One of the most important and influential members of the Brooklyn GOP --- Bob Capano --- has issued a public statement of support for the GOP nominee to take on State Senator Andy Gounardes
I remain skeptical..... I have made my reasons quite clear in several past postings on this blog as to why I think that Vito Bruno is far from an ideal GOP/ Conservative Party candidate --- but I ain't got no dog in the fight, so mum's the word.....
According to Bob Capano, "Vito Bruno is an outstanding choice and a fresh, new voice that is needed to bring common sense back to Albany. Local residents are fed up with the decline on their streets including more crime thanks to bail reform passed by Democrats, including Andrew Gounardes [, who] has failed to realize that our community is not down with the radical far-left agenda that thinks plastic bags are more dangerous than career criminals...."
Bob Capano is a Bay Ridge resident, who is helping to lead a new citywide Urban Reform GOP Coalition along with Guardian Angels founder and radio talk show host Curtis Sliwa.
Bob Capano is also well known for his long-time service in and for the Brooklyn GOP. In addition to having been a 2017 GOP City Council candidate and running against Justin Brannan in the 2017 general election, Bob worked for former >>> Brooklyn <<< Republican Members of Congress Bob Turner and Vito Fossella.
At this time, I think that the less I might say about Vito Bruno would be better for everybody involved.
How informative. We know who Bob is and has he ever been right about anything?
ReplyDeleteHow much ecstacy is Vito Bruno dealing out these days?
ReplyDeleteIs this the guy from the supermarket?
ReplyDeleteI am loving the Facebook comments by hack Nancy Rodent about how winnable this seat is.
ReplyDeleteThis lady makes Capano sound smart.
Liam must be angry. There is no way he planned for this. Liam got dissed by the Party once again! I heard Ted deferred to Quaglione and when Quaglione passed, Liam assumed he would be up next but they skipped Liam and gave the nod to Vito Bruno! There is no way Vito Bruno can beat Andrew. They should have let Liam run! Maybe Liam will OTB and run anyway! He should! Vito is a scrub!!!
ReplyDeleteBob is such a silly rabbit.
ReplyDeleteIf Bob says Vito than Vito it is.
ReplyDeleteI am told that Liam has secured the position of Chief Lawn Sign and Poster Placement Director on the Bruno campaign.
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "OTB NONSENSE" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 4:11 PM"
WHAT ARE YOU COMMENTING ABOUT ??? --- LIAM DOESN'T NEED TO OTB THE GOP LINE --- HE CAN PETITION FOR IT JUST LIKE VITO BRUNO HAS TO PETITION FOR IT
Are Liam's Conservative Party friends on board for the Vito B. candidacy ??? If they are then Liam could opportunity that line --- or the Conservatives could endorse Liam McCabe from the get go --- and see if the Brooklyn GOP backs down on "it's all about bi-sexuality" club-meister Vito B's being their state senate candidate.
These are pearls here..... I hope that I am not casting them before swine.....
Well ??? Do I hear an "Amen !!!" --- OR --- Do I hear an "Oink !!!" from the peanut gallery.
Let's cut the crap. Except for a couple of online degenerate trolls and his consulting firm, no one was backing Liam. Vito Bruno didn't want to do it, he thought Q would be a strong candidate. Vito had to be convinced to run because Andrew is vulnerable and people couldn't stand Liam's obnoxious attitude now that he's Gerry's boy again. In last week's rant fest against Ted I'm surprised he didn't tell Ted to go shine his shoes because that's about all he left out. At first Ted thought he might have to play hardball with the conservatives but they were as supportive as everyone else. Even Gerry couldn't save him after the backlash.
ReplyDelete4:11 more fake news. Liam assumed nothing. He was campaigning for this since last year. Thought he had it locked up because support from Jerry. Only problem is both the Brooklyn Republicans and the Brooklyn Conservatives wanted to find someone anyone besides Liam. Jerry ever the pragmatic deal maker wasn't going to put himself out there against Ted, Frances Vella and their committees.
ReplyDeleteIf Vito had a chance at conservative line Bob just killed that.
ReplyDeleteSilly people as if Vito hasn’t already secured the conservative line.
ReplyDeletenice try bob
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "SHAKESPEAREAN VERSION" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO EVERYBODY THAT THINKS ANY OF THIS MATTERS ONE BIT --- LIAM OR VITO --- VITO OR LIAM
BILL MURRAY, LONG BEFORE HE MADE "GROUNDHOG DAY" --- SAID IT BEST IN "MEATBALLS" >>> "IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER...."
BUT, MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, SHAKESPEARE SAID IT A LITTLE BETTER A BIT FURTHER BACK.....
[Inside Dunsinane Castle] ".... Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing...."
King Lear, Act V, Scene 5
Vito will have the conservative line. So for all of Liams "popularity " the bklyn rep and con parties literally actively joined together to block him from a seat he was running for since last year.
ReplyDeleteSo Liam's effort to save face is saying on social media that he could not give race 110% ..now if that is because he will be getting a second job from his $30,000 per year one as a low level union employee working for de Blasio at TLC so he could move out of his mother in law's house I could actually respect that, but we all know that is not true...he was planning on running for this seat since Andrew was elected if Marty Golden was not going for a re match. The local bklyn and conservatives decided enough is enough with Liam's antics and issues, full stop.
ReplyDeleteLiam should once again use this rebuff as an opportunity to get his house in order, well not literally of course since he doesn't have his own, but you know what I mean
ReplyDeleteis John Q moving on to the Boy Scouts?
ReplyDeleteBottom line, Liam with his limited skills and personal demons just doesn't seem to be cut out for politics, in any way, shape or form.
ReplyDeleteLiam is making money this year. Are you?
