Too many details, just too many details

What is the new NYS Conservative Party Chairman up to  ???

I think that Stephen Witt missed his chance at a really big scoop with his KCP article  ---  "Golden Weighs Options For Rubber Match With Gounardes"......

The article, which strongly quoted from Jerry Kassar's remarks made during an interview with KCP,  focused on two or three races in districts that include big stretches of  Bay Ridge,  Dyker Heights, lower Bensonhurst and other areas,  are quite specific about the goings on with Marty Golden and his former district,  and much less so about the other races

The real scoop is  that Kassar had so much to say about Marty Golden and the NYS Senate going forward  ---  especially the parts where Kassar said:  1) Marty Golden might NOT be the GOP-Conservative Party candidate in 2020;  2) Marty Golden doubts that the Republicans will be able to regain control of the NYS Senate after the 2020 elections;  and  3)  that Marty Golden would  have to give up a very big job with the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens in order to run

Here is everything that Kassar had to say about next year's state senate contest in the Southwest Brooklyn district now represented in the NYS Senate by Democrat Andrew Gounardes:

“....  'Marty has not made a decision yet. We’ve been talking to him, and he’s not sure yet, as he has a very good job with the Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens,' said Kassar, who served at Golden’s chief of staff when he was in the senate....  Kassar said besides having a good job, Golden does have concerns about Republicans taking back the senate. 'The Senate [minority Republicans] will make gains next year but I suspect it will be difficult [for them] to take back the majority,'  said Kassar....  Kassar said if Golden decides against running, the Conservative Party/GOP has every intention of running someone else, and there are several people asking around and showing interest if Golden decides against running....  'There are certain community activists from Bay Ridge to Gerretsen Beach to Marine Park that feel for one reason or another that Andrew [Gounardes] is not doing a good job,” said Kassar. “I feel strongly his [Gounardes] voting record is not consistent with the majority of the people in the district. Andrew’s progressiveness wants to be fair handed, but it’s fair handed towards progressives.'...”
(See  ""Golden Weighs Options For Rubber Match With Gounardes" by Stephen Witt,  8/28/19,  King County Politics Blog  [https://www.kingscountypolitics.com/golden-weighs-options-for-rubber-match-with-gounardes/]).

It's obvious that Jerry Kassar is forcing somebody's hand;  and he is trying to make something happen.  However,  whose hand is Kassar trying to force;  and what is Kassar trying to make happen exactly ???

I'm pretty sure that what Kassar is trying do with his interview by Steve Witt has little if anything to do with Ted Ghorra or any part of  the Brooklyn GOP.

  1. Marty is not running that is what former top aides and Marty’s driver have been telling everyone. Gerry needs to let people think Marty is running to keep out any other viable candidates long enough to force Ted to back one of his cronies. He should really stick to helping Malliotakis lose to Max Rose and stay out of the other local races.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Ghorra and Kassar have no candidates that can win any elective office in Brooklyn///PERIOD///FULL STOP

    FYI///that includes Marty Golden///

    ReplyDelete
  3. Even Marty who was led by “genius” Gerry and the most incompetent staff money could by lost by only 800 votes in a tidal wave year for Democrats. Goofy Andy Gounardes took middle positions on the campaign and votes like Bernie Sanders, and that fat Justin won by only 700 votes even though he rounded up every city council staffer and union official in the city to help him on election day. Keep repeating that no candidates can win like a mantra, it’ll comfort you next summer when you all have to do some work and campaign. Will be lots of fun.

  4. I can feel it !!! Yeah baby I can feel it !!!

    2017 round II

Quag, Liam, and Bob go at it again.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Kassar is trying to block Liam. Who can blame him now that Liam has taken over the GOP.

    ReplyDelete
  6. The only way that you can drive a car only looking in the rear view mirror is if you are driving in reverse, and that's still not the right way to do it.

You have to put your arm over the back of of the seat and twist around; it's a lot like trying to smack your kids in the back seat while you're driving.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Liam
    Ahahahahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  8. Do you think Bob can hold his base together?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Swinging wildly at kids in the back seat, "Now, don't make me stop this car!"

    ReplyDelete
  10. 10:31 nobody hits kids in back seats. We have progressed.
Kids now get driven around in mini vans to get brain damage from football.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Did liam get off his girlfriend's moms futon yet?

    ReplyDelete
  12. When you think of Liam, also think of this:

"The wolf shall dwell with the lamb,
and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat,
    and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together;
and a little child shall lead them...."
    - Isaiah 11:6

    ReplyDelete
  13. Since Eaton retired Liam and the entire Brooklyn GOP is a laughingstock

    ReplyDelete
  14. When you think of Bob also think of this:

    Spray the veggies
    Fill the bucket
    Stock the shelves . .

    ReplyDelete
  15. I read the Kassar interview and 2 things are clear.
    1- Golden aint running
2- Kassar realizes that Liam is the defacto county chair

    ReplyDelete
  16. Nobody seems to know or care about that old political adage, "Better to have THEM (whoever they might be) inside the tent pissing out, than having THEM outside the tent pissing in."

