The "CHAZ" model --- a new design for living in 21st Century America

No more bossy state or city governments  ---  heavily armed volunteer patrols rather than murderous cops  ---   borders strictly patrolled and enforced  ---  intrusive and hostile media prohibited

It's heaven on earth

This idea is borrowed from "NOLTE" at  "Breitbart News"  ---  but the "...heaven on earth..." part is mine

  10. 2017 was the summer of love. And they'll never be another one like it.

  12. Bob Capano has a life. A great job wonderful family. Politics doesn’t control his life to the point of getting up at the crack of dawn to write nasty posts about people.

  13. Max Rose agrees that the 6 billion dollar police budget can be cut by a mere 1 billion dollars. The police create crime with 98% of arrests having nothing to do with crime.

The time has come to stop saying the war on drugs has failed and do something about it.

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 12:09 PM"

ACCORDING TO WIKIPEDIA AND MY RECOLLECTION, THE "SUMMER OF LOVE" WAS 1967.....

Here's the Wiki-version: "The Summer of Love was a social phenomenon that occurred during mid-1967, when as many as 100,000 people, mostly young people sporting hippie fashions of dress and behavior, converged in San Francisco's neighborhood of Haight-Ashbury. More broadly, the Summer of Love encompassed the hippie music, drug, anti-war, and free-love scene throughout the American west coast, and as far away as New York City.... Hippies, sometimes called flower children, were an eclectic group. Many were suspicious of the government, rejected consumerist values, and generally opposed the Vietnam War. A few were interested in politics; others were concerned more with art (music, painting, poetry in particular) or spiritual and meditative practices...."

The summer of 1967 was a fantastical time. It was the hiatus after the first season of a tacky sci-fi TV show named "Star Trek," that had a tough time making it through season one and into season two, with a psuedo-Shakespearean Captain Kirk speaking in iambic pentameter. However, it was another breakthrough and breakout show for "Boomers" --- much like "The Monkees" which came out around the same time.

And in July 1967, Jimmy Webb's song "Up, Up and Away" was made into a very big hit by "The Fifth Dimension" --- though it only charted up to #7, the insiders loved it; and it won six Grammies.....

Like Peter Pan in bygone generations, "... we can fly, we can fly..." has an allure that seems to be wind beneath the wings of all these social outbreaks --- whether in 1967 or 2020.

  16. 949a.
Capano quiet? I hear his bi-weekly column was recently made weekly by the Courier Life and has expanded its publication to its Queens newspapers and the citywide AM NY, also run by the same owners. I also heard Capano on WABC radio last week. He has become a leading NYC GOP opinion maker. Obviously that bothers some, just as Nick Chambers having success also rankles people.

    ReplyDelete
  17. 1967 !!!

What are you a 100 years old or something !!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Bob Capano is the only one with the guts to take on Justin. Everybody else is talking behind the scenes meanwhile Bob is doing.

    ReplyDelete
  19. America's Sweetheart Bob Capano is doing his radio show from the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone tomorrow. He bought 1 hour on WABC overnight for $500. He is replacing the Super Bee Pollen infomercial hour

  21. Is "CHAZ" named after Chaz Palminteri or Chaz Bono?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Bob v Justin. Some would call that a food fight. I just see it ending with a food shortage.

    ReplyDelete
  23. When bob & justin are in the room does anyone else matter? Does anyone else fit?

    ReplyDelete
  24. 11:52 is right. Bob has guts. About 300 pounds of guts.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Bob sure seems like the one ready to take on justin in 2021..he is a Republican again, has a weekly column keeping his name out there and most importantly whether it is John Cats or Curtis Sliwa will be running closely with one of his close friends and supporters at the top of the ticket..

    ReplyDelete
  26. Nothing better than Nicky Chambers in a rage posting about Bob and Justin on a Sunday morning. Nothing better!

