Brooklyn GOP politically weaponizes 9/11 Memorial Event --- by launching an event that competes with the long -time memorial event held on the 69th Street Pier

The flyer announcing a Friday evening gathering at the "McKinley Park Flagpole" demonstrates the obviously partisan political nature of the event  ---  supposedly to honor 9/11 victims  ---  jointly sponsored by the Brooklyn Tea Party and Glen Nocera, along with Vito Bruno, Nicole Malliotakis, along with others like Marty Golden

Meanwhile, the more traditional and longstanding event at the 9/11 Memorial on the 69th Street Pier is still scheduled to go forward

There can be no real explanation for the dueling events other that pure and naked politics by the people mentioned above.  It's clear that Vito Bruno had a hand in this with Glen Nocera,  because Vito Bruno topped the lists of "Special Guests"  ---  ahead of the mention of the names of Nicole Malliotakis and Marty Golden.....  Interestingly, the flyer that I was given misidentified the location of McKinley Park  (I don't know if that error was caught and corrected at any point.....).

A local leader in Bay Ridge said this is just "Low !!!"  And elsewhere the words 'Just wrong" were used about the event inexplicably being held away from the formal 9/11 Monument on the 69th Street Pier and the traditional ceremonies being held there this year, just like last year, and the year before that, and the year before that,  etc., etc., etc.,  and so forth.....

  1. Jim Mccall isn't fooling anybody. He's in Florida and he has turned the keys of his phony Republican blog over to his friends aNdy and fatso, so they can whine about things like this all through the 2020 election campaign.

    Vitoa nd Nicole will win

  2. Brilliant move by Chairpersons Ghorra and Kassar. While Nicole and Vito bask in the spotlight Andy and Slim talk about anything except the trash bin they've turned bay ridge into. Does Andy leave the house without permission from boss slim?

  6. RESPONSE: THE " 'ON THE BEACH' HERE IN DAYTONA, FLORIDA " EDITION

TO: EVERYBODY COMMENTING ABOVE; BUT ESPECIALLY "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 10:37 AM"

    FIRST: I'M HERE IN JIM MC CALL'S BEACHSIDE BUNKER;
    SECOND: THE KEYS TO THIS VEHICLE ARE RIGHT HERE IN >>> MY <<< POCKET;
THIRD: SO FAR, EVERYBODY HAS MISSED A MAJOR POINT IN WHAT I WROTE IN THE MAIN POST ABOVE; AND
FOURTH: I WILL EXPLAIN IT TO YOU FROM JIM MCCALL'S H-P COMPUTER DOWN HERE A BLOCK AND A HALF FROM THE DAYTONA BEACHFRONT

Everybody mentioned in the flyer announcing the competing purely political 9/11 event seems to be writing off all of Bay Ridge southwest of the bridge cut; probably hoping that they can carve out an enclave for Ratso Vito Bruno on the Dyker Heights side of the cut. Nobody hoping to carry the main chunk of Bay Ridge would ever say that it's a "... trash bin..." like comment maker "... at 10:37 AM" did. In addition, the comment maker, "... at 10:37 AM," confirmed that all the GOP and Conservative Party Chairmen were 100% behind this --- that's very political indeed. It's also the problem with politically weaponizing anything like a 9/11 Memorial --- that weapon can be turned around and used against you.

There really is something very wrong with the messaging by the sponsors of and "guests" at this non-traditional political "memorial" event at a venue far from the Bay Ridge 9/11 Memorial, where the traditional event had long been scheduled. Maybe, this crowd is so desperate that they will let Ratso Vito Bruno take over the whole shebang and turn it into one of his signature "outlaw" raves akin to a flash mob in lower Dyker Heights.

  7. Bidens taking questions. Odd thing is his staff picks the reporter and Biden reads answer off teleprompter.

  8. Listen to Biden today, what an intrusion of federal authority --- how many times is the man going to use the term 'universal'. More important, has anybody kept a running count of the cost of everything that he is proposing.

When asked about shutting down the economy, Biden said that the economy can't proceed until the virus 'is controlled' and then started talking about everybody wearing masks, and then out of nowhere Biden said he didn't have the authority to issue a national masking mandate, because he is a constitutionalist.

