The truth about Ted Ghorra's FOUR wins in the 2020 election cycle.....

.....  Let's start with the FACT that two of those wins  ---  Nicole Malliotakis & Michael Tannousis  ---  were due 90% to the work done by the Staten Island GOP operation and campaigning on Staten Island by the candidates and their campaigns

Any positive impact upon the vote for Malliotakis & Tannousis in Brooklyn were overwhelmingly due to to the campaigns of those candidates, and very little to do with anything done by the Brooklyn GOP  >>>  and especially anything done by Ted Ghorra

As for the "WINS" by Vito Bruno for the NYS Senate and Mark Szuszkiewicz for the NYS Assembly  ---  they are anything but a done deal;  in fact, there are legitimate reasons to believe that those results are now somewhat in doubt.....

In any case, to the extent that either of those Brooklyn GOP candidates might hold on to what originally were called as "wins"  ---  again those "wins," or either one of them, were/was very little to do with anything done by the Brooklyn GOP and/or Ted Ghorra

When all the votes are counted and finally certified, there will be plenty of time to do deep dives into who won what, and where and how those elected officeholders' "wins" were accomplished.

Routine and pro forma "thank you" rituals are not indicative of any real gratitude- and affection-to, and influence by the Brooklyn GOP as led by Ted Ghorra.

  1. The Brooklyn GOP as led by Ted Ghorra lost on Election Day 2020 because Staten Island is the only reason Nicole and Michael Tannousis won. Republicans were systematically slaughtered in Bay Ridge. Say what you will about Galewyn Massey but his analysis is always on point even if he is blogging from the sugar-white beaches on Florida’s Panhandle he still has a better handle on the current situation than anybody living in Ny-11

  2. 3:28 PM it's funny you say that since I overheard Jerry "The Puppetmaster" Kassar at the supermarket yesterday on the phone with someone saying he thinks Skevich wins but Bruno loses. He was buying 2 large boxes of bran flakes (they were on sale). I was going to ask for his autograph but he looked frail in his Short Sleeve Casual Button Up

  3. RESPONSE: THE "NOT THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 3:28 PM"

THANK YOU, FOR YOUR KIND WORDS..... HOWEVER, THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE IS SO FAR AWAY, MOST OF IT IS IN A DIFFERENT TIME ZONE

Daytona Beach is on the Florida Atlantic coast, about midway between Cape Canaveral and St. Augustine; it's at the Northeast terminus of the I-4 Highway and corridor, which crosses the state diagonally to the Southwest, passing through Orlando and ending in Tampa on the Gulf Coast.

  4. Ted 4 Craig 0? Craig left the Chairmanship in 2016 in epic fashion, due to personal family reasons. So saying Craig 0 really makes 0 sense here. What you should be saying is Ted -2 in 2018 and Ted +0 in 2020 because both of the wins were for candidates whose districts are mostly in SI. If Vito and Mark win, which is extremely doubtful at this time, then he gets +1 because he did nothing for either of them

  6. Ted needs to go!!!!! Even Marty Golden said these secretly on election night.

There is no love lost there. But Kassar loves Ghorra because he can work him like a little puppet..people like Kassar like puppets to play with. Because they have no friends.

  7. Marty has not ruled out running against Boss Brannan for Council next year. He's waiting to see how Andy does in the absentee count

  8. Marty vs. Brannan would be a Clash of the Titans! I would pay to see that.

  9. Nicole won the Brooklyn side of CD. She beat max by 2%. All of the new elected representatives will be united in Martys return.

  14. The Democrat vote inside the boundaries of the 43rd Council District was high. Biden and Rose cleaned up on Brannan won't be beat in 21.

  17. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Marty's star is no more. It's time to move on. Tannousis beat Kepi in Marty's own Election District!

As others have noted, Orthodox and Hasidic communities delivered the "Red Mirage" plus white working class voters and lots of cops. It used to extend further west but the 43rd Council District is blue now.

  21. Here's the latest, Andrew Gounardes appeared to be deep in trouble after he was down on Election Day to Republican Vito Bruno by lots of votes. Since then, Gounardes has picked up 5,000 votes through counting the "absentee" votes, and now he is down by just 300 votes with almost 7,000 absentee ballots left to count.

  22. Andrew wins. Frontis wins. The Brooklyn GOP only exists because of Staten Island. And now the weather with Mr. Gee