    ReplyDelete
  17. When u think of Liam also think of this

Sleeping on his girls moms couch
Losing more races that he's been involved with than anyone else (his own, Grimm primary, Saperstein, Ulrich for public advocate, etc. Etxc

    Last call at Salty Dog
    Shitting in cans when drinking

    ReplyDelete
  18. Jerry and Fran used to get their way by pushing everybody around with Marty and sometimes Dan or Mike Grimm back then. Now they got nobody but Malliotakis and trying the same thing with laughable results. Nobody takes them serious anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Let it go Bob. Even if all you write about Liam is true he is still a big part of Brooklyn GOP while you struggle to get people to return your calls.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Why does anyone think he sleeps on the sofa?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Nicole & Liam are rebuilding the GOP. A new State Chair was key.

    ReplyDelete
  22. When is comes to the Republican Party, nobody is rebuilding anything.

    ReplyDelete
  23. There is no Brooklyn GOP and everyone knows it..and love how Liam in 943am and others pretending all is good with nicole...Nicole cant stand Eric Ulrich and Liam went to the mat in Ulrich Public Advocate race , which of course was another loss for Liam...it did not go unnoticed by Malliotakis and others that when Ulrich continuously trashee nicole on Twitter, Liam was silent!
    Ahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  24. Another great column by Bob Capano, meanwhile has anyone seen anything about Liam???

    https://www.brooklynpaper.com/stories/42/33/all-capano-do-the-right-thing-2019-08-16-bk.html

    ReplyDelete
  25. No one is rushing to return Liams calls except the Bodega on 6th avenue by his girldriends moms house to deliver a six pack if Budweiser to his couch

    ReplyDelete
  26. Nicole made up with Eric Ulrich, now Bob trying to make up with Gerry because he thinks Nicole cares. Liam and Bob are falling over themselves to get Nicole’s attention and makes no sense cause she’s gonna get landslided loss to Max. At least John Q has some dignity.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The 1%'ers on this blog never mention all the races Liam won. He got Grimm re-elected while he was facing prison. Orchestrated the historic Starobin & Turner wins. Notice how Marty lost after Liam Walked away.

No wonder Nicole is courting him for support.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Eaton takes credit for Turner and Storobin. But it was Liam

    ReplyDelete
  29. If nicole made up with Ulrich, why was she only elected republican who didn't endorse him for advocate?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well known that Liam has been begging Jerry to tell Nicole to hire him for months now. But the patronage mill at KCCP only extends so far and if Connor firm hires any more of their refugees they’re going to need a bigger office.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Oh yes. Putting up lawn signs in Brooklyn was the turning point for Grimm, Storobin, Turner.

Yawn. Liam was never trusted with comms or ads. For good reason.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Did Bob Turner or David Storobin ever hire Liam McCabe?

Didn't Mike Grimm and Dan Donovan fire Liam more times than they hired him?

    ReplyDelete
  33. As long as those jars of olive oil slip out of customers hands Bob will have a job.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Liam predicted Donovan was going to lose. He was right. Now that Liam has deposed Cox and the dead wood dragging down the party we can finally win.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Liam runs the Brooklyn GOP while Capano and Eaton hang on to Catsimades to maintain any relevance (and free dinners)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Bob is the last one to know that the PA race was months ago and that Nicole and Eric have patched things up. Still don’t understand all the fuss with her as she’s going to lose to Max bigly.

    ReplyDelete
  37. 1106, somebody must be on the sauce again, or abusing opioids, or kind of cranked up, but most likely, it's all three for them to say to say, "Now that Liam deposed Cox ... we can finally win."

The only dead wood that did any dragging down of any party was Natalie Wood, and Chris Walken has known about it all along, but mum's the word.

    ReplyDelete
  38. The conservatives keep email blasting me about Malliotakis next Brooklyn Fundraiser. What I would like to know as a constituent is why she still hasn't opened up an office in Brooklyn like she promised she would. I'm a Republican and now I need to go to Brannan or Frontus for help. Word is that she only takes meetings in the conservative party headquarters in Brooklyn. If she is serious about going to congress she'll start caring more about her constituents and less about what the conservative party wants her to do. Alot of nerve to come to Brooklyn only to collect money.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I would rather be Eaton and Capano hanging with billionair Cats then being tagged with the title of running something which has died and doesnt exist anymore. Just saying....

    ReplyDelete
  40. Liam loves the tall boys!

    ReplyDelete
  41. 915 pm
Good points about Liam being fired by Grimm and Donovan but dont forget he was also fired from Eric Ulrich's City Council staff (a low level patronage hack job) several years ago (its public record) for pissing on Ulrich's City Council office rug in Ozone Park, Queens while drunk.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Is Liam still working for de Blasio as a phone receptionist at the Taxi & Limousine Commission??

    ReplyDelete
  43. Just how little there is to say about the Brooklyn GOP is shown by all of this Liam ragging on Capano and Capano ragging on Liam stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  44. The brooklyn gop is dead and everyone knows it

    ReplyDelete
  45. Nicole & Marty will get this party going !!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. After 2020, Nicole will just be somebody that everybody in Brooklyn used to know, like all the old Republicans before her.
Just one more to go and Ted Ghorra will have completed his clean sweep of the Brooklyn GOP, what a guy!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Ghorra and Liam killed the Brooklyn GOP, great job!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Can’t blame Ted for something he doesn’t control. He got no choice but to do what Gerry tell him to do or he’s gonna make Liam new chair. Ted wasn’t the one going around telling people that Marty up by 20 points a week before election. The Conservatives have been running Brooklyn GOP since Craig Eaton left.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Ted saw the writing on the walls when Langworthy explained Liam was running the GOP in NYC.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Marty doesn't want to run. Colleen doesn't want him to run too. But Marty keeps on telling people even though HE doesn't want to run, "The Party" is pushing him and he wants to be loyal to "The Party."

