Everybody needs to give a look at the KCP article about --- WAIT FOR IT !!! --- "Republican Outreach in Brooklyn"

Well, I suppose, Christmastime is a time for fun and games, and high frivolity.....  In England, Christmas dinner includes wearing funny hats and crowns, and everybody getting party poppers or a ratchet- rattle

And "Once upon a time, a very long time ago,"  I would have laughed at the insiders' joke, if there was any talk about "Brooklyn GOP outreach" to the minority community  ---  but that joke played out a long, long time ago  >>>  and just like Scotland and bagpipes most of the folks never got the joke, and they still don't.....

But once in a dogs age, somebody talks about GOP outreach to the minority community like it were a real thing.  >>>  It is not. <<<   And it hasn't been since the days when Edmund Seergy was GOP Chairman, and a young Frank Voyticky joined in with people like Arthur Bramwell and his brother the judge to be the semblance of an active Republican Party in their community in parts of North, Central and Eastern Brooklyn

In 1993 and 1994 when my political plays included real outreach into a handful of communities in North, Central and Eastern Brooklyn, I met with a group from around Ridgewood and Cypress Hills.  They were old line Vito Battista conservative Republicans, and I think they met under a tree pretty far out on Atlantic Avenue, by City Line  >>>  they had one strategy "Hold Out" until some kind of help arrived  ---  "Outreach" was not a part of their plan at all; and they thought that was just fine   ---  "...but that was once upon a time, and now the tree is gone".....

For the most part, the KCP article by Ariama C. Long is kind of benign and inoffensive, except where it seems to suggest that the Republican Party and the Conservative Party are pretty much the same thing. In fact, it called a man named Constantin Jean-Pierre "... a staunch member of the Republican and Conservative Party...";  that pretty much convinced me that she is a relative of former Conservative Party Chairman Mike Long, because even though he said that wasn't so, for the longest time he pretty much acted like he ran both the Republican and Conservative Parties, in Brooklyn, and with a few exceptions, around most of the rest of the state.

  1. Outreach is a broad term. It can involve voter registration drives, community forums or a neighborhood rally. It can be giving out turkeys during the holidays or offering a pregnant woman standing on a crowded subway car a can of Heineken.

  2. You know it must be bad when Joel Acevedo [he the wicked smart and talented president of the Brooklyn Young Republican Club] is calling out Capano and McCabe for not producing any significant or desired effect locally.

  3. Stockton Calif just elected a Republican Mayor. By 7%.

  4. "significant or desired effect".

    WTF does that mean?

  5. Not true Gale. When Henry Snead was a DL, I remmeber Snead and Eaton held several events a year in the minority parts of Brooklyn, and they were very successful events.

  6. RESPONSE: THE "WHAT ANY OF IT MEANS" EDITION

TO THE COMMENTERS ABOVE ON THIS THREAD

I HOPE EVERYBODY HAD A NICE CHRISTMAS DAY AND HAD A CHANCE TO SHARE IT WITH SOMEBODY --- THAT IS ONE FORM OF PERSONAL OUTREACH THAT MATTERS --- IN ONE'S PERSONAL LIFE, IN POLITICS AND GENERALLY.....

I think that "DL" means district leader, but I really can't tell what "... at 2:26" meant by saying something about McCabe's and somebody else's, "not producing any significant or desired effect locally".....

As for "Eaton" and "Snead" and "successful events" --- just a simple question >>> "WHAT EVENTS" ???

  7. WTF is a district leader? I think the misinformed above mean state committee.

    GOTCHA !!!

  9. When the local GOP mirrors the diversity of the city and takes a fiscally conservative economic and socially liberal view they can begin becoming competitive - mirroring National GOP a disaster for them but Capano, McCabe and Quaglione haven't received the memo yet.

  10. WTF is Eaton Sneads?

  11. Maybe that's the GOP candidate for mayor; it sure would be a better vote getter than anybody named Sliwa or Catsimadidis.

  12. Sliwa has begun outreach to the major GOP power players for Mayor.

  13. 1009 is right on the money. You can’t mimic the national party inside New York City. However, there’s significant ground to be made being strong fiscal conservatives. Everyone, less the most wide eyed liberals are tired of ever increasing taxes and the rising cost of living that is driving New Yorkers across this state out in droves year after year.

  19. RESPONSE & EXPLANATION: THE "NOT ENOUGH CONTRITION" EDITION

RE: THE THREE DELETED COMMENTS IMMEDIATELY ABOVE & OTHER MATTERS

BOB CAPANO'S "TIME OUT" WILL BE INDEFINITITELY EXTENDED UNTIL WE HAVE ALL HAVE ACHIEVED "HERD IMMUNINTY" FROM THE EFFECTS OF HIS DECEITFUL AND UNETHICAL AVOIDANCE OF THE TRUTH AS AN ULTRA-PARTISAN JOURNALIST WHO WROTE FALSEHOODS IN HIS COLUMN ON BEHALF OF FORMER GOP STATE SENATE CANDIDATE RATSO VITO BRUNO

ALSO CAPANO'S CONTINUED TOUTING OF THE LIKES OF CURTIS SLIWA AND/OR JOHN CATSIMATIDIS TO BE THE GOP MAYORAL CANDIDATE IN 2021 IS JEJUNE, FECKLESS & LATELY >>> QUITE BORING

The GOP no longer has any political cred in NYC or NYS, it would be wiser for it to be backing a "Fusion" candidate for mayor in 2021. That somebody should be as much like Raymond Maguire as possible --- if Jacobin Democrats are against him, then the Brooklyn GOP should be for him --- and not some tin pot billionaire grocer or some faux-vigilante radio show host.

  20. Are nick chambers and Craig Eaton in "time out" also????

NO, NICK CHEMBERAS IS NOT IN TIME OUT.....

ONLY BOB CAPANO IS IN INDEFINITE TIME OUT.....

Sometimes, you just have to sit in a corner for a while and just think about all the reasons that you are being punished.

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 8:03 AM" & "... AT 8:43 AM"

BOBBY, BOBBY, BOBBY !!! STOP CARRYNG ON LIKE A PETULANT CHILD.....

NOBODY FEARS YOU..... NOT JUSTIN "B" --- NOT LIAM "Mc" --- NOT JOHNNY "Q" PUBLIC

IT TAKES MORE THAN HAVING BEER IN A CAN IN A BAG ON A SUBWAY TO BE A MAN >>> IT ALSO TAKES HEFTY HANDS AND PONDEROUS FEET

Right now, Bobby, you're still right out there as some guy tooting his own horn and trying to convince all the folks that it's a parade going by.....

You are a very long way from being "A MAN WITH A HORN" >>> and you sure ain't no Kirk Douglas or Harry James, because both of them had manly hands and feet.

As far as getting back into the good graces of this blog --- the answer is simple >>> CONFESS, ADMIT THAT YOU ARE A SINNER, DO YOUR PENANCE IN GOD'S GRACE, AND COMMIT TO SINNING NO MORE.....

As for people laughing at anybody..... When you were unethically shilling for Ratso Vito Bruno back in the 2020 campaign, it might have felt like your hands and feet, and possibly other body parts, were growing; however, it was only your nose getting longer like the little puppet boy Pinocchio. Bob, the people always laugh at puppets, who have long tree branches and birds perched where their noses are supposed to be.
