Liam ! Liam !! Liam !!! Whatever are you going on about now ?????

If Liam McCabe were a true conservative, he'd leave property owners alone,  and stop trying to "Nanny" them to death.....

If those new to the area need to make their one- and two-family homes into rooming-house-density housing structures, then they should be allowed to do it  ---  whatever the structure will bear, whatever the traffic demands

Also,  there was another  >>> MERE MENTION <<<  that Liam is a "challenger" to Andrew Gounardes in the article about "...Illegal Home Conversions..." that appeared in the Kings County Politics blog earlier today

Did Liam make his big announcement and did I miss it ???   I think it's just another Liam McCabe "Groundhog Day" event,  with a feckless stunt about housing thrown in.....

This is the strangest roll out of a candidacy that I have ever seen (See "McCabe Makes Illegal Home Conversions Issue in Gounardes Challenge"  by Amanda Salazar,  2/18/2020,  Kings County Politics/ Housing   [https://www.kingscountypolitics.com/mccabe-makes-illegal-home-conversions-issue-in-gounardes-challenge/]).

This is also a very badly done puff piece  ---  it makes Liam look like an old time liberal Democrat busybody, and at the same time, a scene stealing young actor in a self-produced play in which he is the star.....

Does anybody, anywhere believe that Liam gives three flying figs about illegal house conversions ???

  1. This is not the announcement. That event is now scheduled for February 25th.

  2. Oh, I need to mark Liam's announcement event down on my calendar. Let's refer to it as 'Groundhog Day XXIII'.

    ReplyDelete
  3. At Liam's announcement I hear there will be specially designed piss resistant carpets in case Liam needs to relieve himself during his remarks..

  4. Glad to know Liam McCabe is going to run against Diane Savino, since it's her district he's showing up in

  5. I cant understand Kassar. Bob Capano is a scholar of political science, author, columnist and a proven vote getter.

    ReplyDelete
  6. What is Kassar supposed to do? Besides, nobody is taking Kassar seriously anymore.

Liam is threatening to blow up the whole game in Brooklyn for Nicole and everybody else if he doesn't get what he wants. It's easier for Kassar to give in to Liam than have Liam run on a separate slate with Kepi and Caldarera.

  7. Liam is pandering to a bunch of pissy and whiny It-lows in Bath Beach, who are too stupid and obstinate to sell out and leave now that the neighborhood up there isn't theirs anymore.

What next torchlight parades against the 'Yellow Peril'? It's years too late for anything like that in Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bath Beach and Graves End. Tell the red sauce dead-enders to take the money and run, and stop complaining.

  8. Gerry wants Liam to run because he doesn't want a serious race for Senate because he thinks it will take away resources from his precious Nicole who he needs to win or else he's in big trouble. Liam is all bluster. He backed Marko at the executive committee meeting and only one other person voted for him. Nobody from his own club even went with Liam. The best thing that could happen to Joe Cal and Marko is if Liam endorses Nicole and Tannoses. But even Chairman Ghorra won't give up his seat just to please Gerry, in the end Liam won't be the nominee.Stay tuned.

  9. Most politicians campaign by introducing themselfs, shaking your hand and asking for your vote. Nicole says hello shakes your hand, and asks you to write her campaign a check. This is overkill, I know money is important to every campaign but she is getting carried away.

  10. What about the wagons. I see wagons on 5th ave.

  11. red sauce dead enders !!

    Thats rich.

  12. I dont know why Fox news is running non stop coverage about that former mayor of South Bend Blagovevich

    ReplyDelete
  13. Here's a battle cry that Liam supporters could be really comfortable with: "Circle the wagons ! Pass out the guns. We are bein' overrun by a bunch o' dirty no good redskins. Save the last bullet for yourself, don't let 'em take anybody alive, especially the women."

Liam is a lot closer to the Duke's character, Ethan, than to the one played by Jeffrey Hunter. However, unlike John Wayne's sweeping little "Natasha" off her feet in the big feel good climax, I'm sure that in similar circumstances, Liam would have shot his long-imprisoned niece, because Scar had made her his own.

Given that background, does anybody believe Liam when he says, “I have tons of people pushing me to do this (run for the State Senate), contacting me in the streets. Slipping me a message on Facebook saying you need to run. So I have support from every angle in the community and it’s flattering.... The final decision will be with me and my family.” In the Searchers," neither the Duke nor Jeffrey Hunter was ever asked to say anything as foolish as that.