Why would Marty feel obligated to be loyal to the party? He IS and WAS the GOP in Brooklyn. The Party needed him not the other way around.

Kassar is a total clown. I ran into him at a garage sale in Ulster County. Without Marty, Kassar is a zero.

"You don't hold elected office in this town. You run it because people think you do. They stop thinking it you stop running it."

    ReplyDelete
  51. I used to have zero respect for Nicole
I am rebuilding my respect for her because I keep hearing Liam is begging Nicole to hire him and Nicole won't do it
Nicole hiring Liam would be her downfall
Nicole needs to stay away from Liam, Kassar, Kepi and the rest of those Bozos
only then will she maybe have a shot at NY-11. Maybe.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Nicole hasn't hired Liam yet because she already pissed off her chief of staff when she listened to Jerry and hired John. Jerry owns Nicole and directs what she does on both sides of the bridge.whole Staten Island office is totally different now too. Nicole, Liam, and Jerry get along great and go way back but they still need to try to keep up appearances for the sake of trying to win the race against Max. The whole puppet thing don't look good for the public image. Liam has as much chance to be new chair as Lanworthy has of growing a real Afro. Matter of fact I think Ted's people started the rumor just to get everybody on his side.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Wow..I never thought I would say this but I actually have some respect for quaglione, moving on in life while Liam still works for de blasio as an operator& begs nicole for a job.

Many more people see this area made a mistake by not having Q elected...

    ReplyDelete
  54. After reading all these comments, I am sure of one thing, as Republicans in Brooklyn, we are royally f.......cked.

    ReplyDelete
  55. The below bombshell lawsuit against Eric Ulrich's hand picked Queens Board of Elections Commissioner just came out. Bye bye Ulrich and chances of being Queens BP. Of course blow to Liam as well..good thing Nicole has indeed kept Ulrich at arms length despite claims to the contrary here

    https://www.politico.com/states/new-york/city-hall/story/2019/09/04/board-of-elections-commissioner-tied-to-plunder-of-queens-cemetery-funds-1170145

    ReplyDelete
  56. John Quaglione is looking better and better these days than any of these characters. He has a real job he’s still active in the community and he’s not a sleazebag getting involved in all these petty fights. Nicole is the one reaching out to him not the other way around. He’s also smart enough to keep a safe distance, he’s the adult in the room.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Nicole hired Liam over the summer.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Quaglione is the 'adult in the room'?
Even in public, he still raises his hand if he needs to use the gents.

    ReplyDelete
  59. The recent few comments show that it just gets better'n'better...NOT!

    ReplyDelete
  60. John Quaglione is gainfully employed in a good job. He’s staying involved in the community. He’s not going after anybody to impress Nicole and isn’t begging or even wanting a job from her or any other patronage position. She is the one calling him and asking for his help.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Quaglione 2021!!

    Liam in 2042- not!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Donovan dumped Liam. No more Donovan.

Marty dumped Liam. No more Marty.

Ted dumped Liam. No more Ted.

    ReplyDelete
  63. How do all these Republican towers of strength stand on the proposed Third Avenue BID debate?

Didn't Marty and his staff shill for all the existing BIDs in the area, and didn't Marty always want a cut of BID reimbursement money for his stuff?

    ReplyDelete
  64. 940
Dont forget Ulrich also dumped Liam

Question is why does everybody always dump Liam ????????????

    ReplyDelete
  65. The Republicans have a good shot of taking back CD11 in 2020 but only if another candidate jumps in the race. So far we have the guy with the gross videos online and the queen of the meaningless press conference that everybody got tired of already.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Borelli for congress..who hates Nicole more--- Ulrich or Borelli???

    ReplyDelete
  67. Malliotakis made up with Ulrich kissing up to Borelli now too. She's a joke and nobody takes her serious. Borelli or Grimm would beat her in a landslide easy.

    ReplyDelete
  68. What is Marty Golden's very good job for the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens, and why is Nicky Mars paying him off?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Isn't it sad how some fall off the face of the political earth (Eaton, Capano,)

    ReplyDelete
  70. I took a close look at all these comments and here's what I know:

1- Any comment that praises John Q is written by John Q.

2- Liam's scorched earth diplomacy is finally coming back to bite him

3- The Brooklyn GOP died when Marty lost. 2020, 2021, it doesn't matter. Its over

    ReplyDelete
  71. Brooklyn GOP devastated when It was taken over by the Conservatives a few years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Bob Capano and Craig Eaton have to be declared the winners of the last bout of the Brooklyn GOP. It was by a TKO when Marty G and all his supporters, Jerry K, John Q, Liam McC, and all the rest that stuck with Marty till the end didn't answer the bell in September, October and November 2018.

That was just like Sonny Liston staying on his stool after Round Six against Cassius Clay in Miami in 1964. When Liston tried a comeback against Mohammed Ali in 1965, he was "knocked out" in the first round by a phantom punch.

