Coming soon to a blog near you --- Curtis Sliwa --- is he the right guy to help begin the GOP comeback ???

I have been promised and exclusive telephone interview.....

Maybe, I'll ask for an autographed red beret.....

Seriously,  the conversation will be about an up-coming "Special" for the NYC Public Advocate's slot;  and a certain angelic somebody's progress lining up some significant GOP support

One of my BSIs has teased me;  so I decided to tease you.....

  1. Right now the only real contenders with a chance for GOP support is Eric Ulrich and Curtis Sliwa.

Ulrich didn't support Malliotakis for Mayor, and his candidate Bo Dietl came in 6th place out of 7 with less than 1% of the vote and as recently as 3 weeks ago trashed Malliotakis on Twitter . The Staten Island GOP is critical for pulling out the GOP in this race and they will stand with Malliotakis agaibst Ulrich . Except for Liam , many in the Brooklyn GOP also stand with Nicole on this race against Ulrich .

Let's not forget Ulrich voted for that socialist Melissa Mark Viverito for Council Speaker..she doesn't stand for Pledge of Allegiance and honors FALN terrorists..Ulrich did this as part of a deal with De Blasio and Mark Viverito for a stipend on a committee post...think about Melissa Mark Viverito is probably the front runner on the Den side in this race
.Ulrich c ant really attack her because she can just say you voted for me as Speaker (the second most powerful position in NYC govt.).

Sliwa has always been a harsh critic of De Blasio and Mark Viverito . GOP leaders are being told this as we speak and Sliwa is the real deal here

  3. There was debate about whether Jerry and Liam were no longer working in tandem. A longtime GOP veteran operative had been shouting from the rooftops that Liam still took his marching orders from Jerry. This whole Ulrich business tipped his hand. Behind the scenes there was a strong effort to make sure that when Ulrich came to Bay Ridge he would not show up to a big warm crowd because of his attacks on Malliotakis. Jerry actively opposed this effort by telling anyone who would listen that Malliotakis and Ulrich had patched things up and that she would probably support him. This was pure fiction of course, and the only reason he supported the Ulrich visit was to help Liam and the Conservatives who will probably get more than a few fees generated by an Ulrich run.

  4. Well we know Capano is a key player in Sliwa effort and will be others in a Brooklyn GOP supporting this effort of Sliwa over Ulrich

  5. Kassar and Liam are not as close as they used to be. Take it to the bank.

    ReplyDelete
  6. So why is Liam backing Ulrich then????

    ReplyDelete
  7. Saperstein and Quaglione two of the biggest names in the Brooklyn GOP are supporting Ulrich.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Sap and Q? 0 for 4 between them..yeah, biggest names..
    Ahahahah

  9. Bob are u on the bottle? They bringing voting blocks with them.

  10. Don’t know how close Jerry and Liam are but they were always very close. Fact that Jerry stuck his neck out for Liam again, against his also close friend Nicole, tells us that Jerry sees Liam as his way of keeping control of the Brooklyn GOP. Fact that Ulrich event tanked, with people yelling at him before during and after event tells you how ineffective certain people have become when they can’t use Marty’s name to threaten people anymore.

  11. Capano couldn’t cut it on Staten Island - so he makes up fake rivalries between SI GOP and Ulrich. Nicole backed Glen Yost - look how that turned out..Ulrich is meeting this week and will get their endorsement. Borelli 2020!

  12. IN A CROWDED RACE ulrich is just another politician.

Curtis is a big personality with a big following. Curtis has money and Curtis can raise money.

  13. Let's see who is next Chief of Staff for the next Public Advocate...- Bob Ca0anp

  14. Anybody in Brooklyn GOP backing Ulrich is truly the dumb desperate fool, although we do have a surplus of those types ever since party was taken over by KCCP.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Even if either Ulrich or Sliwa won the special, they have to run again under traditional Party lines in November. At best, they win a ten month gig. In November, they are out on their butts.

    ReplyDelete
  16. How can Sap & Q bring voting blocks with them?

They never had any voting blocks voting for them.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Why would KCCP even want whats left of GOP. You guys can have it all to yourselves.

    ReplyDelete
  18. 1:48 has a good sense of humor, without the Brooklyn GOP you guys have about two or three active members. Thought you could skate by even on a Danny or Marty loss but didn't expect to lose both. Shut down the patronage mill.

  19. Nick chambers and Nicole are supporting Curtis Sliwa.

  20. So far curtis has 2 votes.

No-one unites the SI GOP like Eric Ulrich
    Ahahahahahah

    ReplyDelete
  22. If curtis gets 2 votes its double the votes bob got.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm not sure why are we even still talking about Jerry Kassar and Liam like they are still relevant players when they are both whiskey down

    ReplyDelete
  24. Strange how Bob turned down Andys chief of staff.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Bob may have been asked to be on Andy's transition committee (with 30 other people), but we can all sleep soundly at night knowing that Bob got no offer to work for him.

