Some instances encapsulate everything going on elsewhere.....
Tuesday night in Pipin's was one such instance
There were three cops at the bar....
Let's start off with --- how did you know they were cops ???
Well, it's pretty much the same as the way that you knew it was raining out last Tuesday night and for some reason there were orange cones all over Third and Fifth Avenue to stop people parking there..... That and their cop jargon about this in the "72" or that in the "69," something or other only going on "...in 'this part of Brooklyn," and "people around here not knowing how good they have it".....
The friend of mine asked for some of the more viewable TVs to turned to the election results that until then were only on one screen in the corner; and the bartender said sure --- the three suddenly seemed to start talking under their breath rather than how they seemed to be chatting a couple of minutes before.
The big instant came a while later, around ten o'clock when it was obvious that the cable network covering the elections was not going to do local coverage. My friend spoke over toward the three guys in suits, "Did you hear how Marty Golden is doing ?"
The answer from one of the guys was quick and to the point --- "There's no results on that tonight...." It wasn't long later that the three left.
It's kinda funny --- maybe these guys weren't cops (Right, maybe they weren't !!!) --- but --- WHY THE ATTITUDE --- AND --- HOW DID THEY KNOW ?????
Cops with an attitude?
ReplyDeleteShocked !! Shocked !!
Marty agrees. 3000 paper ballots remain uncounted.
ReplyDeleteThe Brooklyn Paper has a half dozen pictures of Martys election night soiree and it looks like they got the results. Loud and clear.
ReplyDeleteYou'd be amazed how many cops aren't even registered to vote.
ReplyDeleteNEWS FLASH: THE "THERE ARE NO 3000 UNCOUNTED PAPER BALLOTS" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTHERE IS SPIN --- AND THERE IS FAKE NEWS --- AND THERE IS SPIN THAT IS BASED ON FAKE NEWS
THE MYTH OF THE 3000 UNCOUNTED PAPER BALLOTS IS SPIN BASED ON FAKE NEWS
A reliable BSI just told me that the >>> UNCOUNTED <<< paper ballots that might alter the final count is in an amount much smaller than 3000. However, even if the number were three thousand (which it is not), the size of the lead held by Andy Gounardes would most likely withstand any increases to Marty's count, even if the remaining paper ballots very heavily fell in Golden's favor --- the most likely result is that the uncounted paper would follow the existing vote with a plus or minus of a few percent one way or the other.
Chris Mega couldn't come back from a 298 vote deficit in 1982.
ReplyDeleteMarty has no chance of digging himself out of an 1,100+ vote hole.
If Marty had been a little nicer to Cats things would be different.

ReplyDeleteMarty is down by 500 votes with 4600 paper ballots outstanding. And lets not gloss over the irregularities like scanners not working in Golden strongholds.
ReplyDeleteThere is a court case pending. The BOE has a lot of explaining to do.
Marty is down by 1,129 votes, with 1,800 absentee ballots (1,000 of which are enrolled Demcorats, 400 are Republicans, and 200 are Independents).
ReplyDeleteThere are an unspecified number of affidavit ballots, most of which are usually invalid.
Marty still has a lot of money (well over $100,000) left in his campaign account. HE AND HIS TEAM HAVE A LOT OF EXPLAINING TO DO.
10:10 is absolutely right and I couldn't agree with that poster more.
ReplyDelete4 ED's in Marine Park are still not accounted for.
ReplyDeleteDont waste any time 11:08
ReplyDeleteThis blog has no interest in a fair election.
Got it. This blog hates the GOP and cops. But it loves El Yateem.
ReplyDeleteGuys enough posturing. Marty needs to win 70% of the remaining uncounted ballots. That's just not happening.

ReplyDelete11:49. if they did it must have been individually and not collectively. Andrea can't stand Ghorra because of the Gayot candidacy fiasco, she and the most of Manhattan GOP can't stand Morgan and that's why he wasn't working on any campaign outside of Brooklyn. Ted feels used by Jerry for being forced to bring Morgan and attention starved girlfriend onto the Golden campaign. The girlfriend making a big show of sobbing hysterically while the Golden numbers were coming in on Election night. Cats probably having a good chuckle at Jerry and Marty--he got his revenge and it literally didn't cost him a penny.