If Marty tries again in 2020, he'll fall down like a badly stacked sack of spuds if Gounardes even pretends to take a poke at him.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Yeah Bob and Craig are the "winners". Makes sense.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Bob and Sonny Liston?

    Liston was into Dwarf wrestling?

    ReplyDelete
  75. The same names, the same tired people. This is why the GOP in Brooklyn is dead and why I packed up my stuff and moved to Staten Island where there is unity on the GOP side. We all are united in hating Nicole Malliotakis and everyone eats. Nobody gets greedy. We all have a place at the table with the boys.

In Brooklyn, you're all still talking about Liam McCabe and John Quaglione as if they are "the future."

The future looks pretty grim if you ask me. You all should join me in Staten Island where we have a real party with real leadership and real UNITY.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I'm a Republican on the North Shore. I don't see anything from the GOP, except deals to kill anybody running against the incumbent Democrats on the North Shore. Even Countywide, is anybody really going after McMahon in 2019 or Rose in 2020?

    ReplyDelete
  77. Brooklyn is in sad shape. Marty knows if Craig was around be never would have lost. Neither would Dan have lost. Jerry and Fran run the Brooklyn GOP through Liam. They keep losing election after election and have run the Brooklyn GOP into the ground. Nobody cares if Jerry finally gets to Washington, everybody on SI is united in their hate for Malliotakis. If somebody else comes along besides the guy with the gross videos, Brooklyn GOP would be stupid not to support them against Malliotakis.

    ReplyDelete
  78. The brooklyn gop died the day Eaton left...liam can only make sure it's dead even longer

    ReplyDelete
  79. If only more of the commenters were actually involved in local politics ...

    ReplyDelete
  80. How long before Liam McCabe becomes the Brooklyn Richard Luthmann, who just got four years on our federal dime plus a $160,000 "forfeiture"?

    ReplyDelete
  81. 4:03 makes a good point. Most of the people who were actually involved in local politics instead of the local patronage by KCCP left a long time ago with Craig. Forget about going door to door now most of these hacks won’t post on Facebook without being promised a job.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I heard Luthmann and Bob use the same personal trainer.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Capano and Catsimatidis use the same trainer!!

    ReplyDelete
  84. I hear Gomora lost his job again...that is three or four firms in two or three years...not a great track record. Almost as good as his record as Chair. Two electeds down...

    ReplyDelete
  85. Ted is an attorney with new yorks most prestigious law firm. I guess the Gop is used to some boe hack.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Yes, we've heard that song before, it's from an old familiar score...

What happened at that "millennial" law firm, Nixon Peabody? It sort of looks like there was trouble in Ted Ghorra's paradise there, hmmmmm!

This new place Rimon, PC, its structure looks more like a Best Line, Amway or Mary Kay pyramid marketing operation than a law firm. They even use a pyramid to show their corporate structure.

So, Ted, can you get me into the ground floor selling soap and cosmetics with you? I used to be a lawyer too.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Ted Ghorra and Liam are leading the way

    ReplyDelete
  88. Phone call line 3 Liam

    ReplyDelete
  89. I saw Quaglione at Bagel Boy yesterday- why is he still getting Marty Goldens coffee??

    ReplyDelete
  90. RESPONSE: THE "IRATE PARENT DRIVER" EDITION

TO SEVERAL OF THE COMMENTERS ABOVE

DON'T MAKE ME STOP THIS CAR !!!

[With one hand on the steering wheel and swinging wildly at the noisy kids in the back seat.....]

    ReplyDelete
  91. Malliotakis is in way over her head. Another campaign filled and about to be filled with more Jerry cronies. Donald Trump Jr. just retweeted Joseph Saladino for Congress and predictably her campaign went into a meltdown attacking the President’s son over a retweet of a funny video. Malliotakis is not ready for prime time. Hopefully Borelli or even Grimm has a change of heart and jumps into this or Max is going to coast to victory even if Trump wins the district by 20. Obvious we need other options here.

    ReplyDelete
  92. 5:54 makes a good point. Nicole not that sharp she’s playing a role and doing as Jerry directs. Jerry will be the real Congressman if she wins but at this rate Max is cruising to a big win.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Seems what's left of the local GOP sifting through the rubble and still reeling from Marty's loss last year think posting tropes and fake news links on Social Media is the way we will take back the Senate and the House and the State House and City Council. But as someone pointed out earlier, you can post all the garbage you want on social media, but when it comes time to knock doors and collect nominating petition signatures, we will be hard-pressed to get it done because there's nobody left. What happened to Liam's Verrazano Republicans? That looked promising. Did he fall off the wagon again? We can't rely on these cast of characters to keep our Party alive. We need new blood!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Mallio keeps sinking lower and lower. Now she's hiring discarded Trump employees to run her congressional campaign. THAT WILL GO REALLY WELL.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Liam is running the NYC GOP for Chairperson Langworthy.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I guess the Trumps didn't forget about nicole saying she regretted her vote for Pres. Trump

    Kassar and Nicole are out..

    ReplyDelete
  97. Liam and Langworthy are the same age same background. These two can do a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  98. On Thursday Chairman Ghorra attended a great event for Malliotakis with Bernard McGuirk of WABC radio and Chairman Kassar with Manhattan Republicans..oh what a night!