    ReplyDelete
  27. RESPONSE: THE "ONLY SLIGHTLY TONGUE IN CHEEK" EDITION

TO: ANY REPUBLICAN THINKING ABOUT GOING UP AGAINST JUSTIN IN 2021.....

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING THAT IS ANY DIFFERENT FROM WHAT HASN'T WORKED IN THE PAST ???

My main comment about "CHAZ" was only slightly tongue in cheek..... Lot's of things are broken in our society and in our polity. That very much includes our contemporary Republican Party locally, state wide and nationally.....

People might have forgotten, early in the moves to name Vito Bruno as our state senate candidate in/for Southwest Brooklyn --- I had said i could see supporting him if he ran as a hardcore libertarian Republican, rather than as an ersatz social conservative one.....

If we are to survive and be relevant as a political entity going forward, we will need to adjust both our message and our tactics to be in line with the emerging America of the mid-Twenty-first Century, while at the same time maintaining the threads that tie us to our history and our true values.

    AH THERE'S THE RUB.....

    ReplyDelete
  28. Gale, you raise an excellent point. It would have been brave for this candidate to run on a campaign to legalize not just weed, but coke and oxy. Sure, it would be risky. But the upside is so much more pleasant than the cold reality we are now facing.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I agree Bob should get the nod to take on Brannan in 2021 and If he doesn't get the nod, he should run a 3rd Party Line like last time. Bob deserves the nod. He is Brooklyn's #1 Political Columnist and he knows where every politician's bones are buried and who buried them. He also has worked for Brooklyn Republican and Democrat elected officials, and has been an adjunct political science professor for over 20 years.

Draft Bob vs. Brannan in 2021 !!!!!

We will loose with Liam or John Q

With Bob we have a CHANCE AT THE BRASS RING OF GLORY !

    ReplyDelete
  30. Your right Gale. It hurts me to say it but your absolutely right. It seems we only have one old playbook around here -- Vito Bruno is using the same playbook that Q used against Brannan -- It is a losing playbook -- Liam and Capano use the same playbook and It won't work in 2020 or 2021 -- Unless Chaim Deutsch beats Yvette CLarke -- If Chiam wins, then the playbook works and that's why many of us are keeping a close eye on that race in New York's 9th

    ReplyDelete
  31. 12:10 also Justin or the poor shlub he forced to post this stuff. Bob and Nick are friends. Bob’s help is sought on Nicole and Vito campaign. Seems like Bob has done impressive job of exposing Justin the cop hater all on his own. Has been a work of art. Nick or John or Liam or anyone else chiming in not necessary.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Here is thing thing, the reason Eaton, Capano, and Chanbers are different is that they are not reliant on a govt. paycheck and patronage. Therefore, they dont need to kiss Kassar's or anyone else's ass, which is why they get attacked here by the same old political hacks

    ReplyDelete
  33. I thought this was about CHAZ.

    ReplyDelete
  34. It gets so tiring to hear Bob pontificate about protesters and cops and crime and jesus if you look out your window anywhere in Bay Ridge or Bensonhurst it's totally the apocalypse right now. Zombies are eating children on 86th Street and nuns are being forced to mix whites and colors when they do the parish priest's laundry.

I almost liked him better when he freaked out at the end of the council debate and realized he was drowning, and started lashing out at everyone. Almost.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Bob is the only one whose body of work needs no introduction.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Wow
The dems are really going after Capano here..we see who they fear the most in 2021

    ReplyDelete
  37. When Marko looses next week, Liam is officially over, again.

Nick Shambearus can't run for office because he has a bum foot or knee (I forget which but he told me once)

John Q is too busy writing messages about what restaurant he ordered food from last night and taking photos of sunsets (he must be heavily medicated)

Bob Capano is the only adult in the arena. Give them man his due!

Capano is King of All Media! With Bob we have a CHANCE AT THE BRASS RING OF GLORY !

    ReplyDelete
  38. Liam did crush bob like an eggplant in 2017.

    ReplyDelete
  39. So if Bob won't let zombies eat children on 86th Street, will he allow them to feed on 13th Avenue residents?

