Republican bigs say that they need Ghorra[-rhea] about as much as a case of the clap

Enough said.....

Now is the time for all good people in the Brooklyn GOP to tell the emperor (Ted Ghorra) that "...  he b' necked as a jaybird !!!"

70 comments:

  1. Ghorra is in the middle of another Team Golden Office battle. Kassar and those loyal to him want Ghorra to stay on as GOP Chair while those loyal to John Q want Ghorra gone.

  2. "those loyal to John Q"

I did not know this group existed

  4. Ghorra is a failure and needs to go.

I spoke to one of the County Chairs re the VC race and was given some very interesting facts.

When Malpass resigned there was an opening for NYC VC a position held by Eaton before that and Savino before Eaton.

The NYS GOP needed to select a new NYC VC and Ghorra started out by telling all of them he is the "senior" chair which is fraudulent. In fact Rendino from the Bronx is the most "senior". You see Ghorra told everyone he was the Chair since Sept 2015 but in reality he didnt become Chair until November of 2016 when the State Chair held a Convention.

Ghorra then had Weingardner start making calls saying that Ghorra should be the VC.

The other CC shot back that Ghorra doesnt attend anything - missed multiple NYS GOP Meetings, doesnt go to events, even in Brooklyn, and is virtually absent from everything.

Ghorra still pursued it and threatened to go to the Meeting and push for a vote.

Behind the scenes a few people were working with the CC and others to make sure Ghorra didnt get that spot because everyone feels he is arrogant. So arrogant that he convinced a NY County candidate to drop out of the race and run for a seat in Brooklyn, when he doesnt even live in Brooklyn.

The CC were outraged that he would steal a candidate from a fellow Chair and the Cats family was not happy at all - in fact AJ Cats was livid.

Ghorra still tried to get the spot, because all he is looking for are titles.
But the reality is, he works for a big law firm and doesnt have a lot of free time.

The other CC felt if he cant even handle his CC job and attend things, how could he even be running for VC?

They all agreed Ghorra was not the right guy and voted to AJ Cats.

He was extremely insulted and didnt even show up at the Meeting with the State Chair.

Pictures speak for themselves - they are all over FB.

The real question is "where is Ghorra"? And why wasnt he there?

These are the facts and can be substantiated by calling any of the real CC in NYC.

The Anonymous posters will now say, Cats is with Ghorra, Cats loves Ghorra, etc etc. But if Cats really did love Ghorra, why wouldnt he have supported him and told his daughter to wait??

  5. RESPONSE: THE "WHO ARE YOU GOING TO BELIEVE, TED GHORRA OR YOUR LYIN' EYES AND EARS AND BRAIN" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 5:13 AM"

LET ME SEE IF I HEARD MY SOURCES CORRECTLY ON THIS STORY ABOUT THE KINGS COUNTY REPUBLICAN CHAIRMAN TED GHORRA'S VERY RECENT ANTICS --- AND PLEASE, ANYBODY CORRECT ME IF I GOT ANY OF THIS WRONG --- OR IF I LEFT ANYTHING OUT.....

Marty Golden's hand-picked County Chairman Ted Ghorra tried to maneuver his way into the NYS NYC Region Vice Chairmanship position once held by his predecessor as Brooklyn Chairman, Craig Eaton. Ghorra had people like NYS Party Chairman Cox make calls for him, and Ghorra even tried to personally cajole the other GOP County Chairs in NYC to vote for him. (NOTE: this put the Brooklyn Chair, Ted Ghorra, in direct competition with Manhattan GOP Chairperson Andrea Catsimatidis for the spot of GOP regional vice chair for NYC; and the Ghorra-Catsimatidis insider showdown was Monday night). In the end, when the vote did come on Monday night, Ghorra lost.

That was the meat; now, here's some potatoes and gravy: this most recent gambit by Teddy G showed that he is a legend only in his own mind. In the real world, Ted Ghorra never stood a snowball's chance in hell of beating out Ms. Catsimatidis for the vacant NYS-NYC Regional Vice Chairman slot. It also shows that nobody in the GOP really seem to like Ghorra at all, because he doesn't do any of the real work of being a GOP County Chairman and he is generally perceived as being too arrogant with his peers, most of whom are much more experienced than he is.