    No Eaton

    ReplyDelete
  99. On Thursday Malliotakis entered a nearly empty room at the Met Club with five or six people just like she entered a nearly empty room at her Coney Island fundraiser and had a fit and left. The only people who showed up are members of the Brooklyn Conservative party. They can’t hide this stuff anymore, on Insta some out of town girl posted the room and it was almost empty. I guarantee you there were probably more people in Craig Eaton’s living room that night than at Malliotakis Met Club fundraiser. I’m hearing she’s begging for Craig’s help. Feel bad for her too she again hitched her wagon to these Brooklyn conservative leeches and now she doesn’t know what to.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Nicole Malliforgetaboutit! Mike Grimm, just too little to remember, and oh so much to forget! All anybody can remember about Borelli is that his name rhymes with raw jelly! But it's easy for every Republican to remember that we all would be better off with more salads in our diet.

Joey "Salads" Saladino is the new millennial answer for the Trump crowd and the rest of the "Never Trump" GOP too: first, to knock off the Maxmaster in 2020; and then take over and rebuild the GOP in Staten Island, NYC and NYS in 2021.

    Make America Great Again

    ReplyDelete
  101. Liam & Langworthy have already turned things around.

    ReplyDelete
  102. I heard Liam has not been seen or heard from in weeks.
    Hmmmmmmm

    ReplyDelete
  103. Ahahahahahahaha..

That was a good one, Liam.

    ReplyDelete
  104. How can anyone take someone who sleeps on his girlfriends moms sofa seriously???

    ReplyDelete
  105. The Spicer fundraiser was such a sad event, very poor turnout and it looked like half the people there were staff. I hear even Nicole staffers on Staten Island fed up with having to answer to two bosses and have either quit or are close to quitting.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Marty's been very quiet lately considering his nephew is back in the news for another bar brawl this time in Rhode Island. I hear Liam was dispatched to confiscate the surveillance camera footage

    ReplyDelete
  107. Nicole Malliobaby's political career will end not with a bang but with a whimper

    ReplyDelete
  108. Liams people are projecting wins in 2020 in parts of brooklyn, queens and staten island. The new state chair is putting his signature on the partys new direction.

    ReplyDelete
  109. John di Carlo comes from a law enforcement family that includes Marty Golden. Supposedly he was in Rhode Island on 'military business' - but he got up to monkey business instead.

This is the second time that di Carlo almost killed somebody in a barroom brawl. The first time was in the Kettle Black incident six or seven years ago. That is the one where Marty Golden personally showed up at the Kettle Black and abused his office to be sure that evidence against his relatives got the deep-six treatment.

That time Marty's relatives got off after a six week trial. Thanks in part to Marty's interference, di Carlo, one of the Kettle Black's perps was able to do it all over again.

It's a good thing that Marty Golden already decided that all his politics should be behind him.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Chairman Ghorra with Nicole Malliotakis this morning at the Hoban Run at Xaverian.

    952:
Eaton was not and will not called by Nicole, and certainly not "begging" for it. But Catsimatedes is with Nicole, that makes another candidate Cats is backing that Eaton is not, remember Golden last year! So much for how "close" they are!

    ReplyDelete
  111. The other wacky Republican running for Congress in NY-11 is wearing a Nazi armband in a social media photo. Hiring Spicer is not enough. Nicole needs Proud Boys as advance men.

NICOLE WILL NOT BE TRUMPED BY PRETENDERS.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Joey "Salads" is the perfect new kind of Republican for NY-11. Nicole is history. Catsimatidis needs more salads in his diet not some other high calorie Greek dessert from the display case at Omonia.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Yes Nicole was at a nice event in Brooklyn this morning with Jerry and Fran clinging to her for dear life. It’s sad that it’s already a shotgun marriage. Maybe Jerry should ask Nicole how John Cats recently tried to reconcile Craig and Nicole at a very high end event and how Nicole was pleading with Craig to come back and help her. Wonder how Jerry and Fran feel about Nicole asking Craig to throw her a fundraiser . Pictures worth a thousand words, almost no one showed up at the Spicer event, at Coney Island it was three or four Greeks and Jerry and Fran she got so upset she just left. The Met Club Fundraiser was exactly like Tom’s except the only people there were the Brooklyn conservatives again another humiliation. At this point Nicole would love to be in a position to ditch Jerry.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Nicole needs a bold campaign video that lays out her plans in an uncompromising manner.

    A Triumph of the Will.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Gerry Fran and Laticia firmly in command of Nicole campaign and Teddy right there with them following there commands. This unified team is great news for Max Rose as he gonna win this thing easier than people would've though a few months ago. My advise to Nicole is throw some free events instead of having everybody have to pay through the wazoo to come hear you speak and stop parading these leeches with you everywhere you go.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Not so sure Nicole will beat Grimm.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Malliotakis and Ghorra..what a great team of losers. They deserve each other.

As for Eaton, why would he need to suck up to Malliotakis like Ghorra does? Eaton left on his own terms in 2016 and embarrassed everyone as we walked out the door, only to see Golden and Donovan lose a few years later because Ghorra spends more time in his hairpiece than he does setting mettings and being a leader.