  9. Biden had the authority to get China to pay his dope addict son 1.5 billion dollars.

  12. Oh, that's right, the Biden Democrats changed everything, because Trump got a one or two point bump and Biden held his own. Not very likely.

  13. No RCP polls out today have biden up 6 to 11 points. Trump is getting wiped out.

  15. Quick Question for all you Nicole fans...

How can she even come close to winning, when the SI electeds havent endorsed her, are not helping her, and as you all know, really dont like her and want her to lose so that they can be rid of her forever. I dont blame them. She is so full of herself, thinks her shit doesnt stink and walks around like she is somebody.....

This was a brilliant plan by the SI electeds..let her run for Congress, which means she has to give up her Assembly seat, and then help her to lose so she has no choice but to go into the private sector. I have to hand it to them in SI, they are shrewd but brilliant.

In Brooklyn, we also cant wait to be rid of her. She is nothing but a kassar puppet and if she does win, Oh God, she will hire all of Gerry's cronies, since we all know they are unemployable in the private sector.

Love the SI electeds...cheers to you. and Thanks...

  16. Grasshopper II, you show great wisdom for one so young. You think deep thoughts late into the night and into the morning before the sun.

Tonight and this morning, YOU, the student, have taught ME, the teacher, a small but valuable lesson --- one can know something quite well, and still learn it again and better.

  20. 817, are you kidding? 'Nicole has reason to be full of herself. Shes young attractive and a national player.' She's not so young, not so attractive and whether she plays locally, in Albany or nationally, everybody knows she ain't gettin' any.

For sure, she ain't no Janelle. Maybe with a little electrolysis, lots of time in the gym like Mikey, and some surgical work on the face and bod...

  23. UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "RATSO VITO BRUNO THINKS INDOOR RESTAURANT DINING IS THE BIGGEST ISSUE OF THE DAY" EDITION

WITH EVERYTHING ELSE ON EVERYBODY'S MIND IN 2020, VITO BRUNO WANTS US ALL TO FORGET ANYTHING ELSE SO SOME OF HIS FRIENDS WHO OWN RESTAURANTS CAN MAKE A FEW MORE BUCKS --- WHY CAN'T RATSO FIND SOME REAL ISSUES TO RUN ON AGAINST STATE SENATOR GOUNARDES ???

Hers's what Ratso thinks is a good political attack on State Senator Amdrew Gounardes:

"Vito Bruno for New York Senate
    9/2/2020
I'm calling on State Senator Andrew Gounardes to end his double speak and join Corey Johnson in telling his political mentor Mayor Bill de Blasio to resume indoor dining IMMEDIATELY! Small businesses, restaurants in particular especially their hundreds of thousands of employees have suffered long enough while the rest of the state is open. #TimeForChange #VitoBrunoStateSenate" (See https://www.facebook.com/vito.bruno.5872682).

Once again, is Ratso Vito Bruno sure that he isn't running against Bill deBlasio
--- didn't Ratso notice that he was quoting the leader of the NY City Counsel and not the leader of the NY State Senate?

  24. Nicole is up Kassars a_ _ and everyone know it. And those that hate Kassar, which quite frankly includes the SI electeds, will make sure Nicole loses because if she were to win the GOP would get nothing and Kassar would strut around with that fat body as if he owns a Congresswoman.

And nobody want any of that to happen!!

  26. Vito Bruno is so clueless. The restaurateurs want the openings, but not the public. They care more about the lingering Corona virus. Has he even heard about the Corona Virus? Has he said 'Word One' about COVID-19.

  29. RESPONSE: THE "DON'T BE RIDICULOUS" EDITION

    TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 12:31"

BY WHAT DEFINITION OR METRIC DO YOU DEFINE THE "EVERYONE" THAT IS SUPPOSEDLY "SUPPORTING" RATSO VITO BRUNO ?????

I certainly don't support Vito Bruno --- and I reach out to lots of readers through this blog --- yesterday it was over 2000.....

The recent anti-Bruno mailer from the Gounardes Campaign had a real and immediate impact on the campaign --- and its early distribution is indicative that there will be much more of the same coming.

By November 2020 nobody will be supporting Ratso Vito Bruno.