    ReplyDelete
  40. 1108, you are a clueless clown. No defamation anywhere in 927's comment and nobody needs to pit any 'locals' against each other, they actually like doing it all on their own.

And here is a fact about one of those locals, Bob Capano is more of an insider with 2020's top GOP candidates than either Liam or Q, and Bob is more visible week to week than those guys or anybody else.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Did anyone have the pleasure of seeing Kepi's Post of the grand opening of his campaign office this weekend. The photos are bad bu the video is even worse. They show illiterate and useless supporters like Old Man Marty who is barely literate; John Q who looks like they poured him into his suit (John either lose some weight or get e new wardrobe); and Anthony (I want to be somebody but the fact is I am too stupid to keep a job or keep my mouth shut) Testiverde-you know the guy who sucked up to Golden and Kassar for years and then they both three him to the curb after some idiotic FB post.

    What a team?

And Kepi, why are you opening an ofice 10 days before the primary? What a waste of money. You know that Kassar, who you work with for years, is supporting the other dope for this race - and he TOLD Ghorra that that is what he is doing as well.

    ReplyDelete
  42. 2:59 is obviously Galewynn trying to stir shit again. But he would be wise to look at recent NYS rulings on defamation. He can’t be openly favoring Justin anymore so these are the kind of posts we get.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I don't think Justin has to pit the GOP locals against each other because it seems we are doing it fine on our own. Bob is the only operator in the field doing anything of substance now. The rest of the lot may as well retire to Hallandale Beach and call it a career

    ReplyDelete
  44. RESPONSE: THE "YOU ARE SO FULL OF SHIT" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 9:14 AM"

"... THESE ARE THE KIND OF POSTS WE GET."

The kind of post this is --- is one about the "CHAZ" commune in Seattle --- it's clowns like you that brought it back to feckless, jejune, and picayune persiflage concerning the pathetic few broken toys in the Brooklyn GOP.

BTW, nothing keeps me from favoring Justin Brannan any time I would like.....

However, he has not and does not seek my favor. nor have I bestowed it or do I bestow it.....

    ReplyDelete
  45. Bob wouldn't know substance if it bit him in aisle 3.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I just made the mistake of viewing a few moments of the Marko Kepi "rally" and it was so pathetic that it actually brought me to tears. What happened to our grand old party? These are our brave torch-bearers, old, white, bloated and red-faced? What happened to the Party of Eaton and Turner? We were strong, we were virile and we were united.

  49. Kassar says no line for bob. Thats it for bob.

    ReplyDelete
  50. No conservative party endorsement for bob. The state and county chairs not changing on that.

    ReplyDelete
  51. If I were John Q and Liam and who ever else I would be playing very nice in the old sandbox with Professor Capano because he will be the key to the 2021 council election. If Bob doesn't get the nod, he will run on a third party line and spoil it for us. Time to start being nice to Bob!

    ReplyDelete
  52. If craig gets on board with bob next year. It wont matter.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Aisle 3 gets in but any mention about Martys coffee delivery and it gets the ax. Go on gale see how long that works.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Justin may opt out of running next year if bob gets in.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Everyone will step aside if bob gets in.

    ReplyDelete
  56. John Cats or Curtis Sliwa will be the GOP nominee for Mayor. Both are friends with Capano and endorsed him in 2017. If Capano gets in he will have both of their support in a GOP primary. It will be powerful that the GOP top of the ticket is supporting Capano (if he decides to run for council). The conservative party line doesn't matter. Cats didnt want it the last time and Sliwa doesn't seem to be begging for it which puts them on the same page as Capano...

    ReplyDelete
  57. Cats will waste his money on nonsense like water bottles and t-shirts, and the costumed clown will say or do something incredibly stupid.

No Republican in the post-Trump era is getting more than 25% of the vote in this city.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Why so much chatter for bob? He came in 3rd place in a 3 way. If it was a 4 way bob would have come in 4th place.