    ReplyDelete
  118. It’s not fair to blame Ted Ghorra for any GOP losses when he’s not really the one running the Party. Ted’s afraid to say his name without asking Ger for permission. One disagreeable move and he’ll be replaced by another more compliant puppet. The losses for Golden and Donovan fall squarely on the conservatives. Gerry assembled Marty’s team and the lack of any constituent outreach doomed Donovan from the start. His office did nothing and complained about having to do that much. Most people on that side of the bridge didn’t even know he was their congressman. Golden’s campaign office was a ghost town because of the nastiness of the people running it all of them conservative party favorites. Ted knew what was going on but couldn’t do a thing about it.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Ted was told by people that low level wanna be operatives will be jealous of his success.

    ReplyDelete
  120. None of it matters any more, there's nobody and nothing left of the old Brooklyn GOP to care whose fault it is.

    ReplyDelete
  121. 947 am (aka craig) finally admits he has no influence with Cats as he said Cats with Nicole while he is not..
We saw same thing with Cats endorsement of Golden last year...sad

    ReplyDelete
  122. 11:33 I see what you did there!

    ReplyDelete
  123. 12:05 none of it matters anymore except to the extent that the loyal true believers of the Brooklyn GOP have to get these candidates on the ballot and every year don’t get paid a penny to do it while the fat cat operatives of a much smaller party don’t lift a finger and make a fortune off our the efforts.

    ReplyDelete
  124. 353, you are so far up your own ass, you soon will be coughing yourself out like a hairball.

Republicans all over NYC including Cats are begging Eaton to come back and rebuild the Brooklyn GOP. Everybody sees Ghorra as an empty suit and a bad [cheap?] hairpiece.

People are realizing that the Republican-Conservative Party alliance is years past its 'sell by' date, and Kassar and Fran are just not likeable.

    ReplyDelete
  125. John Cats waited until a week before the election to endorse Golden and gave him a couple of minutes on his radio program. Compare that how he goes all out for people like Maloney and Malliotakis who he considers friends. Cats doesn’t suffer fools gladly and her continued blind loyalty to these clowns has not gone unnoticed. Cats expects her to patch things up with Craig but he wants nothing to do with her. She couldn’t get more than twenty paid attendees to the Spicer event and was greeted by empty rooms at her next two fundraisers. No matter how many hacks get hired it’s too late. Max will embarrass her.

The writing is on the Wall.

    ReplyDelete
  126. 908am
Except craig cant win. Golden still controls county committee and will not support craig. Craig wont run because he will publicly lose

    ReplyDelete
  127. Kassar needs to lose a few (many) pounds and Fran, well, you can see what she needs......

    ReplyDelete
  128. The conservative party is tired of carrying the dead weight of the useless GOP.

    ReplyDelete
  129. The biggest dead weight is the albatross around Marty Golden's neck of $12,000,000 missing money that Marty said was there for two projects in Marine Park.

    ReplyDelete
  130. When Marty wins back his seat Marine Park wins.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Once again 918 (Craig) admits craig has influence with Cats..first he says Cats "goes all out" for malliotakis then 2 sentences later says admits Craig wants "nothing to do with her". Cats went against Eaton. Then he continues to try and argue Cats didn't really endorse Golden when he did and everyone knows eaton hates golden..no sugar coating can erase the fact that again Cats went against Craig..guess not much influence there..meanwhile cats continues to talk to Ghorra and Golden and actually listen to them..

    ReplyDelete
  132. 9:08 there is no real Republican-Conservative alliance, in Brooklyn we are basically serfs of Conservative party which in many cases backs even more liberal candidates than any Republicans would. Everything to them is about the patronage and backroom deals. Craig Eaton doesn’t control county committee but at least he doesn’t have to take orders like a waitress.

    ReplyDelete
  133. The 12 mill for our parks would have been delivered if Marty was re-elected. Andy just cant seem to deliver on anything.

    ReplyDelete
  134. 1:59 if Craig wasn’t good friends with Cats he would’ve helped Golden win instead of a weak meaningless endorsement a few days before election. Shows how much pull Ted has. If Cats and Craig weren’t friends Nicole wouldn’t be begging in public for Craig to help her campaign and ask for a fundraiser. Unless of course it has nothing to do with Cats friendship with Craig and she just knows that the people she’s surrounded herself with are worthless.

  135. RESPONSE: THE "LET'S PUT THIS BABY TO BED ONCE AND FOR ALL....." EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 1:59 AM"

AS OF THIS DATE IN SEPTEMBER 2019, EATON AND CATSIMATIDIS ARE STILL VERY MUCH ON THE SAME PAGE --- "PERIOD, FULL STOP" (CATSIMATIDIS' WORDS) --- NO EQUIVOCATION, NO QUALIFICATION, NO SPECIFIC EXCEPTION

LATE IN THE 2018 CAMPAIGN, CATS SAID HE WAS BEING PRESSURED BY MANY PEOPLE TO ENDORSE MARTY GOLDEN, AND HE ASKED CRAIG IF IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO ENDORSE MARTY GOLDEN FOR RE-ELECTION IN SPITE OF THE OBVIOUS GOLDEN-EATON SPLIT. EATON'S RESPONSE WAS CLEAR --- IF YOU (CATS) HAVE ANY FUTURE PLANS IN THE GOP, IT'S PROBABLY BETTER FOR YOU TO ENDORSE THE MAN (GOLDEN) --- I (EATON) AM NEITHER SUPPORTING NOR OPPOSING HIS RE-ELECTION, BUT I WILL BE VOTING MY CONSCIENCE ON ELECTION DAY

