Curtis Sliwa, a true self-promoting scumbag, comes to Vito Bruno, another self-promoting scumbag's defense
Sliwa's recent Op-Ed on the "Kings County Politics" site accuses the Gounardes Campaign of "... Ridiculous... Lies and Smears Against Vito Bruno" --- and here is all that Curtis Sliwa actually complained about >>> "Recently I saw a mailer by [State Sen.] Andrew Gounardes attacking the candidate that I am supporting for State Senate in southwest Brooklyn, Vito Bruno.... It shows a chalk outline of a body and a picture of Vito Bruno on the other side with huge red letters screaming 'Guilty.' ” That was the last specific reference to that mailer.....
After that it was Sliwa's generalizing about implications that Vito Bruno was either a mobster or had mob affiliations, or talking about Vito Bruno's hiring gang bangers to handle security at some of his clubs --- with anecdotes that seemed more about others than Vito Bruno
What Sliwa didn't address were the very well-documented charges against Whiney Ratso Vito Bruno contained in several of Andrew Gounardes' campaign mailers over the last several weeks --- charges that tied Vito Bruno and Vito Bruno's varied business enterprises tightly to a pattern of unlawful and in countless instances criminal activities, involving violence, up to and including murder, trafficking in drugs, police corruption, and assorted anti-social activities constituting public nuisances that led state and local authorities to shut down many, if not most, of Vito Bruno's businesses and/or business activities involving others.....
If you read Sliwa's op-ed in "KCP" you might think that Vito Bruno ran some kind of charities for wayward boys, not unlike Father Bruce Ritter..... Well, that kind of stuff might have been going on too, but I'm sure that the Gounardes' campaign mailers didn't go into any of that about Vito Bruno >>> those details would have to come from Curtis Sliwa
Andy is despised by everyone. This race is a cake walk.

ReplyDeleteDSA defund police end cash bail Andy thinks Soros mailers will fool people.
ReplyDeleteTwo weeks from today and chair Ghorra is on his way to the winning tri fecta and becoming state GOP chair. If he wants it.
72% of staten island voters back trump. Why would they support Max? Because he voted to impeach?
ReplyDeleteCrime is up 98% since Andy took office. Why would anyone support Andy?
RESPONSE: THE "WHO COMMENTED AT 10:30 - 10:55 - 11:02 & 11:22 ???" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO THAT PARTICULAR "ANONYMOUS" COMMENT MAKER
SUCH SILLINESS.....
So much effort, so little benefit for anybody.....
I thought Sliwa endorsed Andrew last time? What changed? Vito paid him off?
ReplyDeleteAndrew showed he doesn’t have a mind of his own. His votes led to unpopular policy like bail/discovery reform and an inability to get property tax relief for southern Brooklyn.
DeleteSliwa is also for term limits, and Marty was in overtime. He publicly stated he regrets endorsing Andrew.
Vito Bruno must be the most COVID-19 conscious person in America. Look at all of the pictures on Vito Bruno's social media; all of them show him with only one or two people nearby. That's it one or two! The rest of the 'crowds' must be out of frame at a very, very safe social distance.
ReplyDeleteWatch him out on the street; a life-sized photo silhouette would work just as well. He is almost invisible, most people just walk on by giving him a wide berth.
In the age of coronavirus, Vito Bruno is just one lonely guy.
Senator in waiting Bruno is far from lonely. Unemployed unemployable GOP consultant wanna bees posting comments are lonely.
ReplyDeleteShootings up 128%
ReplyDeleteRape up 67%
Street Crime up 192%
so silly. silly little things nobody cares about.
What has Vito Bruno had to say about COVID-19?
ReplyDeleteHas he even heard about it?
Considering he lost his mother to it, I think he definitely heard of it. Try reading, it could make you smarter.
DeleteVito Bruno wears brown shoes with short cuffed chino pants. What a rube.
ReplyDeleteIf elected will nicole get a face transplant
ReplyDeleteWho cares? When the 72% that voted for Trump vote, they will remember that in 2016 Nicole was a 'Never Trump' RINO, and she could think of nothing good to say about Trump in 2017 when she ran for mayor as a RINO candidate.
ReplyDeleteShootings up 128% in Bay Ridge this means 3 shootings compared to 1 last year. Rape up 67% is 2 rapes compared to 0. Your all playing with the wrong deck of cards. We won't beat these DemocRATS using the same 1968 Richard Nixon playbook.
ReplyDeleteBut Nixon won.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely voting for Vito. At best we have someone who can leverage his role in a swing district to play both sides of the aisle and get things done. At worst we have the same representation we currently have (next to nothing). Gournades is a let down and a rubber stamp for Stewart Cousins and Giannaris.
ReplyDeleteWhen Nixon won, Woody Hayes was coaching from a playbook that was all about 'three yards and a cloud of dust,' mostly with lots of big slow white guys.
ReplyDeleteThe white guys are still big and slow, but there aren't enough of them anymore.
The name of the game now is 'diversity', both with respect to the players and the plays in the playbook.
1239, you are dumber'n dirt. In the state senate, a Republican is a Republican is a Republican. There ain't no Republican state senator 'who can leverage his role in a swing district to play both sides of the aisle and get things done'; almost all of them are swing districts or soon will be.
ReplyDeleteVote for Vito if you want to, I ain't makin' a difference.
But, 1239, did I ever enjoy telling you your reasons sucked and that you are dumber'n dirt.
204, maybe you’ve slept through many of the state senate sessions for the past years? Hell, Simcha Felder played both sides and held up an entire budget to get things done for his district.
DeletePerhaps you’re needed at another park clean up with Gournades and Brannon?
9:26, I have just a few questions for you.
ReplyDeleteWhen did Simcha Felder become a Republican?
When did that last happen?
Do you mind if I start calling you 'dad', because you are dumb as dirt?
Who’s talking about Felders party? He was a Democrat who caucused with Republicans to give them the majority, which gave him oversized influence.
DeleteCould Bruno do the same if he won? Maybe, maybe not. Depends on how things go. Inevitably there will be an alliance between upstate and Long Island dems is they maintain the majority, would a senator Gournades participate in that?
With Bruno, we have what we have now at worst. Which is a rubber stamp for the rest of the nyc dems and someone who can’t even keep campaign promises despite being in the majority party who controls the senate, assembly and governor.