All of this puts the lie to all the nonsense that sometimes shows up on this blog that there is any kind of Golden-Ghorra-Catsimatidis troika in place in the GOP. In fact, the opposite is true, the whole Cats team knows that all the disharmony and disarray inside the Brooklyn GOP is the fault of Marty Golden and his people, now-including Ted Ghorra, who openly tried to shove a shiv into Andrea, but wound-up hoist on his own stiletto.

GOLDEN-GHORRA AFFLICTION IS NOTHING TO JOKE ABOUT.....

  7. 513am is exactly right..the bottom line is Eaton is close with Cats, always has been...Capano is also there, and this should put to rest any talk from Golden camp that Reform Party in Brooklyn "must" endorse Golden...revenge is sweet for Cats and family and what they did to John and now AJ is not right, a Reform Party endorsement of Gournades by Capano may be a bit of sweet revenge

    ReplyDelete
  8. If Weingartner was making calls for Ted Ghorra that definitely sealed the deal for Andrea. Another patronage buffoon mailing it in for the paycheck. Where does Ed Cox find these people?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Ted is in complete control and some say first in line to be the next state chair.

    ReplyDelete
  10. If Ed Cox keeps this up by deploying such an abysmal ground game and ineffective strategy for key races, there may be an opening for Ted to still claim he was in the mix for key positions when he never really had a chance.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Here's what happened plain and simple. Craig Eaton got a sawed-off shotgun. He walked up to Ted Ghorra and pointed that unsophisticated firearm at GhHorra's crotch. Without any fanfare Craig Eaton blew both of Ted Ghorra's balls off; saying, "Ted I'm sure that will leave a mark!"

  14. A POSTMORTEM OBSERVATION: THE "PLODDING, DISORGANIZED AND DISTRACTED" EDITION

A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE GEE-WIZ GOLLY G-MEN OF THE BROOKLYN GOP --- MARTY GOLDEN AND TED GHORRA --- AND THEIR RECENT ASS-KICKING AT THE HANDS OF NEMESES, YKW & YKW

So far, Ted Ghorra has been a blundering disaster both for Marty Golden and the Brooklyn GOP. It's just one thing after another, it seems.....

It is now obvious to everybody watching that Ghorra-baby doesn't have either the personality or the skill set to run the Brooklyn GOP and/or participate in bigger-time GOP intra-party politics on either a city-wide or state-wide level.

Recently, Ghorra tried to do something that would have looked very dynamic, but which required a light touch and a quick-step in a quite accelerated real time environment. However, what happened showed that the way Teddy-boy tried to do it was in a plodding, disorganized and distracted way. This allowed Andrea Catsimatidis and at least ONE OF HER KEY BROOKLYN ALLIES to isolate Mr. G and clean his clock when it really counted.

Whether Ghorra's "boss" Marty G was involved in any of this or not, it was a humiliating loss for MARTY GOLDEN, and yet another UNFORCED ERROR.....

  15. Ted is the chair.

    Eaton is not.

    What's your point ???

    ReplyDelete
  17. On election night, look for Ghorra, Golden, and Cats to be on the same stage again- blowing anothe rhole in this whole Eaton-Cats alliance

    - Cats sent an email to Chairman Ghorra and many others saying he explicitly supports Golden..which was a major put down of Craig for all to see, who as all know is not supporting Golden...so much for Eatons influence with the Cat man

    - Cats said himself Marty is mentoring Andrea

    ReplyDelete
  18. I could cut and paste John Cats email here and all who it was sent to here..would be very embarrassing for Craig.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Is 9:24 not clear on the facts.

    ReplyDelete
  20. 9;24 has opinions on who is running the GOP so here it goes.

Ted Ghorra is the chair of the Kings County GOP. Ed Cox is the state GOP chair. Everyone else is a party member.

    ReplyDelete
  21. 933 and 1056 has caused crickets here from Eaton and his cronies..

    ReplyDelete
  22. Copy and paste the “email” go ahead you can do it. Sad that Ted has less relevance as Chair than he did when he wasn’t even involved.