ReplyDeleteTwo days after the election Marty had his annual veterans breakfast at the Manor. When Marty walked in he got a standing ovation. Not a dry eye in the house.

ReplyDeleteGhorra is done. Andrea wouldn’t even return his calls. She can’t stand Morgan and made sure he didn’t touch a single campaign in Manhattan. No one would be dumb enough to let him near their campaign after he messed up Saperstein’s campaign, weaseled him and his girlfriend onto Marty’s campaign and wrecked both. I hear that even Liam is done with them and that’s why they’ve turned on him. Let’s be real folks, ain’t nobody laughing harder than Craig Eaton right now.
ReplyDeleteI think it’s pretty awesome that Morgan has to resort to posting pictures of him next to Andrea to try to stay relevant. Since they have no one who wants to deal with them except Jerry, they’re now blaming Liam for messing up Saperstein and “forcing” them to help Grimm. Just can’t imagine why they get clobbered in every campaign they’re on hahaha!
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing that after:
ReplyDeleteGolden loses,
Saperstein loses,
Ghorra loses because he was in charge over the losses and put his whole sweaty wig into the Sap race (gross-did anyone see the pictures on Tuesday of his wig?),
Kassar, Quags, Vella-Marrone, Liam, McLelland, Kepi and others are now all out of jobs, and Testaeverde left in disgrace,
you still dont get it that Eaton is the only individual in Brooklyn who has been smiling since 11:00pm Monday night.
He must be the happiest man in the world right now, and for good cause. The scumbags all lost big and are out of work and unemployable....
Karma is a bitch my friends
7:0pm, you are so right.
ReplyDelete3:24 and 3:29 must be the same poster because they are both ridiculous posts.
If there wasnt a dry eye in the room Tuesday night, it had nothing to do with Eaton and Cats, but rather tears of dispair, fear and turmoil since they realized their gravy train Golden was going down and they were all going down with the ship-and they realized how they will hate waiting on the unemployment line and the Welfare line for foodstamps
Now that is really funny
what happened on tuesday night was a bloodbath of epic proportions. Donovan, Golden, Saperstein all had their knee caps busted by the Bay Ridge Democrats. That fat turkey Brannan is the unfortunately the new King of Bay Ridge. For now
ReplyDeleteThe comment above was by City Councilman "Fat Turkey" Justin Brannan, who might as well not try to blog anonymously if he is going to be so obvious about everything.
ReplyDeleteI dont know why my room smells like my sister.
ReplyDeleteWhat matters is wins and losses..Golden, Quaglione, Morgan , Liam, Kassar, Ghorra, etc. had big lossee...Capano and Eaton win big...
ReplyDeleteGolden and Kassar got way too comfortable, thinking they controlled everything and were "teflon". But that was not the case Tuesday. Their actions caught up to them and they were run out of town.
ReplyDeleteGood for them.
Maybe a litle humble pie will bring them down to reality
I hear Nicole is walking around town like she is something special. Special, yes, but not in that way.
ReplyDeleteNobody likes her. The politicians in SI hate her. She lost miserably in the Mayor's race.
She surrounds herself with losers like Gerry and Letitia Remaro.
She has no future. None at all in politics
Marty testing waters for County Chair (what a joke) or maybe even State Chair (a bigger joke).
ReplyDeleteHe has no college degree, no business sense, no brain and clearly no common sense. His ego is larger than life and he is too old for another job.
I hear he likes Aruba. Why not buy a place there and run for "Towel Boy". At least he is qualified for that job (or maybe not)?
Atkins and Daly are all over this blog and all over social media, as if they have any political sense or knowledge
ReplyDeleteHey Rob, have you realized yet how bad you lost Tuesday?
ReplyDeleteMcLelland and Kepi, have you guys found jobs yet?
