White House asks Pentagon to augment Capitol and D.C. Metro police through September 2021 because of an as yet undisclosed threat

Newsmax and Fox News have reported that the National Security Council has asked the Pentagon for its input, so as to to provide support to Capitol Police “at least through Fall 2021” ---  possibly from National Guard  [and according to another Fox report  ---  possibly from Army Reserve and Regular Army] units

Republican members of congress are complaining that  "I have no idea [of this threat over here] because we can't [ ] get a briefing on it."

GOP member of Congress asks  >>>  “Just tell me why....  At the end of the day, just explain [ ] why we have the National Guard troops [here] … more than [the total of our troops] in Iraq and Afghanistan combined.”

In an interview with “Fox & Friends” earlier today, freshman Rep. Lisa McClain, R-Mich., said most members of Congress have never been briefed on why thousands of troops have remained in place for more than a month after the January 6th incursion into the Capitol by protesting Americans.
According to Congresswoman McClain  >>> "....  They’re talking about sending a thousand more National Guard troops from my state of Michigan [to Washington], for reasons that we don't know...."
She also indicated that “[I and others] have asked for a briefing as to why we need these troops here....  We’ve received zero response....  [It s]ure does seem like a lot of symbolism over substance..."
During her remarks on Fox,  the Congresswoman referred to Washington, D.C., as “...a ghost town.”
According to the report on these matters on the Newsmax site, in a separate report from a Fox News affiliate in Washington, D.C.,  the National Security Council is asking the Pentagon to help provide support to Capitol Police “at least through Fall 2021” .....

  1. If the January 6th patriots had fully exercised their Second Amendment rights along with their First Amendment rights, the Capitol would still be in the hands of patriots, or looked like the Abbey at Monte Cassino in May of 1944.

  2. UPDATE & BACKFILL ON OTHER MATTERS RELATED TO THE EVENTS OF JANUARY 6TH: THE "NY TIMES RECANTS VERY QUIETLY" EDITION

According to the Breitbart News, even though it's been known for weeks by properly informed observers that U.S. Capitol police officer Brian Sicknick was not beaten to death with a fire extinguisher during January’s Capitol Hill riot, the New York Times waited until after former President Trump’s impeachment acquittal was a virtual done deal to issue any kind of retraction.

The Times' piece claiming that Sicknick was murdered by the mob was "updated" (meaning "corrected") on February 12th. By then, the impeachment trial was almost over and Trump’s acquittal was a foregone conclusion. (He was acquitted the next day).

Several news outlets across the political spectrum and many in the MSM are reporting on the Times' volte-face.

The story started making waves yesterday when Julie Kelly reported on it in "American Greatness"..... However, it was not in the mainstream sources until today, when Real Clear Politics and others, like Breitbart referenced the Times "update" or the Julie Kelly article.

  3. As we approach the start of Lent this week, something to think about that was said as part of Father Anthony’s Homily at Mass this passed Sunday: “What is your attitude toward those on the fringes of society?”

GIVEN THE VAGUENESS OF YOUR QUESTION, I FELT AT LIBERTY TO GIVE A RATHER EXTREME RESPONSE --- NEEDLESS TO SAY, THERE ARE SOME VERY GIFTED GENIOUS TYPES THAT ARE WAY OUT THERE ON THE FRINGES

"FATHER ANTHONY ???" SOUNDS LIKE HE MIGHT BE TRYING TO MAKE YOU SWALLOW SOMETHING BY TRICKING YOU INTO THINKING YOU SHOULD FEEL GUILTY BY NOT SWALLOWING --- AFTER ALL, HE IS A "FATHER" OF SORTS --- NOT MY FATHER OR YOUR FATHER, BUT "A FATHER"

I never trust these "Fathers" that use their first names.....

  6. UPDATE & BACKFILL ON JANUARY 6TH REALATED MATTERS: THE "CAPITOL HILL POLICE OFFICERS LASH OUT AT THEIR PAST AND PRESENT BOSSES" EDITION

IN A VOTE YESTERDAY, THE U.S. CAPITOL POLICE LABOR UNION VOTED 92% AGAINST THEIR ACTING CHIEF YOGANADA PITTMAN IN A VOTE OF "NO CONFIDENC" IN HER LEADERSHIP --- "THE CURRENT LEADERSHIP IS JUST A CONTINUATION OF THE PAST REGIMES... AND THERE NEEDS TO BE ACCOUNTABILITY. THEIR FAILURES ARE INEXCUSABLE...." SAID THE CHAIRMAN OF THE CAPITOL POLICE UNION

Both the Capitol Police Officers' vote and the statements by their union were reported on Fox News and Newsmax. The gist of it was as follows:

"'We hope congressional leaders and the entire Capitol Hill community understands that continuing with the current USCP leadership is not an option,' union Chairman Gus Papathanasiou said in a statement.... The current leadership is just a continuation of the past regimes on [top of] this department and there needs to be accountability. Their failures are inexcusable. This vote, which the majority of the officers in the bargaining unit participated in, shows they have lost our trust. The anger in this department is widespread and the trust that has been broken it is not going to be regained.'... Pittman assumed command Jan. 8, two days after the breach...."

It was noted by Newsmax that in addition to Acting Chief Pittman, other leadership officials of the Capitol Police were also subject to the 'no confidence" vote, including Capt. Ben Smith, Assistant Chief Chad Thomas, acting Assistant Chief Sean Gallagher, Deputy Chief Timothy Bowen, Deputy Chief Jeffrey Pickett, and Deputy Chief Eric Waldow.....

  8. RESPONSE: THE "MIS-/UN- INFORMED COMMENTER" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 10:00 AM"

THERE IS JUST SO MUCH WRONG IN YOUR SHORT COMMENT --- BUT YOU REACHED THE RIGHT CONCLUSION --- WILL WONDERS NEVER CEASE !!!

THERE WERE PROBABLY FEWER THAT 2000 CAPITOL POLICE SCHEDULED TO BE "ON DUTY" AT THE CAPITOL DURING THE TIME OF THE KEY EVENTS OF JANUARY 6TH --- THE CAPITOL POLICE HAVE DUTIES IN SEVERAL CONGRESSIONAL AND OTHER BUILDINGS, AND STRUCTURES AND FACILITIES ON CAPITOL HILL --- AND THERE ARE TIMES WHEN CAPITOL POLICE RESPOND TO CALLS BEYOND THEIR GEOGRAPHIC PERIMETER OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

Here's how one popular data base describes the ambit of the U.S. Capitol Police: ".... The United States Capitol Police has the primary responsibility for protecting life and property, preventing, detecting, and investigating criminal acts, and enforcing traffic regulations throughout a complex of congressional buildings, parks, and thoroughfares. The Capitol Police has primary jurisdiction within buildings and grounds of the United States Capitol Complex. It also has concurrent jurisdiction with other law enforcement agencies, including the United States Park Police and the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia, in an area of approximately 200 blocks around the complex. Officers also have jurisdiction throughout the District of Columbia to take enforcement action when they observe or are made aware of crimes of violence while on official duties. Additionally, they are charged with the protection of members of Congress, officers of Congress, and their families throughout the entire United States, its territories and possessions, and the District of Columbia. While performing protective functions, the Capitol Police have jurisdiction throughout the entire United States...."

Clearly NOT >>> "one building" <<<

You definitely don't seem to be a "Missuzz," but you definitely are a "Mis-/Un-" on a mission.....