    ReplyDelete
  23. "less relevance"

Only one chair of Brooklyn GOP

    ReplyDelete
  24. An actual chair would be more respected and have more influence over the Brooklyn GOP than Ted Ghorra.

    ReplyDelete
  25. resorting to insults to a family name means this is not a real GOP blog.

  26. RESPONSE: THE "LEAST OF HIS PROBLEMS" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 11:17 PM" AND VARIOUS OTHERS

HAVING A NAME THAT CAN BE SO EASILY RIFFED WITH THE PELVIC INFLAMMATORY DISEASE, "GONORRHEA" IS THE LEAST OF BROOKLYN GOP CHAIRMAN TED GHORRA'S PROBLEMS, BUT NOT THE LAST

BTW: "NOT A REAL GOP BLOG" ?????
TO PARAPHRASE AL JOLSON AND QUOTE BACHMAN TURNER OVERDRIVE: "YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN' YET" !!!!!

The Brooklyn GOP Chairman's real problems begin with his basic disordered personality, and continue through his laundry list of observable personality flaws. If the DSM were illustrated like a high school yearbook, BMOC Ted Ghorra would look like he were a member of student government, lots of the clubs and, most significantly, single-handedly holding down the roles of Captain of the football team, "Homecoming Queen" and star of the school play.

But enough of the ad hominem, Ghorra's problems as Brooklyn GOP leader begin with his lack of experience, are exacerbated by his arrogance, go on to include an obvious preference for a slothful approach to his duties and obligations, and culminate in a penchant for asinine ideas to embellish upon the official minimum indicia and accomplishments of his chairmanship.

All of it has been writ large in places like this blog and across the local press. --- Chairman Ghorra has had so many public fiascos that are indicative of a very problematic skill set, I'm surprised that a management committee at the law firm Nixon Peabody LLP has not yet given their kind of recent "Partner" Theodore "Ted" Ghorra a clear ultimatum to choose between continuing at the firm or as Brooklyn GOP Chairman.

So you see, being compared to "a case of the clap" by a few mere party members associated with this blog is really small potatoes for "OUR PARTY CHAIRMAN" TED GHORRA.....

    ReplyDelete
  27. In the next 2 weeks expect a major endorsement event with CHAIRMAN Cox with Chairman Ghorra with John and Andrea Cats, and others endorsing Golden ..Will be very embarrassing for Craig and will be even more proof of Craigs lack of influence with Cats and family..sad

  28. RESPONSE: THE "NURSERY RHYME" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 6:54 AM"

I'M FEELING "THE GREAT BIG BROTHERHODD OF MAN" THIS MORNING --- SO I WILL ACCORD YOUR MESSAGE ABOVE A DOLLOP OF FULL FAITH AND CREDIT [WHICH IT ACTUALLY HARDLY DESERVES SINCE AN ANNOUNCEMENT, LIKE THE ONE YOU DESCRIBED WOULD >>> NOT <<< BE A MAJOR ENDORSEMENT AT ALL, BUT RATHER SOMETHING ROUTINE]

My recent conversations with Craig Eaton indicate that he has advised certain people (especially YKW and his lovely daughter, the newly elected GOP Vice Chairperson, YKW) to formally stay in line behind NYSSMG because he is a Republican incumbent and his re-election is necessary to maintain what little toehold the GOP has on the edge of the abyss of political nothingness. I doubt that any meeting like the one you described would embarrass Craig one bit. SO THERE AIN'T NO REASON TO FEEL "SAD" FOR CRAIG ANY TIME SOON..... But enough of the CUMBAYA.....

Why has such a routine endorsement for an incumbent, like GOPSSMG, been so tortured ??? HMMM !!! Why hasn't such a hug-it-out meeting happened already ??? HMMMMM !!! Why don't you tell us again, who was at that SSMG fund raiser a little while ago ????? HMMMMMMM !!!!! (If it were YKW and his lovely daughter, the newly elected GOP Vice Chairperson, YKW, why would this "major endorsement event" mean anything at all ??????? [and what the hell, HMMMMMM !!!!!!!]). Let me switch gears for one last thingy.....