ReplyDeleteNote to fat turkey Justin who blogs here often. The con con and the fact that literally thousands of Max Rose volunteers descended onto the district has saved your fat ass two years in a row. You’re a vegan nothing burger, lightning struck twice for you and it has nothing to do with your Twitter club AKA Bay Ridge Democrats. You’re more vulnerable to losing re-election than Gounardes.
ReplyDeleteAlways an excuse on why Justin wins..
ReplyDeleteJustin B is ready for the drunk Liam to run against him...he will beat him worse than Quaglione did.
Everyone here realizes that Curtis and Bob lost their ballot status on Tuesday, right?
ReplyDeleteNice as their (largely a public relations gimmick, it got Andrew only 123 votes) endorsement of Gounardes was, they are gone as a statewide party.
It was not just that Golden and Donovan seemed to make so little effort to attract younger voters, it was that they seemed downright hostile to the idea of youth itself. This was clear in the campaign vehicle they sent up 4th Avenue on election night, a vintage car with the blaring sound of a horn that recalled Bonnie and Clyde and seemed to say, “Vote for us and we’ll all pretend it’s 1926.”
ReplyDelete5:08 makes a fair point although I think the classic car was cute. Several “young” Golden supporters did try to get them to take down that ridiculous and highly scorned and ridiculed social media ad about Andrew’s volunteers setting people up for burglary but to no avail.
ReplyDeleteReform Party may have lost ballot status but Capano still reaches many Brooklynites as columnist, with Eaton and others leads the new West Brooklyn Independent Club, and of course still works with and is close to a billionaire and of course Sliwa still is on the mass air waves every day.
ReplyDeleteWith the reform party and phone booths gone where does chairman capano and his followers go now?
ReplyDeleteWith no job, where does Quaglione go now?
ReplyDeleteWith no republicans left who does Liam and the psychos rip off for $$
ReplyDeleteWith no Kassar they are all done
Golden and Kassar were complacent and truly believed Ghorra when he told everyone "I have hundreds of people in the field, on the ground, giving out flyers and lit, putting up sign and knocking on doors" - In reality all he had was the loser Vito who ran for BP last year. He was the whole team, unless you want to count the red headed crazy, the large crazy, and the other young crazies.
ReplyDeleteAnd Ghorra didnt have any interest in Donovan winning since it was clear all along that he was up Grimm's ass and is now even touting Grimm for 2020. Ghorra you are a buffoon - why dont you just resign to reduce the embarrassment of getting thrown out.
Brannan and the Bay Ridge Democrats are the new Power Brokers! All hail Brannan and the Bay Ridge Democrats!
ReplyDeleteMarco and McClellan are smartly at Staples as we speak stocking up on resume paper.
Chairman Ghorra is and will be chair..think about it no matter how you slice it when Ghorra needed Cats the last week of the campaign for Golden he took the calls (letter, Facebook endorsement, radio show, etc) while Cats told Ghorra he was ignoring Eatons pleading to stop helping Golden because it put to rest the myth that Eaton portrayed of Cats listening to Craig
ReplyDeleteGhorra still has the juice
8:03am I hope Marco and McClellan by plenty so they can donate it to Justin and his do nothing sycophants after 2021–word is he’s getting a Primary regardless.
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "CLARK KENT" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 6:20 AM"
When this commenter said, "With the reform party and phone booths gone where does chairman capano and his followers go now?" he/she is overly focusing on the "Clark Kent" aspect of Bob Capano's persona. He can still change into his "Superman" suit anywhere and at a moment's notice.
BTW, I have a special "Steamy" message to many-if-not-all of the Bob Capano's goads and naysayers from 2017 & 2018 --- especially Bobby--Baby & Allie--Pal-ly:
".... Na na na na, hey hey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye...."
Capano may put on his superman cape sooner than u think..I hear he is part of a small group of influential ready to run a candidate for Public Advocate in the upcoming Febraury special election ...stay tunee
ReplyDeleteWhoever posted at 8:19 apparently still has the crack pipe. Probably hitting it pretty hard to come up with that kind of post.
ReplyDeleteWow! Someone used the word influential in the same sentence as Bob Capano.