All of the above is on good authority from several sources with connections to either or both sides of the Eaton-Catsimatidis conversation about a Marty Golden endorsement near the end of the 2018 campaign. BTW, the well informed among Eaton's still-active opponents ALL know that this is how this all went down. So I have to conclude that you are among the UNINFORMED few who are still wasting time and effort trying to drive a wedge between Craig and Cats.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT FOLKS: Why do both the INFORMED and UNINFORMED opponents of Former Kings GOP Chairman and NYS GOP Vice Chairman Craig Eaton still FEAR him and what he might do with John Catsimatidis and some others going forward ???

    ReplyDelete
  136. The night before his career-ending election, Golden promised $12 million to fix up Marine Park.

Has any one seen that money?

If so, please call John Q. at the Diocese Office.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I was with Eaton and Capano at an event Friday. All those bashing Eaton's relationship with Cats are making fools of themselves. Something tells me Cats, Eaton, and Capano have big plans..and Marty Golden and Ted Ghorra are not part of them..

    ReplyDelete
  138. Will somebody please tell the new Diocesan Deputy Press Secretary (De Sales Media) John Quaglione that the Catholic Church or even Christianity has not "been around for over 2000 years...".

And I have a follow-up question for the new deputy press secretary: Who is the "them" in the phrase "... have millions of people throughout the world following them and believing...."?

Furthermore, isn't bragging about "millions" patently silly and feckless? "Millions" seems like a paltry number in a world of almost eight billion people.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Marty and John Q continue to do Gods work.

    ReplyDelete
  140. And what exactly is it that they do?

    ReplyDelete
  141. Cats and Capano are doing the restaurants work with their great diets.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Yes, that's nice too; but what exactly do Marty Golden and John Quaglione do to earn their $$$$$ from the RC Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens?

Is this possibly a corrupt confluence of church and state actors involving past and future consideration?

Or, for a change, is it just nice things happening to nice people?

    ReplyDelete
  143. Does Bob know grazing in the aisles is a crime?

    ReplyDelete
  144. GOP leaders throughout the state still talk to Golden and Q, not so much Eaton and Capano..

    ReplyDelete
  145. Uninformed - fake news!

    ReplyDelete
  146. Nobody talks to John Quaglione. It is a waste of time. He has nothing worthwhile to say about anything.
If you have a few minutes to waste, just take a quick look at Twitter.com John QUaglione or Facebook.com John Quaglione; see what will you find.
NOTHING - ZIP - NADA worth thinking about for more than a nanosecond.

    ReplyDelete
  147. I see John Q on the Facebook groups still telling people he can help them. How?

What can he do? Dial 311 for them?

Now that is a dedicated public servant!

    ReplyDelete
  148. I think Q still calls Justin Brannan to get things done, just like when Q worked for Marty and Brannan worked for Vinny.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Sorry guys but 3:23 is totally uninformed fake news. I don't know what Quaglione does or how but nobody goes to Justin Brannan for help before or now. Laziest guy around. Anybody who had to go to him before that knows too well.

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 4:20 PM"

Q, C & McC, CLEARLY YOU CAN'T BE TRUSTED TO KEEP YOUR PETTY, SNIDE AND NON-HUMOROUS COMMENTS ABOUT EACH OTHER OFF THIS BLOG

In particular, let's have none of the following:

    Supermarket aisle cleanups;

Coffee runs for fellow employees; or

Bodily fluids on rugs and sleeping arrangements in certain people's basements.

Such remarks are almost exclusively used by and about three particular GOP candidates who ran for City Council in the 2017 GOP Primary, and possibly a (some) deranged supporter(s).

That was two whole years ago; it's nearing the end of 2019 --- enough already.

As far as I'm concerned, ".... Bob did worse than anyone thought...." covers it well enough.

  161. Why so touchy about Bob GM? Never mentioned it either. Chill out unless your goal is to only have his “scoops” for “information” and no one else.

    ReplyDelete
  162. No one pays attention to Capano.

    ReplyDelete
  163. I saw Liam at Chamber of Commerce meeting in Albany. He was attending a forum with Chairperson Langworthy and Dem Chair Jacobs. Liam was smart to stop wasting time with local stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Some people might refer to that as being 'Run outta town' dontcha think?

    ReplyDelete
  165. Boss Gerry has been running a lot of people out of town lately but Liam’s not on the list. Now that he and Liam are on the same page watch out for a lot of excitement on both sides of the bridge.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Let's face it. There will never be another summer of 2017.

    ReplyDelete

Great response and so true..albany get ready for more PARTYING with Liam there !! If u know what I mean

    ReplyDelete
  168. Boss Jerry, Liam and Nicole better hope that Joey "Salads" ain't serious, because if he is, it ALL ends for the THREE of them on one day next September.

    ReplyDelete
  169. The unexpected abrupt departure of a chief of staff a year before the elections already signals trouble and reeks of desperation. Maybe it's the lackluster fundraising, lack of enthusiasm, or a puppet candidate but things aren't going as planned. "Bosses" and "servants" just making moves on a sinking ship.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Joey Salads not serious.