    ReplyDelete
  59. 12:32 PM is either John Q or Liam They are both terrified of Bob
With Sliwa or John Cats at the top of the ticket in 2021, Bob will be a shoe-in for the local Republican nod. Once Kepi and Nicole loose, Kassar and Golden will be roasted. Bob will simply step forward to take the throne.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Bob came in third in a 4-way.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Nicole will be the defacto GOP boss for staten island and brooklyn. Capano is irrelevant.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Capano was dynamite on WABC radio again today with Rudy Giuliani from 4-5pm

    ReplyDelete
  63. Marko has Marty working the Brooklyn side that Q won big in 2017. And Marko raised the most money.

  64. UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "WHAT'S IN A NAME ???" EDITION

IF YOU ARE FOLLOWING OUR NEW NATION-WITHIN-A NATION-WITHIN-A-STATE-WITHIN-A-CITY-WITHIN-AN-ABANDONED-POLICE PRECINCT, YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT "CHAZ" IS NOW "CHOP"

SO NO LONGER ANY NEED TO ASK IF IT'S NAMED AFTER CHAZ BONO OR CHAZ[Z] PALMINTERI..... OF COURSE, NOW THE QUESTION WILL BE >>> "LAMB" - "PORK" -OR- "VEAL" ??? AND A MORE DERIVATIVE INQUIRY --- IS A NEW SLOGAN FOR THE FAR LEFT/ ANTIFA CROWD IN SEATTLE GOING TO BE >>> "DON'T BUST OUR "CHOP[S]" ?????

There's been lots of coverage of this change from "CHAZ" - "CAPITAL HILL AUTONOMOUS ZONE" to "CHOP" - "CAPITAL HILL OCCUPIED PROTEST"..... So, if you really care about this stuff, it's easy to find plenty of chatter on all sides of the issue(s) raised by the very existence of "CHAZ" or "CHOP" or "CHILL" or "CHUNKY" or "CHA-CHA" OR "CHAMBER POT" OR "CH-CH-CH-CHARLEY.....

A rose by any other name might be just as thorny.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Q got 1,865 votes in his primary
Brannan got 3,670 to win his primary

Capano came in second with 1,318 votes

    ReplyDelete
  66. 1016, are you trying to make some kind of point?

Also, if Capano's number is being compared to the others, he came in no higher than third, not 'second'.

    ReplyDelete
  67. 1. We've all seen Capano when he's dynamite. After he blows up, it's a mess, but usually it's only himself that got hurt. Coincidentally, it tends to happen in Aisle 3.

    2. 10:16 is that guy who leads with his feelings and guts. Don't ever let math hold you back. You go right ahead. Hell, you might as well claim Bob won the council primary. Squint real hard, and he beat Justin too. The dream is real. It's realer with good drugs.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Capano is also on Twitter as only one taking on Prez of Bklyn Rep Club (Joel Acevedo) for being anti-Trump and anti cop...

    ReplyDelete
  69. Capano and Councilman Mark Treyger have engaged in a fierce Twitter battle over policing..thank you Professor, Columnist, Business Executive and future Councilman or Deputy Mayor under John Cats or Curtis Sliwa (both your good friends who were the co chairs of your last campaign) for fighting the fight and being a public voice for common sense Brooklynites and New Yorkers.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Squint all you want but of the current crop Bob is the only one who has what it takes to take on Brannan in 2021. If we run Q or Liam again, I think I will officially switch parties. I've already got one foot out the door due to the Ghorra mess

    ReplyDelete
  71. GALE GALE GALE !!!
    They did it again.
10:57 had aisle 3. Stop this Tom Foolery.

    ReplyDelete
  72. The Capano-Kassar columns remind me of Hamill and Breslin. Bobs wordsmanship is classic common sense. Capano has proven himself to be Brooklyn based journalist.

  75. I think we need to continue the dialogue as to whether Bob came in 4th place or 5th place in 2017.

    ReplyDelete
  76. 50 years from now when the books are written about the 2017 race for city council bob wont even be mentioned.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Bob came in third place, out of four candidates (Lucretia was fourth).

