Marty Golden. Nicole Malliotakis and Vito Bruno again involved in a violent confrontation --- this time on the Brooklyn Bridge

The Brooklyn GOP's strategy of  "Look at me -- look at me !!!" by its leading politicians  --- Marty Golden, Nicole Malliotakis and Vito Bruno ---  has directly led to several injured police officers attempting to clear away protesters previously encamped on the Brooklyn Bridge

How many times is the same kind of badly planned and poorly executed incendiary provocation going to be tried as a "push back" against  #Black Lives Matter  ---  not only is this ineffective,  it is counterproductive.....

Bloody cops, including a senior command officer, only makes the ATIFA-BLM agitators look stronger to their followers, the public at large, and even to many government officials

Who in the newly merged Brooklyn Conservative-Republican Party will defend today's fiasco,  which is part of tonight's national TV news broadcasts ???

  2. 807, GUFFAW!!! HARDY-HAR-HAR-HAR-HAR !!! You are such a card and a wit.

But Councilman Brannan, who is somewhat portly, had nothing to do with the NYPD injuries on the Brooklyn Bridge today.

That's something that Golden, Malliotakis and Bruno can't say, because they were using the event to try to score political points. More important, what did those three have to do with the NYPD decision to clear the counter-demonstrators off the Brooklyn Bridge in advance of their attempt to cross the bridge.

  4. How many times can Golden, Malliotakis and Bruno attend a rally where violence breaks out and act like nothing happened? this is getting comical

  6. The police were "proactive" when they removed what were up until that moment peaceful protesters.

The reason that they chose today to be especially proactive was most likely because Marty Golden pissed and moaned to whoever would listen that police didn't keep the BLM counter-protesters far enough away from his pro-cop protesters over the weekend. Since today's demonstration was coordinated with a variety of Brooklyn churches, one has to wonder whether Golden was there on behalf of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn or if he influenced anybody based on his position as a representative of the Catholic Church.

  7. NYC has just become the first major city to approve reparations thanks to the progressive leadership of Senator Gournardes and Congressman Rose.

  9. I see the Bay Ridge Courier is back after a 1 year hiatus. That is even more visibility for columnist and future Councilman Capano!!

  10. I recently noticed a series of posters of police officers killed in the line of duty. It's devastating they have lost their lives. However Rep. Nicole Millotakis is using them to further her agenda to polarize relationships with people of color and the police (i.e. the pro-police rally held last weekend in Bay Ridge). I'm concerned for this type of rhetorical creates fear and prejudice among ethnic groups.

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 5:29 PM"

WHY ARE YOU ADDRESSING ME PERSONALLY ? WHO ARE YOU ??? WHAT DO YOU THINK IS FAKE NEWS ?????

"... JUSTIN'S BITCH..." & "... A PROGRESSIVE CUCKOLD..." --- DO YOU EVEN HAVE THE SLIGHTEST CLUE WHAT THOSE THINGS EVEN MEAN ? AND DO YOU HAVE ANY INSIGHT INTO WHAT JUSTIN BRANNAN AND I MIGHT DO OR NOT DO TOGETHER, OR IN ANY COORDINATED OR COOPERATIVE SCHEME OR PLAN THAT WE MIGHT BE WORKING ON ??? AND "FALLEN LOW" WHO EVEN USES SUCH A PHRASE; IS ENGLISH A SECOND LANGUAGE FOR YOU ?????

Since Saturday, Marty Golden, Nicole Malliotakis and Vito Bruno were at provocative anti-BLM rallies and demonstrations for three days in a row. Those specific demonstrations and rallies led to violence all around Bay Ridge and other parts of Brooklyn.

What reasonable and responsible adult could support such tactics and behaviors, or even abide that kind of hateful dog whistling by the newly merged Conservative-Republican Party, and/or its vassals Golden, Malliotakis and Bruno.