    The name says it all.

    ReplyDelete
  171. So is Eaton with Nicole or not.?

He will do same as with Golden, take credit with her win or loss..people are on to his game though..

    ReplyDelete
  172. Wow, I heard that she never gets any

    ReplyDelete
  173. Obvious some people terrified Nicole will patch things up with Craig. Right now you have the same couple of windbags that have been hanging on to her for dear life even though they tank every race they're involved with. They're the reason Marty lost and they're the reason Dan lost, it never had anything to do with Craig, he was just much smarter to stay out because he knew what would happen. Now maybe they're trying to blame the chief of staff who is a very smart woman but everyone knows what's really going on. Maybe bringing Craig back would put the brakes on what's going to start to look like a train wreck of a campaign.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I saw Nicole campaigning with Kassar last week. I asked her about Eaton and she didnt know him.

    ReplyDelete
  175. 551 is 100% fake news.

    ReplyDelete
  176. The “campaigning” was Gerry was at a block party with Nicole and she had to drag him there. The week before was Frances turn. It’s beautiful to watch them have to actually work now. They caused a rift between Nicole and Craig they always wanted to isolate her, but since they have no volunteers or ground game, they have to be the ones to hand out her palm cards. “Poor” Craig golfing and hanging out at his beach house while the State and County Chairs have to hand out palm cards for a congressional candidate.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Everyone is on ti Craig's game to seem relevant..no one buys it..he will not be seen with Nicole, that's a guarantee...she had and will be seen with Cats though..

    ReplyDelete
  178. Nicole's local chief of staff will soon be sidelined by Jethro or Savananah, whichever 24 year old intern Sean Spicer tasks to be his day-to-day person on Nicole's campaign, while they perform a cashectomy.

    ReplyDelete
  179. The idea that Liam --- he who failed get 10 votes in his own backyard --- is now moving on to bigger and brighter things by getting Chair Langworthy his coffee at a Dunkin Donuts in Ithaca gives me a good laugh. One thing is for sure: Liam knows how to fetch coffee, in any county.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Liam is Chairman is langworthys point man in NYC, including with Cats..who do you think set him up on Cats radio show

    ..it wasn't eatpn!!

    ReplyDelete
  181. 9:10 Nicole is the one contacting Craig not the other way around. Several people were at John's Birthday party, and were present when she was pleading with him to come back and help her. Let's see, Craig has the option of hanging out at his opulent vacation home or traveling to beautiful islands, or he can be like Jerry and Fran (party chairs)clinging to Nicole's side as if someone was about to kidnap her, while handing out palm cards in the sweltering heat at a block party no less. My friends if that is what "relevance" is I'm sure Craig wants no part of it.

    ReplyDelete
  182. For those who don't know, Nicole's chief of staff quit last week in disgust. She is way too classy to dish dirt on what a nightmare it probably was to work for her. Funny how in just a few months she lost her entire full time staff.

    ReplyDelete
  183. 10:26 is partially correct. There will probably be a cashectomy on that campaign the likes of which would make Bernie Madoff blush but it won’t have anything to do with Sean Spicer or her chief of staff.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Liam, Gerry, Fran, Quaglione have one thing in common. It's the Brooklyn Conservative Party.

After 2020 they will have no endorsed elected officials in Brooklyn.

Let's bring back Bob DiCarlo in 2021 to point out somethings else that they will be shown to have in common, a DNA test will show that they are full-blooded 'PYGMIES."

    ReplyDelete
  185. 908
So Eaton has no role in NYC politics ..that I for finally confirming what we all have know for a long time now!!

    ReplyDelete
  186. All you need to know about Nicole can be found by looking at what happened to poor Nicholas Chamberas. Chamberas was at her beckon call for nearly a decade. Never took a dime, never asked for a dime and gave nothing but loyalty in return. Nicole kicking Chamberas to the curb after years of loyalty tells me all I need to know about Nicole. I am hoping Joe Borelli decides to throw his cap in the ring. It's not too late.

    ReplyDelete
  187. 1228, you are terrified of Craig Eaton, and who he knows in GOP politics, and what he can do and/or say to make things happen any time he wants.

    ReplyDelete
  188. “Poor” Nick was the first one to set off the staff exodus in motion when he ran for the hills in June. Anybody who thinks they know what happened doesn’t really know.
They tried to pull a similar stunt with Sara and she also ran away faster than a wide receiver at the combine. I’m hearing that another SI staffer, the third person who left right before Sara is being begged to come back before people realize that in just a couple of months she’s had 100% staff turnover.

    ReplyDelete
  189. Nick was told to get with the program or take a hike..that's what happened..

    ReplyDelete
  190. 3:15 is more bs. Four people left her office in last three months. Ironically all four in various ways got tired of doing the jobs others were getting paid handsomely to do. I understand why 3:15 is upset at being expected to work now that everyone is gone.

    ReplyDelete
  191. Anybody who says they know what happened with Nick or Sara or any of the several people who left her office in the last few months is just making it up.

    ReplyDelete
  192. But doesn't this say it all, 'what happened to Nick or Sara or any of the several people who left her office in the last few months...'?

    ReplyDelete