If you squint real hard, Bob came in 7th or 8th. I mean, he worked for a billionaire, had rub before for the same seat, and worked for a billionaire. Who never once held a fundraiser for him. Don't think he endorsed Bob, either.

    ReplyDelete

FIFTY YEARS FROM NOW >>> NOBODY WILL REMEMBER ANYTHING ABOUT ANY REPUBLICANS IN BROOKLYN EVER >>> NOT EVEN A "CANDLES IN THE WIND" SONG ABOUT A PRINCESS OR SOMETHING ELSE FLIMSY AND FLEETING

Seriously ???? I mean "SERIOUSLY !!!!!" "... 50 years from now when the books are written about the 2017 race for city council [in Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Bath Beach]..."

Show of hands !!! Who believes anything like that will happen ?????

    ReplyDelete
  80. Not that many Brooklyn Republicans can read books today, let alone 50 years from now.

    (rim shot)

    ReplyDelete
  81. 2 things happened today.

    1. Marko Kepi was given an award by president Trump

    2. Max Rose co-sponsored legislation to stop the police.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Bobs largess will never be forgotten

    ReplyDelete
  83. Anyone on the fence about supporting Capano next year just check our on twitter Councilman Mark Treyger battling over support for cops. Treyger came at Bob hard today which shows he hit a nerve

    ReplyDelete
  84. Any book that includes anything about Bay Ridge or Dyker Heights will opine about how nyc would be a different place if councilman capano had squeaked through. Think about that gale. No unemployment, no pandemic and no impeachment.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Nicole will understand she cant hang on to her seat in congress without bob.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I don't think there will be many tomes written about the 2017 council race but if tomes are written they will most definitely not mention Liam Ambrosia

    ReplyDelete
  87. Gale you are such a square. CHAZ is so last week. Its CHOP.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Umm. Marko Kepi says he was given an award by Trump.

    ReplyDelete
  97. poll just released show Caldarera with 9%

    ReplyDelete
  98. And what poll is that?

    ReplyDelete
  99. its a poll of registered republicans. thats why 9:40 didnt get polled. and what percentage does 9:40 think Caldarera will get?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Puleeze Caldarera will get 2%

    ReplyDelete
  101. Caldarera is campaigning and will get a vote. Only one person ever got 1%

    ReplyDelete
  102. Can anyone verify if Bob is speaking in Tulsa tonight? I thought I saw him on Fox just now walking into the BOK Center with a security detail

    ReplyDelete
  103. Kepi is a loser. But Tsanousis is no bargain either.

Kepi has a convicted federal felon and a grumpy old man who lost miserably in his corner and Tsanousis has Hassar in his corner which means the Cons Party will own that seat.

Either way the brooklyn GOP loses.

But ted gets to keep his toupee!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Thank you bob for taking on local Democrats Justin Brannan and mary traeger

    ReplyDelete
  105. 8:12 pm is right on point.

I am on FB and Instagram and Twitter and the NY County GOP Chair and Chairs around the State post for holidays and celebrations, but the Brooklyn GOP has no voice. It has a weak, very weak Leader in Ted Gorra, and its "Executive Director" is so old and uselee he probably doesnt even have a computer.

When Eaton weas in charge we had a voice, we were out there reaching out to people.

If we dont get new leadership in the Brooklyn GOP soon, the little that is left, if anything, will too be lost.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Who is Brooklyn GOP's executive director?

    ReplyDelete
  107. The Tannousis train wreck is owned by Ted. Several other candidates from SI reached out to him to ask him if he could talk to SIGOP about backing them in the 64th but he was too afraid of the boys club out there. Back in Brooklyn he’s too scared of Marty to really help Tannousis. Over the weekend he tried saving face by having a secret get out the vote event for Mike except aside from Mike and Ted the only person who showed up was Ted’s errand boy.