I'm going to tell you something, "Anonymous... at 6:54 AM" --- it's a something that's very, very important --- the 2018 elections in New York won't be about what any of the Republicans are doing or trying to do (well, maybe for Marty G it might be a little bit critical for his survival)..... In New York (and New York City especially) it will all be about a hissy-fit referendum by Democrats for or against President Donald Trump.....

And as far as any fallen and broken-down incumbent Republican, somebody like Marty Golden, let's say --- Well, ".... All the Kings horses and all the Kings men couldn't put Humpty together again."

    ReplyDelete
  29. As for county chairs lets not overlook the one that matters to Golden. Dem Chair Seddio has ended the Vito Lopez deal and is actively backing Gournardes.

The biggest factor in all of this is the republicans will lose control of state senate. That translates to 50% staff cut.

    ReplyDelete
  30. wake up folks.

political bosses are no different than mob bosses. they don't give money they take money. Seddio backing Gournardes is going to cost Andrew.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Truth is Golden dodged a huge bullet with Cats. In 2012 Andrew only raised half as much money as he was expecting because Cats supported Golden and a lot of people who would have donated to Andrew stayed out of the race. In 2013 Golden and Kassar waged a nasty dirty campaign against Cats when he ran for Mayor. They not only supported Lhota but vowed that they’d end Cats political career. If you ask me friendship with Craig or not, Cats is being generous with Marty all things considered. He could raise a hundred thousand for Andrew by making a few calls.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Cats is with Golden, it's all that matters. All know it...all also know Craig is not with Golden..All also know Craig claims close friendship with Cats.
So all publicly see Cats support of Golden is a public rebuke of Craig .

  33. Ghorra is going to pull out a win when the gala goes forward next week, right under Gounardes and Barkan's noses, despite them and the Bay Ridge DemocRats trying to silence their free speech. When Gorka shows up the DemocRats will have egg all over their faces and Ghorra (and Marty) will have the last laugh.

This is also the end for John Q. He said on Twitter that he doesn't think Gorka should talk. As long as Ghorra gets Gorka there, Q will know he can't get away with taking any GOP money for future races... IF Marty lets him run last time. He must still be smarting over being kept out of the race for Harris' old Assembly seat, which will go to Chris McCreight.

  40. For all Donovan did to pull Liam out of the gutter and give him a job even after Eric Urlich had to fire Liam for coming in drunk and peeing on the carpet like a dog, it is clear that Liam has not a loyal bone in his body now that he is back working for Grimm. I don't even know how he looks at himself in the mirror every morning

  42. Noticing a lot of "testimonials" from Liam, Doherty, and the usual suspects, urging the Young Rodents to re-elect their club president.

Is someone challenging him, and they are afraid of a new face? Or is Brandon back to his old tricks? The kind that "forced" him to take a leave of absence last year?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Brandon and Liam are kindred brothers I guess

I DO CONFESS TO A LITTLE PERSONAL SNIPING ON THIS BLOG MYSELF; IT LEADS TO MANY MORE CLICKS THAN ANY OF THE STRAIGHT NEWS EVER DOES.....

BUT REALLY FOLKS, YOU'RE TURNING THIS BLOG INTO A BUFFET BANQUET OF EATING OUR OWN --- HOW WILL ANY OF THAT GET US NEW REPUBLICAN ACTIVISTS AND/OR GENERATE ANY VOTERS/VOTES FOR "OUR SIDE" IN ANY ELECTION AT ANY TIME ?????

To the extent that there is any struggle for control left inside the Brooklyn GOP, that undressing and wrestling should be done quietly, behind closed doors, and not openly and certainly not out in the road. That's because it might confuse the children, it certainly scares the horses, and people beep their car horns repeatedly as they go by.....

    ReplyDelete
  48. Liam is just following Jerry Kassar’s orders. He knows if Donovan wins there will be major changes in the Brooklyn Office. They may as well have two horses in the race just in case.

  49. Donovan is on to Kassar and conservatives and that is why he is speaking more to "others" on the Brooklyn side frequently .

