"It's a long, long time from May to [November], but the days grow short...." --- Vito's Joe Biden-like campaign
Since Vito has a mathematical and technical education.....
Here's what seems to have gone on with Vito Bruno and his campaign lately:

Unless you count feckless postings on social media, then it's clearly:

June will soon be bustin' out all over --- but will Vito ?????
Gale your hatred of Vito and misguided view based on misinformation that someone else should have been the candidate is clouding your judgment. Post on social media? Obviously. We’re in quarantine, did you expect to see him at the 86th Street subway station or visiting trade schools and senior centers in between his stump speech? Come on man let it go already.
ReplyDeleteI hope vito is not paying Nick.
ReplyDeleteTime for the pros to take over or for Vito to step aside
Now I get why the rage against Vito. Vito’s not dropping out, The old way of doing things is gone and the two or three losers still fantasizing about Marty appointing them as the candidate are getting a reality check and shit reputations as more of this stuff comes out.
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "I'M A LOVER NOT A HATER --- AND I'M INCLINED TO THINK THAT VITO BRUNO IS A LOVER TOO " EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID AT 11:01 AM"
HOW & WHY WOULD I HATE VITO BRUNO ??? I DON'T KNOW HIM & I CAN'T EVEN RECALL HAVING MET HIM OR SPOKEN TO HIM.....
HIS PICTURES MAKE HIM LOOK LIKE A NICE MAN & HE SAYS LOTS OF NICE THINGS
IF THINGS WERE A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT, I MIGHT EVEN BE SUPPORTING VITO BRUNO, BUT...
Things are the way that they are.
With Vito Bruno there is a THEN..... And there is a NOW..... Between the two there appears to be a massive and unexplained DISCONNECT..... And it isn't all just water under the bridge.....
When somebody comes forward politically and says "I'm your guy"; and somebody says that they think that the guy seems like somebody and something else entirely --- then the guy needs to do some explaining or confessing or serious rebutting.
It looks like Vito Bruno doesn't want to do any of that..... To me or anybody else..... He just wants everybody to go along with "It's water under the bridge"; or his kick the can down the road answer "When the truth comes out; and it will..."
Pay nick. For what?
ReplyDeleteHow much has Vito raised?
ReplyDeletehttps://cfapp.elections.ny.gov/ords/plsql_browser/getfiler2_loaddates?filerid_in=A23507
Marko Kepi has signs all over Bay ridge, has raised big money, is doing events..why cant Vito?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, Liam is running Marko campaign.
Marko Kepi is in a primary fight, Vito is not.
ReplyDeleteYes Liam is the reason Marko is doing well and has nothing to do with the fact that Michael Grimm’s entire team and every prominent Albanian in the metropolitan area helping him out. GTFO.
ReplyDeleteMarko and Liam have more name ID then Bruno.
ReplyDeleteJustin has an oop ed in brooklyn paper crying about needing more guidance. Poor justin complains about mixed messages and until the big man gets guidance hes staying home.
ReplyDeleteSince 2017 it's all been down hill for Kassar. Capano wins again !!
ReplyDeletejustin does nothing till 2021 BRD meeting
ReplyDeleteSources say the Kepi Kampaign got slapped with some hefty fines for illegal signs on Staten Island construction shelters. These fines will more than likely bankrupt the floundering campaign. Good work, Liam! Kepi raised $50K. Tannousis raised $250K. How many times does Liam have to loose before people stop hiring him? $50K in fines for Kepi.
ReplyDeleteSigns don't vote. Signs don't mean votes. Signs don't make a campaign.
ReplyDeleteI love how those with no community presence, no signs always say signs dont vote as an excuse..
ReplyDeleteSigns don't show a community presence.
ReplyDeleteI love how those with no ground operation say signs dont show a community presence.
ReplyDeleteIf you think that signs are even a major part of a ground operation then you never saw a real ground operation --- the Bay Ridge Dems have a real ground operation. A good ground operation takes over the streets during a campaign. The Republicans in Brooklyn haven't controlled the streets anywhere in Brooklyn since Reagan stopped being the President.
ReplyDeleteThe last decent ground operation for a Republican candidate in Bay Ridge was more than ten years ago and that Republican carried Bay Ridge Dyker Heights and Bath Beach by a huge margin; and signs were handled by one person that kept the avenues of Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights covered with signs for two months. Also ten years ago there were pockets of a good ground operation in Brooklyn during some special election races like the one for Bob Turner.
Anyone who says they know about ground games and says signs are covered by one person is making it up as he goes along. The Brooklyn GOP ceased to exist when Craig Eaton walked away and Marty and Jerry decided to shut down the party and sell everyone else out so the Dems would let their fiefdom survive. It’s over there is nothing left.
ReplyDelete954, a 'good ground operation' is only one part of a good campaign. First comes fund raising and everything else that is needed will flow from that if it's successful. The rest of the campaign needs to be coordinated and based upon a plan. That plan needs to be made with an eye on an accurate model of the electorate in the district.
