Why didn't Trump lead his QAnon Army into Washington, D.C., on March 4th and be inaugurated as President --- several security agencies and many in the Mainstream media had spoken about it as if it were something that might really happen

Last night, Tucker Carlson explained that the left apparently lives in fear of a populist uprising of well-armed Americans driving their pickup and larger trucks through the puny police and National Guard barriers and fences in and around the nations capital  ---  and repeating the all-to-successful assault on the Capitol of January 6th

The historicists on the left really fear another historical moment, one that they know is long-overdue for repetition in capitals across the West  ---  Mussolini's October 1922 "March on Rome"  ---  which ushered in more than twenty-two years of Fascist rule over Italy

In many ways, today's so-called "QAnon Army" and/or a variety of Alt-Right militias are quite analogous to the "Squadristi" Fascist militias, which were the flying squads and shock troops of the historic March on Rome of 1922, and its contemporary penetrations across various key locales around Italy

The most important historic reality about the Fascist Revolution in Italy was that it was accomplished relatively peacefully, with power handed over to Mussolini by the prior socialist regime without large-scale bloodshed.

At present, similar paths are being explored here in the United States.  Many on the left believe that several of the Capitol Police assisted the demonstrators in their takeover of the Capitol. Multiple post-January 6th investigations are trying to root-out active Trump supporters in the U.S. military and other security agencies.  Whether any of that gets anywhere remains to be seen.

Because of the careerist bent of most senior military officers in the U.S. military and security agencies, there seems to be little worry of a "Francoist" style rebellion, much less "revolution." However, Victor Hanson Davis has pointed out that there still remain some true warriors even at the highest administrative levels of the U.S. armed services, and even among their allies in the military-industrial complex [and a rapid rise of a robust militarist sentiment, like in post-WW I Germany and Japan is not impossible].