    ReplyDelete
  50. Gale
Good point and makes sense but respectfully disagree about Liam.
Liam can't be part of involved in any Brooklyn GOP revitalization...his baggage is too much and will come out even more publicly than it has if he runs or takes any type of official lesdershiop role..he must exit stage left and make room for new leaders like Steve saperstein, Vito Palmeri, Batya Goldberg, etc

    ReplyDelete
  51. The GOP sacrificial lamb in the 2017 race Ray Denaro just ripped Treyger's chronie Ethan Lustig-Elgrably...ethan couldn't even form a sentence when they asked him about the corrupt Treyger office...

    ReplyDelete
  52. Saperstein, Palmeri, and Goldberg? Saperstein got crushed like a bug when he ran for City Council in the most Republican area in Brooklyn. We saw what a fiasco the two Vitos created when they ran the Capano campaign. And Goldberg is just seventeen obsessed with taking selfies with elected officials. All these fake attacks against Liam reek of Capano inspired desperation, yes Liam may have a drinking problem but he’s not a loser like some others.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Why "Capano inspired" attacking Liam- last I heard they were friends and allies during the Council campaign working against Q?????/

    ReplyDelete
  54. 1145am- what do you mean Liam "not a loser"- last I checked he never won anything- he lost to Q big time in the GOP primary..
the only things he's won is the the most rehab stints for a poltical "canddiate"

    ReplyDelete
  55. Vito and Vito will lead Saperstein to victory. Then what will you say??
Liam said he was running , could have won, was forming a committee, then suddenly said not running .
    hmmmmmm

    ReplyDelete
  56. Vito and Vito will lead each other to the Cheesecake Factory. They said the same thing about Bob in the primary and he got embarrassed I mean really really embarrassed. And then they moved on to Saperstein leading him to get spanked by the dumbest member of the City Council in New York in the heaviest Republican area of Brooklyn. That’s why Saperstein smartened up and hired Liam as his campaign manager. Liam probably and correctly thinks that Bob’s fat turkey friend Justin is vulnerable and may have his sights set on that race.

    ReplyDelete
  57. So Liam is leading Saperstein and Grimm's bklyn campaign????
    Hahaha
Vito is the campaign manager for saperstein
Will Liam be out of rehab in 2021??

    ReplyDelete
  58. Liam told Saperstein to come aboard he must be in charge and Vitos would answer to him..saperstein obviously agreed

    ReplyDelete
  59. Only in the delusional world of the interns Vito and Vito would those two be in charge of anything more serious than fetching coffee. After how they fubarred, Capano and Saperstein’s City Council campaigns they shouldn’t even write that they will be in charge as a joke. It’s just not funny.

    ReplyDelete
  60. It's an open secret that Saperstein humors then with letting then think they have some authority to get free/cheap grunt work from them when at the end of the day he will be listening to Liam and others...

    ReplyDelete
  61. The Vito's are a joke! Saperstein is a joke! John is a joke!. Bob is a joke! Liam is a DRUNK!

    ReplyDelete
  62. 325pm
Wrong..Saperstein press release announcing has running had Vito P. Name on it as press person..that's not grunt work...Liam has a minor role and when he destroys property in the Saperstein headquarters in a drunken stuper like he did in the Brooklyn GOP office (I saw damage) even this minor role with Saperstein is gone..the only reason Grimm is willing to have Liam aboard know is because Grimm has no one else in Brooklyn..

    ReplyDelete
  63. Dear Vitos. Part of the deal for Liam to withdraw was Liam runs the campaign. Get a grip on reality. You guys should take notes and learn something after the horrible job you did last year with Bob and Steve’s City Council races.

    ReplyDelete
  64. No one listens to Liam. Not even his dog.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Dear interns, you wrecked Bob Capano’s campaign and then joined a science project with Batya in getting Saperstein crushed in his race running in the most Republican district in Brooklyn against an opponent who may or may not have legitimately graduated from High School. Saperstein would be smarter to listen to Liam’s dog for advice before listening to either of you.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Bob wrecked Bob's campaign. He had the field to himself for over a year, and barely raised any money, despite his much-vaunted connections to billionaire Cats. He imploded in the May debate between Republican Council candidates, and never recovered.

Saperstein does listen to Liam's dog, but the mailman has complained about the barking when he delivers packages to Steve's house.

    ReplyDelete
  67. The Vitos are Liams interns .the only ones who don't know it is them .