ReplyDeleteDo you have any idea how few people read the weekly newspapers in Bay Ridge?
Here we go again, just like when Capano was on Tucker Carlson, no One watched the Fox News Channel
ReplyDeleteAhahaha
8:19, Ted, please stop touting your friendship with Cats. I have never seen you in any FB photos at any of Cats' dinners, Andrea has no use for you after you stole one of her candidates and tried to challenge her for chair (dont know what you were thinking there), you supported Grimm against Donovan, and when Donovan won, you didnt life a finger to help him, you tried to become Vice Chair but that backfired bigtime, you lost your job recently and are a total train wreck.
ReplyDeleteYou have been a chair for less than 2 years and already are a complete and utter failure, and even Golden is touting his own horn to be next chair. (PS: In case you didnt realize it, that is the position you currently have that he is talking about taking over).
Duh!
Maybe the wig has gotten too tight from election night sweats

ReplyDeleteCraig,
Please stop saying how close you are with Cats. The proof is always in the pudding and when it came crunch time to choose between Eaton and Chairman Ghorra, when Ted asked Cats to help Golden he did.
There were plenty of witnesses for the the in the campaign office when this was discussed and Cats was on speaker phone and even joked that Eaton would not like all the plans helping Golden but it proceeded. The people in the room have let the word go out about the conversation so all insiders know Eatons proclaimed influence with Cats doesn't count for much.
Ghorra still is Chairman and will be and the fact that Cats clearly is with him only secured his position more..
I even heard Cats ignores Eaton calls last week of election knowing it would be him crying..
Facts are facts and if Cats was really with Eaton he would have done zero, zilch, nada, nothing to help Golden..but he did.m
These are the facts and they can't be disputed.
1:46, I posted above but I am not Eaton. And your fact are not correct at all.
ReplyDeleteI am someone who knows the true facts.
Fact 1 - Cats didnt do anything without discussing with Eaton, and all who were involved know this;
Fact 2 - Morgan, Kassar, Cox and Tobman called Cats' people repeatedly every day for three months asking for a letter and a spot on the radio show and after Cats refused, in the last two week they went from asking to begging for a letter and to go on the show. Cats is brilliant and didnt want to be the reason the Senate Republicans would lose the majority so he relented - but lets be real, sending a letter three days before the election and letting Golden go on the show the sunday before the election is no "ringing" endorsement;
Fact 3 - Cats and Eaton are close and Eaton was with Cats, Andrea, Pataki and others Election night;
Fact 4 - Eaton was asked to go onto Cats' radio show last Wed and is now going to be on Cats' radio show this Wed as a studio Guest;
Fact 5 - nobody has any use for Ghorra. My posting above recites the facts relating to this. He is a loooooser
1...so Eaton supported Golden?
ReplyDelete2..I thought Eaton was "Cats People"
References to Liam’s infamous and sadly recurring battle against alcoholism are entirely appropriate and relevant if we are throwing around Liam's name as a possible future Chairman of our Party or as a future candidate for local or national office. Liam and his personal demons shouldn't be off limits by any means especially if Liam himself is putting his name out there in the master mix. If we are to speak plainly, Liam is an unpredictable and uncontrolled loose nut who is likely to cause unintentional damage to himself, our Party and scores of innocent civilians on 6th Avenue.
ReplyDelete2:11 is right. All these losers who caused Sen. Golden to lose like Tobman, Jerry, the Upper East Side couple who were nasty to anyone setting foot in the office, and all the other obnoxious hangers on need to take a break from stupid attacks against Craig and look at what they did to cause this to happen. Everyone knows but not everyone admits that if Marty had buried the hatchet and Craig was still Chair this never would have happened. Cats would have endorsed months ago, raised money for Marty, and made sure he had a real campaign team and not the menagerie of people owed favors by Jerry that wound up being Marty’s campaign and downfall.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
ReplyDeletePuppets don’t orchestrate anything. Get real.
ReplyDelete833, not Craig, but thanks for giving me the honor of calling me the winner. Afterall Craig was the only winner in Brooklyn on election day.....