ReplyDeleteHow satisfying it must be for John Quaglione to post on his Facebook page Liam Ambrose McCabe's statement and photo jointly endorsing Vito Bruno along with JQ for the spot that Liam wanted so badly.
ReplyDeleteJohn Q wins over Liam again..everyone knows how close Q and Bruno are..
ReplyDeleteIt is obvious that if Liam wants to spin this as he is now owed the Council race in 2021 he is nuts. During the Exec committee meeting it was pretty clear that Ghorra and the others will not be supporting Liam for anything. The 2021 council nomination is Quaglione's for the asking.
ReplyDeleteLiam needed that shot.
ReplyDeleteI hate the guy but Capano always comes back from the dead..I saw him in a photo last week meeting with the state Republican Chair Nick Langworthy and Manhattan Chair Andrea Catsimatidis with Curtis Sliwa about their new Urban Reform GOP Club
ReplyDeleteVito will have the Republican line. Vito will have the Conservative line. But most importantly, he will have a toot of a white line.
ReplyDeleteSay what you will but I give Vito Bruno credit. He is a Company Man. The guy makes serious cash selling opioids at the niteclubs and will take a serious financial hit to run this race for the good of The Party. The only person happy about this outcome is John Q because it wasn't Liam. All of the other interns at DeSales are allready walking on eggshells around the guy as it is.If the Party had chosen Liam, it would have sent thg allready fragile John Q over the edge boiling point. May the best man Loose.
ReplyDeleteDissed Liam once again. This will cause a major setback on Liam’s sobriety but it will equal an economic boon for the Salty Dog Bar & Grill.
ReplyDeleteLiam therefore is a job creator! A great thing to run on against Brannan in 2021
Don't worry about it, it's all covered.
ReplyDeleteLiam will soon be having an announcement at The Leif
ReplyDeleteNo one ever lied about Marty. There simply was no need to. He did it all to himself.
ReplyDelete905, don't make us laugh, or as the social media jargon-istas like to say, 'lol'.
ReplyDeleteVito Bruno's reputation is so 'stellar' that he is slander- and libel-proof. He's been a promoter his whole adult life, especially when it came to promoting the seven deadly sins.
I wonder why he didn't open joints called the 'Club Drug', the 'Club Drag' or 'Shoot-m-Ups'; that would have caught the vibe and tenor of his kind of club scene in the day.
I'm sure that there are all kinds transcripts around that would be very interesting reading to any 'team of lawyers who will have a field day with [a] wealthy dork[]' named Vito Bruno.
btw, the mailers are in the works already.
But who is going to pay for the mailers?
ReplyDeleteGounardes has no need to: he is an incumbent with an unknown opponent.
No Republican is going to primary Vito: the nomination is basically worthless this cycle.
This "Let's go in to the backyard and put on a show" approach to campaigns has never gotten anyone elected. Ask the two gents who attempted it and have since moved to other counties.
11:50 don’t make “us” laugh that you dorks have any say in Andrew’s mailings. Keep up the defamation and ideas about mailings will be the least of your concerns.
ReplyDeleteCocaine is illegal? Since when?
ReplyDeleteVB -- Night Club Impresario
I can't find any details about Vito's family. Is he married? Does he have children?
ReplyDeleteDo >>> YOU <<< think that something like the following is something that >>> YOU <<< might call 'defamation'?
ReplyDeleteSomebody named Vito used to like 'Boys to Men', but now he seems to like 'Proud Boys' much more.
What a metamorphosis! Who knows, maybe he's even joined up with the 'Proud Boys' in order to get some Alt-right cred!
Don't you agree, it's a very subtle shift that has taken this Vito guy years to complete.
Now, let's all lol together -- AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
When I think of good family values, I think of a guy who runs a place named Club Inferno, where the security is run by the Latin Kings and sodomites and crossdressers are the clientele.
ReplyDeleteJust like when I think of a worthy successor to Guy Molinari, I think of an unmarried hag who plays softball.
No children but a french poodle.
ReplyDeleteSenator Bruno !!!
ReplyDeleteAnother disappointing fundraiser for Nicole yesterday. Around 20 (of the same) people showed up to Cebu to hear her take credit for things she had nothing to do with. Her total lack of constituents services on both sides of the bridge is gonna get Rose a lot of crossover voters.
ReplyDeleteWhat does 7:32 have against Susan Molinari?
ReplyDeleteI think the reference by 732 was to Nicole not Susan.
ReplyDeleteHow can Senator Bruno sue for defamation when he openly bragged about being Balushi's pill pusher?
ReplyDelete11:07 is the dork from Radio Fee Bar Ridge. Obviously fact that Vito is running has caused some concern. Perhaps some more exercise and clean air will help him function better. All that type spent in his basement on his computer seems to be getting to him.
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "SO FAR FROM HEAVEN --- AND SO FAR FROM THE STATE SENATE TOO" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 11:07 AM"
VITO BRUNO AIN'T NO "SENATOR" --- NOT NOW & PROBABLY NOT EVER.....
WAS HE REALLY "BRAGGING" OR JUST TELLING --- BESIDES, MAYBE IT'S SOME OTHER "AM/PM" GUY NAMED VITO BRUNO
It's all in black and white in "Wired: The Short Life & Fast Times of John Belushi" by Bob Woodward (I'm sure if BW could take down President Nixon, he can take Vito Bruno down a few pegs just in passing in a book about John Belushi).
Our latest Republican-Conservative nominee for the state senate in Brooklyn's 22nd SD was once all about the "Sex, Drugs and Rock'n'Roll" --- weird sex, lots of drugs and very edgy Rock'n'Roll.
But then again, maybe it was a different club scene guy named Vito Bruno.....
What happens when Max Rose decides to use all of this against Nicole ???