In fact, I'd believe that Liam would shoot Natalie Wood in the face or hit her in the head with an oar, before I'd believe any of that.

BTW, Christopher Walken has refused to say whether Liam was on the boat drinking that night.

  14. 555, you are truly a maroon.

Peter Paul Mary Buttigieg is the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana; whereas Rod Blagojevich is the former governor of Illinois.

More important, since Trump pardoned a Navy Seal, why didn't Trump pardon someone revered among Navy Seals, Rudy Boesch, from his death sentence by Alzheimer's --- Boesch died from that last November, but he also spent a good chunk of his life in Chicago, just like Blago did. However, neither Blagojevich or Buttigieg, nor Navy Seal Edward Gallagher were on two seasons of "Survivor" like Rudy Boesch was.

  15. If he wins Liam will demand not only a pardon for hitting his kid but reparations for when he smoked his stash

  16. A homeowner went over to Liam on Monday and told him off for protesting outside her residential house, which wasn’t even an illegal conversion. Liam’s press stunts not only don’t go anywhere, they make everyone around them hate him. The woman was pissed off as hell. It was hilarious to see.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ted Gorra told Liam he would support him for State Senate if Liam could simply stay sober for 49 hours.

Well...... let's just say Ted Gorra will not be supporting Liam for State Senate.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Christopher Walken seems like one of those guys spaced on drugs. But hes been like that for over half a century.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Does anyone else get the feeling that if one other somewhat credible candidate stood up no one would be discussing Liam for this..even if he didn't back down one primary mailer saying how Liam works for de Blasio, lives with his mother in law, sprinkle in some headlines for his arrests, and firings and its over... Vito Bruno? Bob Capano? John Q? Please step up.

    ReplyDelete
  20. 11:59 is one of those nasty people who would rather see Andrew Gounardes and Justin Brannan ruin our neighborhoods out of spite for not being as popular as Liam. Many people struggle with all sorts of addictions and it’s just disgusting that you think it’s funny.

    ReplyDelete
  21. 831, wake up and smell the coffee, and stop getting all your news from Fox, the NY Post and Bob Capano's column. More important, stop being so tuned in to Liam McCabe's talking points.

The reality is that you don't like the look of our local neighborhoods anymore; and you are lashing out at Justin and Andrew as if it's their fault.

So far there is no credible data reflecting any "spike in crime" that is attributable to "bail reform" or any other "criminal justice reform."

I don't know who you mean when you say "those nasty people who would rather see Andrew Gounardes and Justin Brannan ruin our neighborhoods out of spite for not being as popular as Liam". but if you are referring to Liam McCabe, then you are completely deranged and out of touch with those neighborhoods that you call "ours."

Your "Liam" is not as popular a guy as you might think, he's not even as popular as Q.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Liam popular? Then why did Q kill him in the primary?

    ReplyDelete
  23. 10:05 You're a buffoon. I love our neighborhoods but don't want them crime ridden and filthy with trains and buses that hardly show up. I'd rather support Liam or support people favored by Liam than have my core supporters calling the police a "slave patrol". Oh wait I think Bill de Blasio is calling you to shine his shoes again. Carry on.

    ReplyDelete
  24. As usual, the so called "spike in crime" is almost 100% police generated. It's either by a change in calculating and evaluating the data, or by cops doing an illegal job action and letting it all happen on their watch. For example, cops are doing next to no low end summonses any more.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Everyone knows Liam thinks he could have beat Brannan in the General and he won't let that go but Liam could barely slap together 500 votes in the Primary against Quaglione so I'm not sure why he thinks that at all

    ReplyDelete
  26. Just saw Liam leaving Kelly's Tavern at noon????

    ReplyDelete
  27. In this neighborhood, you're either with Team Red Sauce or Team Red China, and I am voting for McCabe because he does a mean Joe Pesci impression

    ReplyDelete
  28. Whoever the 'tard who keeps talking about Liam as De Blasio's employee has clearly never worked on a political campaign. Another armchair/keyboard activist.

All Liam need do is reproduce a photo of some cops saying, "Like Liam, we work for the City of New York. But none of us -- including Liam -- work for De Blasio."