ReplyDeleteAnd I heard Craig cant post right now because he is laughing so hard, he cant control himself
Even if Cats is tossing Craig a bone by letting him on his show after he was thoroughly embarassed last week , Craig will not be trashing Chairman Ghorra or Golden because he knows Cats will cut the Mic as Cats proved last week in crunch time who he is with
ReplyDeleteDiane Atkins and Maureen Daly need to stop defending Ghorra and get off this blog..a few months ago they even told someone close to Craig they follow this blog...Cats did not do anything in the Golden race without consulting Eaton first.
ReplyDeleteOkay enough with the bs about Cats being close to
ReplyDeleteGhorra or Golden. It is well known Craig was hanging out with Cats and Pataki on Election night. If we learned one thing as a party on Tuesday night it’s that we need to break through this chokehold that the Conservatives have on us. Enough with Jerry pulling all the strings and crushing the Brooklyn GOP which outnumbers them 20-1 in the County.
One of the fears that Clavin, McLoughlin, Sessa all the other pros at their craft have right now is that if one former Brooklyn GOP chairman were to pass away anytime soon, none of their cosmeticians will be able to get that huge "Steeplechase" smile off of his face.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what person, event or >>> thing <<< has tickled his fancy so much.
Maybe, he'll tell us on the Cats' show today.
OMG, Craig Eaton has taken, Ian's, Bob's and Allie's "Steeplechase Smile"; and that was all that they had left that was worth anything.
ReplyDeleteIn crunch time and when it mattered Cats chose Chairman Ghorra over Eaton
ReplyDeleteNo, that's completely false and you have no quotable source for your nonsense about Ghorra, because he wasn't involved even a skosh.
ReplyDeleteThe real story is that, in crunch time, before the airing of the Golden segment, Eaton told Cats to let the Marty Golden bit go on air, because it was still on the block to be cut if Eaton wanted that.
Eaton and Cats saw the Golden loss coming and didn't want to get any of the blame for it.
832
ReplyDeleteI am confused, so did Eaton support Golden or Gounardes??
I think that the "Steeplechase Smile" permanently etched on Eaton's face answers that pretty well. Don't you?
ReplyDeleteIs Ghorra going to resign now to make Liam Chair or is he actually going to risk going to the reorg to try to do it?
ReplyDeleteHmmm..909
ReplyDeleteDoes that mean if Eaton is on Cats show he will say he supported Andrew??
Nope because Cats will throw him out..talk about a puppet
Andrew should also send a thank you note to the Steeplcshe crew. Since they slithered their way into Marty’s campaign office most volunteers wouldn’t set foot in there or lift a finger to help.
ReplyDeleteNick- what volunteers? Marty office was a deadzone and he had no operation at all. You should stick to how you and Nicole got crushed by Uber driver Adam Baumel in Brooklyn
ReplyDeleteNicole for congress is the funniest thing we have all heard. Hahhaa
ReplyDeleteApparently Marty, Dan, and Nicole were running as a team. Now the knives are out. Love it!
ReplyDeleteNo horse in the race Steeplechase—no pun intended but Adam Baumel decorated Navy Veteran former Assembly Staffer.
ReplyDeleteNicole rules bklyn GOP now and everyone knows Nick is her main person here..
ReplyDeleteA new sheriff in town
12:11 and here comes Justin to stir the shitshow.
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "SOMETHING WRONG WITH SOMEBODY'S BRAIN" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 10:03 AM"
RATHER THAN JUST DUMP YOUR WORTHLESS COMMENT INTO THE TRASH --- I'D RATHER MAKE THIS OBSERVATION
There really is something wrong with your brain. Actual cognition isn't something that you have ever experienced, is it ???
I will be listening let's see if Craig has the guts to mutter a negative word about Ghorra or Golden to Cats..
ReplyDeleteCats will throw him out
Some truly delusional people on this blog. Does anyone doubt that Jerry is desperate to find a new GOP puppet? Does anyone really doubt that Craig and John were together in the City on election night trying to keep the grins off their faces at what was happening?
ReplyDelete