    ReplyDelete
  26. 154am why would Bob work for Andy when he is quite comfortable working for a billionaire, in addition to being a columnist, Chairman, Professor, Transition Committee Member , and close friend to the next NYC Public Advocate
    Ahahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ahahahaha Because the billionaire sees Bob as a gopher, most of his time spent in the supermarket aisle. BTW, how does Bob know Viverito?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Bob will be the new Q

Making sure Andys coffee is hot

    ReplyDelete
  29. Such envy for a business executive who works for a billionaire (by the way wasn't he getting fired 3 months ago, ahahaha), a columnist , Chairman, professor, Transition Committee member, and friend to the n3xt Public Advocate
    Ahahahahahahaha

  30. 5:38. Capano and Ulrich are friends?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Well seems can agree is Ulrich is NOT the next Public Advocate, a big win for Capano....(just like with Gounardes)
    Ahahahah

  32. RESPONSE: THE "RUNNING, RUNNING HITHER-DITHER..." EDITION

TO: ALL THE RECENT COMMENTERS ABOVE PLASTERING MY BLOG WITH THE PROS & CONS OF BOB CAPANO'S PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE POLITICAL CONTACTS AND AFFILIATIONS

"... RUNNING, RUNNING WHO KNOWS WHITHER; RUNNING EVERYWHERE BUT RUNNING DOWN...."

A lot of the time I just scratch my just-beginning-to-bald head and wonder what the heck Robert C is up to.

All that I can say is that Bob's tactic has been to line-up his political enemies in such a way that he can make almost any contest into a series of one-on-one, mano a mano combats, in which most often, Bob fights his immediate opponent to a draw; or sometimes occasionally, Robert is the winner outright.

That being said, Bob's biggest win has been strategic. The strategy has been a simple one, re-invent and re-emerge.....

Re-emerge as what ??? Well, you might ask !!!

Bob Capano has emerged as a major agent of a powerful and growing political alliance, both in Brooklyn and across the whole of New York City. As a result, Bob Capano, who at this moment isn't even an enrolled Republican, has emerged as one the biggest power brokers in and for the Brooklyn GOP (and only one of his allies might be more powerful at this moment). It is certainly fair to say that Capano is more powerful than any of the following: Jerry Kassar, John Quaglione, Liam McCabe --- and most important --- Marty Golden, who Bob openly opposed, tied into knots >>> and clearly helped to defeat absolutely when it counted the most.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Gail, you didn't make it clear that Bob's reach is into all of the boroughs. His most solid alliances and affiliations are with key players in three of those four boroughs outside of Brooklyn.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Bob's reach is anywhere there is an isle with unsold baked goods, past-dated cereal, or leaking cans.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ahahahahahaha!
Very droll! But also somewhat comically incompetent.... How very, very droll, indeed!
As an executive and 'PR' expert for a major supermarket chain; please, take my word for it, it's 'aisle' not 'isle'.
    Ahahahahahaha!

  36. We love you Chairman, Business Executive , Professor, Columnist, Transition Committee Member,

By the way does John Q have a new job yet?

We know Liam is still a TLC operator

    ReplyDelete
  37. No one can deny Capano is a decent guy, I hear he offered Q and Liam a job mopping his, Cats, and other Business Executive's offices at Red Apple Headquarters in Manhattan
    Ahahah

  38. No one can deny bob is the guy in the picture.

  42. UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "DOUBLE REVERSE" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 11:49 PM"

I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN BY "STATEN ISLAND GOES WITH ULRICH" --- DID YOU MEAN TO SAY THAT THE STATEN ISLAND GOP ORGANIZATION ENDORSED MR. ULRICH FOR THE "NON-PARTISAN" SPECIAL ELECTION FOR PUBLIC ADVOCATE, NOW THAT MR. ULRICH FORMALLY ANNOUNCED HIS CANDIDACY ???

HOWEVER, HERE'S SOMETHING THAT I DO KNOW --- THAT ERIC ULRICH IS MORE DEEPLY INVOLVED IN THE PUBLIC RELATIONS EFFORT TO RAILROAD BROOKLYN DEFENDANT CHANEL LEWIS FOR THE MURDER OF KARINA VETRANO THAN PREVIOUSLY DISCLOSED

IN PARTICULAR, ERIC ULRICH COOPERATED IN THE WELL-ORCHESTRATED EFFORT TO BUILD UP DETECTIVE LIEUTENANT JOHN RUSSO IN THE CITYWIDE PRESS AS A "HERO COP" AND A "ROCK STAR DETECTIVE"..... AS PART OF THAT ULRICH WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN GETTING RUSSO A CITY COUNCIL PROCLAMATION FOR HIS ROLE IN "SOLVING" THE VETRANO MURDER CASE AND TO BE QUOTED IN A DAILY NEWS PUFF PIECE ABOUT DETECTIVE LIEUTENANT RUSSO

I had earlier apologized for bringing Eric Ulrich directly into the messed up Vetrano-Lewis investigation and prosecution, and the persecution of Chanel Lewis by the drum-beat of "fake news" pre-trial publicity.

Now that it looks like Ulrich is seriously going forward as a candidate in the special election for NYC Public Advocate. As part of his vetting for that job, Ulrich needs to revisit this whole Vetrano-Lewis fiasco, and to make himself available to discuss his part in it. He especially needs to tell everybody what he [thinks he] knows about the facts of the murder case involving a whole family of his constituents, the Vetrano's.