ReplyDeleteFlabby descriptions of an electorate being middle class or socially conservative or some other broad generalizations are the beginnings of a bad campaign.
So far, each and every campaign for any Republican running in any part of Brooklyn looks like a bad campaign, including those candidates running mostly in Staten Island.
RE: 10:43 AM's comment. Some of it was made up as they went along back in the time when people knew what they needed to do in a campaign. One person only wanted to do signs, because he had a bad experience giving out lit, so he was the sign person and he did it well. Other groups did some signage as well outside the areas that the one person had covered very well already and continued to keep postered until election day.
ReplyDeleteAlso just forget about what signs and posters might mean in the big picture, because it ain't very much. In 2018, Marty Golden had plenty of signs and posters around, and he didn't carry a single ED in Bay Ridge and very few in Dyker Heights. That included his own ED near Shore Road in the low 80s (all large private homes).
NYC does not issue fines for signs on private property like a construction sight.
ReplyDelete12:01 is obviously old fat and striving to collect disability.
News flash: I'm a Republican and even I know we are done in Bay Ridge. It's over. Let's focus on Staten Island. It's our only hope.
ReplyDelete11:08 2018 Marty Golden campaign was a disaster not much of a campaign to speak of. Don’t blame the signs that Marty let Gerry run it into the ground.
ReplyDeleteFor 21 years Marty won every primary and election. I've lost count of how many Marty won. But finally after decades of wins he lost in a close contest.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Marty will come back. That is the only hope for the GOP.
If Marty wanted to run, he'd have been a better candidate than Vito. However, Marty didn't want to run for reasons of his own. One of those reasons is that by every measure the Brooklyn GOP is weaker in 2020 than it was in 2018.
ReplyDeleteI hear Nick Chamberas set up a soap box at the 86th street subway to sing the praises of Vito Bruno but noone was there..poor kid..well at least pros are running Nicole's campaign
ReplyDeleteNick Chamberas may be our only hope
ReplyDeleteIt pains me to say it but
I hear Nick Chamberas is certainly envied by some.
ReplyDeleteI hear Nick Chamberas is loving the attention from the drama queens on the blog.
ReplyDeletehey 6:18 the world will change you get stimulus check
ReplyDeleteWhen will Vito be seen???
ReplyDeleteNick is the biggest thing since capano.
ReplyDeleteVito is hiding under Ted's wig.
ReplyDeleteCapano who???
ReplyDeleteLike Eaton he has been ostracised
If that's true, nobody has told Nicole or Vito.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite an oversight by Jerry K and his vassals inside the Brooklyn GOP; but since the Brooklyn GOP has been sanitized, sanforized and vacuum-packed in shrink-wrap, it's really much healthier to be outside the Brooklyn GOP completely.
BTW, if Vito is hiding under Ted's wig, it might explain why it doesn't fit right.
Oh the irony, fake news aside truth is Nicole is using Bob for her campaign and not only using Bob but begging for Craig to help her and Gerrie is probably okay with that since they are in a desperate situation he promised her so much and has delivered next to nothing but invoices for his favored consultants.
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "CONNECT THE DOTS IN WHAT WE SEE IN DEEP SPACE... " EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 2:28 PM" & MANY OTHERS THAT WENT BEFORE
YOU THROW AROUND WORDS LIKE "IRONY" AND "FAKE NEWS" AND COME BACK WITH SOMETHING SOMEWHERE BETWEEN "FAKE NEWS" -- "ALMOST NEWS" -- OR "ONE PERSON'S VERSION OF NEWS"
IT'S ALRIGHT THOUGH, BECAUSE COMING OUT OF ALL OF THAT ARE IMAGES THAT MIGHT NOT REALLY BE THERE BUT STILL BE USEFUL FOR LOTS OF THINGS
It's not unlike looking at a starry night. If you are an amateur astronomer you might see the constellations and even be able to name most of them --- and maybe recount how ancient mariners navigated by using many of those celestial "landmarks." If you were an astrologer you might do individual life charts based on the very same stars. If you were a contemporary astrophysicist, you would describe that celestial panoply in many different ways, explaining things about both the past and the future. And if you were Vincent Van Gogh you would convolute some of what you saw to make it express what was deep inside yourself.
So, all the nonsense that so many of the comment makers dump onto this blogsite, some of it completely fake news, other near news, and still other somewhat uninformed opinion all appear like a confused bunch of shiny dots in a summer sky. Just like stars they have different looks and different significance.
Simply connecting the dots in various ways shows one set of things. Analyzing individual dots or collections of dots shows something else entirely. And convoluting all of the dots into a swirl yields something else entirely.
But heed this:
".... Men at some time are masters of their fates;
The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars,
But in ourselves, that we are underlings...."
Just connect the dots, or analyze the dots, or convolute the dots..... And then be a master of your own fate.....
Galewyn you really might want to get a few more sources besides Justin, Bob, and Liam. Things would make a lot more sense to you. Fact Bob involved with Nicole campaign, fact Nicole begging for Craig’s help because she’s not raising the money she should just look at the filings and compare to similar candidates. Fact both Bob and Craig were banished from Nicole world for 2017 Mayoral campaign.