    ReplyDelete
  29. The only problem is that lately, the whole flat footed crowd hasn't been working at all.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Liam and his girlfriend both work for the Warren Wilhelm Jr. Admisintration
    That is a fact

    ReplyDelete
  31. 148
Maybe but what about Liam living with his mother in law, being arrested for assault of a minor, being suspended from his job, backing Grimm against Donovan, etc.

Also as far as 831 comments about addiction and laying off Liam about..its one thing to say your an alcoholic and get help but to say and do it 4,5,6 times seems more about doing it for political expediency, never mind the railroad tracks story about his dad that we continuously hear about..people see right through the charade ..more and more GOP leaders see through it and that's why he will not be a Senate candidate.

  32. RESPONSE: THE "SO MUCH CERTAINTY, SO LITTLE TIME TO THINK" EDITION

TO: EVERYBODY THAT HAS WEIGHED IN ON LIAM LATELY --- FOR OR AGAINST..... {EXCEPT FOR ME, OF COURSE, I HAVE A PLENARY INDULGENCE ON THIS BLOG)

EVERYBODY IS SO SURE ABOUT THIS, THAT OR THE OTHER --- OR EVEN THE THIS AND THAT OF IT

LIam is in the arena and trying to show everybody that he can be a contender. THAT IS COMMENDABLE.....

There is a vast peanut gallery of naysayers throwing brickbats at Liam while he struggles to gain his footing. THAT IS UNDERSTANDABLE.....

Pretty soon, we'll all get to see who wins out --- short run --- and then --- long run.....

    ReplyDelete
  33. Liam will not be the candidate..the GOP wants a fighting chance to win

    ReplyDelete
  34. Liam often struggles to gain his footing

    ReplyDelete
  35. According to 3:39's logic, the two cops who are Presidents of the Police and Sergeants Benevolent Associations are also De Blasio employees. And a day doesn't go by when both don't shout about Lurch's chicanery from the rooftops. Stop trying to claim that being a city worker makes you a De Blasio guy. AN ACCUSATION LIKE THAT WOULD GET AN OPPONENT LAUGHED AT BY VOTERS.

    ReplyDelete
  36. As said above, the Brooklyn GOP officially went with Vito Bruno. They were tired of Liams antics and "demons"

Kudos on a smart decision. Of course Liam will say he decided not to run when everyone and their mother knows he wanted to.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Why the heck did they select Vito Bruno over Liam?????????

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sometimes, the only choices that one has are bad ones. Maybe, Vito Bruno was the only stop-Liam candidate that made himself available to run at this time.

OMG, I hope that Liam doesn't go into one of his patented swoons and declines over this.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Brooklyn GOP also went with Cathy Bernstein for NY10. Another score for Manhattan GOP and another massive loss for the Manhattan Young Republicans, the alt-right, and the Met Club who endorsed Dylan Stevenson for NY10 tonight!!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. No doubt Liam will be at the Lief all weekend now.

    ReplyDelete
  41. The patented swoon is in effect.

You should have known it was Barzini all along.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Nobody knows or cares who Cathy or Dylan from Manhattan is. That’s a Manhattan seat anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Last night was the day of decision in the court of Brooklyn GOP opinion for Liam and he failed. People could not get over his demons, record, working for de Blasio, etc. They knew it was doomed for failure in ANY race so while Liam will try and spin it as he is open for a race against Brannan the same thing that happened yesterday will happen again. Liam should focus on getting a better job that a low level political hack union spot with de Blasio so he can move out of his mother in laws place.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Liam was doing well. This will be a major set back on his sobriety. Ted Ghorra has blood on his hands!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Well at least The Lief and Kelly's Tavern will see an economic boom this weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  46. This was the last chance to dance for Liam because nobody's beating Brannan in 2021. That council district seat is lost to the left. Senate 22 is our only hope and we just blew it with Bruno.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Brannan will be easier to beat than Gounardes. People regardless of their political loyalty just don’t like having the dumbest member of the City Council come from their district.

    ReplyDelete

    Keep telling yourself that Liam.
Besides when u get passed over again you will say 2034 will be my year!

    ReplyDelete
  49. "I wanted to thank everyone that encouraged me to consider running for the 43rd Council Seat against Justin Brannan. However after a serious conversation with my family and friends I have decided to sit this one out. Running for office is a very difficult task and I would only do it if I could give 110%."