  14. BK GOP Leader Brian Doherty's latest social media screed:

"Bay Ridge 2017: A happy, prosperous community where neighbors enjoyed each other’s company as they strolled, ate, drank and listened to live music in support of a thriving business district.

Bay Ridge 2020: A hopeless, hostile and intolerant tinderbox where violent fascists are invited by our Senator and Councilman to burn the American flag and to harass and assault our neighbors, police officers and everyone else who fails to submit to their radical, criminal agenda.

3 years, 2 elections and a couple of hundred votes have taken us from the first video to the second."

Ahh, 2017 ... back when there was no crime in Bay Ridge, clean subways ran on time, the milkman delivered to your door every morning, dutiful wives kissed their husbands as they left for work every morning, and President Eisenhower was the steady hand at America's wheel.

Well, at least in 2020, school children (and all citizens) no longer need to fear for the crazed driving of their Senator near local schools.

  15. Capano 2021 looks stronger and stronger..he was at the Vito Bruno Fundraiser in Bay Ridge, at the local pro NYPD rallies while Liam and Q were MIA at all of them..he continues his column now with even more expanded coverage in the council district with the return this week of the Bay Ridge Courier!! One of his 2 close friends Curtis Sliwa or John Cats will be on the top of the Rep ticket as Mayoral candidate..its all falling in place..have to give bob credit..

  20. Let the record reflect

Golden, Malliotakis and Vito Nino have now been in attendance at no less than 3 marches where violence erupted and they did nothing.

Brannan, and Gounardes, and Max Rose have been in attendance at several rallies where ZERO violence erupted.

  27. Bay Ridge 2017: It was the best of times it was the worst of times. It was the time a young man named Bob emerged as the new generation of a GOP leader which all ended in back to back defeats. Yes Bob lost twice in one year. That is the story of 2017.

  28. Bay Ridge 2017-2020: It was the best of times it was the worst of times. It was the time a young man named Liam emerged as the new generation of a GOP leader which all ended in back to back to back back defeats. Yes Liam lost 4x at least (his own race in 2017, with Ulrich in the Public Advocate Special, with Grimm in the GOP primary against Donovan, just recently with Kepi against Tannousis.

  33. 414, it's plain to see that the only thing that the Brooklyn GOP is sowing is violent confrontations against #BLM led by Golden, Bruno and Malliotakis, and brainless limericks by everybody else.

  34. With the return of the Bay Ridge Courier, in addition to the publication of his weekly column in the 9 other local Courier-Life newspapers in Brooklyn, Capano is now the most notable voice of GOP-Conservative politics in Brooklyn and NYC. The column is also published in Queens Courier newspapers and the citywide AM New York!

  35. I'm starting to believe ----- many of us are ---- that last weekend was done on purpose by Marty to scorch the earth once and for all time. Everyone knows after Marty lost he wanted to pull the ladder all the way up behind him so that no Republican could ever out-shine him and after last weekend's waterloo... I can't see how we ever recover from that. Marty Golden was the ringleader of the 2020 Bay Ridge race riots and now Vito and Nicole are going to run on that?!

  36. Vito is running to win.

  40. It makes no difference how many columns Capano has or hasn't.

All he does is scream and yell and throw gasoline on racial fires.

Bay Ridge may have a few yahoos, but it's not Alabama.

    Capano is toast.

  41. What occurred this passed weekend was so damaging for the 'Verrazano Republicans' that I am actually starting to believe it was done by design as a self sabotage. I haven't figured out 'why' or 'who' just yet but there can just be no way they are happy with how everything went down unless they wanted a race riot. I just don't see how this aids them or any of their hopefuls in the coming election.

THIS BLOG USED GET HITS IN THE LOW HUNDREDS EVERY DAY.... NOW IT'S THE HIGH HUNDREDS MOST DAYS, AND IT'S BREAKING WELL OVER A THOUSAND ON MANY DAYS

Not bad for a blog that pretty much focuses on the nearly empty well of the Brooklyn GOP and it's lackluster bunch of "leaders" and candidates.