ReplyDeleteThe only question is does Nicole win by single or double digits
ReplyDeleteGood question 6:55 Joe Caldarera is coming on strong in the primary and is going to do better than people thought. Nicole will probably beat him by single digits. As for the general, she’s done everybody know she’s not beating Max.
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "SOUNDING MORE LIKE AN 'UNDERLING' THAN STAR GAZER VINCENT VAN GOGH" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 4:42 PM" AND/OR "... AT 6:55 PM"
LOOKY-LOOKY-LOOKY !!! EVEN PEOPLE WHO SAY THEY ARE NICOLE'S PEOPLE ARE ALREADY LOOKING BACK AT 2017 AS THE GOOD OLD DAYS..... AND THEN THEY'RE SAYING PURE NONSENSE ABOUT HER PERFORMANCE AND PROSPECTS IN 2020
My sources are working out just fine thank you very much.....
Here's a real fact, Republicans aren't united behind Nicole for Congress.
And why would they be ???
Nicole won the primary in 2017.
ReplyDeleteJoe Caldalera gets beat 4 to 1
ReplyDeleteCaladare will give us a preview of what Nicole will do to Rose.
ReplyDeleteSources at Staten Island Borough Hall say they recently came up with the perfect way to throw a major wrench into Nicole's operation. STAY TUNED.
ReplyDeleteJoe Caldarera may break the Capano record for worlds biggest loser.
ReplyDeleteThis afternoon while I was outside my home with my young children when I saw Joe Caldarera campaigning on my street in Dyker Heights. He was going up to the doors of the elderly and handing out flyers not wearing mask or gloves. This is truly appalling and my 5yr old asked why a grownup was going up to people with a mask.
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "YEAH, YEAH, YEAH --- GIVE IT A REST !!!" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 10:51 AM"
REALLY ? --- I MEAN --- REALLY !!!
GET A LIFE..... ACCORDING TO THE NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL OF MEDICINE, THE GENERAL USE OF FACE MASKS ARE OF MINIMAL IMPORTANCE IN CONTROLLING THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS COVID-19
To be specific here's exactly what they said: "We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection. Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes). The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal. In many cases, the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic...." (See "Universal Masking in Hospitals in the Covid-19 Era" by Michael Klompas, M.D., M.P.H., Charles A. Morris, M.D., M.P.H., Julia Sinclair, M.B.A., Madelyn Pearson, D.N.P., R.N., and Erica S. Shenoy, M.D., Ph.D., 5/21/2020, The New England Journal of Medicine/ Perspective [https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMp2006372]).
Almost as a paean to the "Nervous Nellies" of group-think and one-size-fits-all solutions for the complex problem of public transmission of the disease, the article ended with this:
".... There may be additional benefits to broad masking policies that extend beyond their technical contribution to reducing pathogen transmission. Masks are visible reminders of an otherwise invisible yet widely prevalent pathogen and may remind people of the importance of social distancing and other infection-control measures.... It is also clear that masks serve symbolic roles. Masks are not only tools, they are also talismans that may help increase health care workers’ perceived sense of safety, well-being, and trust in their hospitals. Although such reactions may not be strictly logical, we are all subject to fear and anxiety, especially during times of crisis. One might argue that fear and anxiety are better countered with data and education than with a marginally beneficial mask, particularly in light of the worldwide mask shortage, but it is difficult to get clinicians to hear this message in the heat of the current crisis. Expanded masking protocols’ greatest contribution may be to reduce the transmission of anxiety, over and above whatever role they may play in reducing transmission of Covid-19. The potential value of universal masking in giving health care workers the confidence to absorb and implement the more foundational infection-prevention practices described above may be its greatest contribution."
So you see, there might be other so-called more effective methodologies that some people might want to implement in the future.
40% of the COVID deaths in NY were from Nursing Homes. 8 times higher than nursing home deaths in Florida. Thats all because of the executive orders by Governor Cuomo who ordered the nursing homes lock the old people in to die. His father Mario locked people up in prisons. Outside of that the Cuomos have been just fine.
ReplyDelete4:17 sounds like a real good time Charlie.
ReplyDeleteNicole is the only one who can beat cuomo in 2022
ReplyDeleteWell Nick Chambers short career in politics will be over after this disastrous Vito bruno campaign..no money, no office, no volunteers, no operations, no clue...nicole was wise to dump Nick and bring in pros.

YOUR FOCUS ON NICK CHAMBERAS [cf. "CHAMBERS"] IS TRULY REMARKABLE..... OBVIOUSLY, HE IS A CENTRAL CONCERN TO MANY IN THE BROOKLYN GOP..... YOUR CONTRIBUTION IS KEENLY APPRECIATED.....
NOT !!!!!
The biggest problem for bay ridge residents apparently is when someone moves the wooden barriers on colonial rd to get their car out, John Quaglione takes a pic of it instead of moving the barrier back like any concerned able bodied young man would do
