A >>> THROW-DOWN* <<< is a >>> THROW-DOWN* <<< is a >>> THROW-DOWN* <<< it's as simple as that

Bob Capano couldn’t be clearer than he was in his "The Right View" column in  the current edition of  Courier Life’s  "Brooklyn Daily"  ---  “….  [T]his could be the year that the Marty Golden Era ends….”

There’s lots of simple meat and potatoes in what the man of many hats,  Robert Capano,  is serving up this week as a Brooklyn columnist and a local political observer  ---  but how far can all of that be from how he sees things going as the Reform Party’s Brooklyn Chairman ???

The whole column is definitely worth a read,  but Capano certainly bell’s Marty G’s cat with this:   “…  [R]ight now, Marty is weakened by a fractured Brooklyn GOP, thanks to his very public split with former Republican leader Craig Eaton, a former Community Board 10 chairman and well-respected civic activist. A united Brooklyn Republican Party would be an asset to Marty this year….   On top of that are the 67-year-old Golden’s recent missteps. He referred to then-Council candidate Justin Brannan as ‘fat boy’ during an endorsement event for his deputy chief of staff in that race. In December, he was accused of impersonating a police officer in order to get a bicyclist to move out of a bike lane his car was driving through. In 2012, after intense criticism, Marty’s office had to cancel an etiquette class he scheduled for women to help them to ‘walk up and down stairs elegantly’ and ‘sitting, standing, and walking like a model.’ Finally, Marty recently axed a long-time aide for sharing Facebook posts comparing a survivor of the Parkland, Fla., school shooting and gun control advocates to Hitler and Nazis.   Put it all together and you may have a perfect storm that could lead to the end of the ‘Golden Era.’…”  (See  “Is the ‘Golden Era’ coming to an end?  by Bob Capano,   4/11/18,   Courier Life’s Brooklyn Daily   [www.brooklyndaily.com/stories/2018/15/all-right-view-marty-golden-2018-04-13-bd.html]).

BOB SAYS LOTS OF GOOD THINGS ABOUT THE DEMS’  CANDIDATES

Bob didn’t just limit himself to negative observations about “MARTY”…..   He also had some good things to say about Steve Gounardes and Ross Barkan.   It pretty much went like this:
“….   Democratic opponents are more aggressive than ever, having been boosted by the truckload of negative press Marty has been hit with. And it doesn’t hurt that many political wonks agree that the district, made up predominantly of Democrats to begin with, has tilted further to the left since 2012….   Throwing his hat in the ring for a second time, Andrew Gounardes, who received 42 percent of the vote when he ran against Golden in 2012, is the strongest Democratic challenger. Gounardes has raised more than $114,000 according to the last financial filing, is the Brooklyn Borough President’s counsel, has a respected civic record, and is a son of Bay Ridge’s large Greek-American community. Journalist Ross Barkan is also scheduled to run, setting up a primary that could, at the very least, get both of their names out there…   Now that the Democratic schism has been healed, if two special state Senate elections on April 24 go to the Democrats, the chamber will have 31 Democrats, 31 Republicans, and one Simcha Felder, who caucuses with the GOP. But if state Dems also sense Gounardes has a chance to win, expect a huge influx of money and manpower into his campaign….”

*As used in the title of this post above,   “THROW-DOWN”  refers to the phrase  "To throw down the gauntlet", which means to issue a challenge. In medieval times a knight would throw his armored glove, or gauntlet, at the feet of another knight to challenge him to combat. If the knight took up the gauntlet he accepted the challenge.

  1. Gournardes 114k is quite respectable. Greeks know how to stretch a buck.

Barkan has not mentioned anything about money. Does he have any? Is his race the type that ends when the real work starts?

    ReplyDelete
  2. So far it's been all smoke and mirrors, and pitching Gounardes for the 46th Assembly seat.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Gale, you left out the nice stuff Capano said about Golden. What say you about that?????

    ReplyDelete
  4. If the Dems thought they had shot, Andrew Gounardes wouldn’t be trying to clear the field to run for the Assembly seat.

  5. UPDATE: THE "THIS IS BIG" EDITION

THINGS ARE STARTING TO MOVE VERY FAST IN THIS YEAR'S SENATE RACE IN THE 22nd SD

DEM COUNTY LEADER FRANK SEDDIO SAYS THAT HE IS BACKING >>> STEVE GOUNARDES

Does anybody else see that this is a major change from the recent history in the once always Golden state senate district --- a pre-primary pat on the back by the Brooklyn Democrat Chairman for a single Democrat running against the incumbent Republican Marty Golden, with an expression of hope that there won't be any waste of resources in a primary --- along with that same leader talking about Marty Golden's stepping down if the Republicans lose their non-majority control over the NYS Senate ?????

Read all about it in the wonderful column by the lovely Julianne Cuba (See "Dem boss takes sides in state Senate primary' by Julianne Cuba, 4/12/18, Courier Life's Brooklyn Daily [https://www.brooklyndaily.com/stories/2018/15/pl-party-line-2018-04-13-bk.html]).

  6. RESPONSE: THE "NOBODY ELSE MENTIONED THAT" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 1:41 AM"

WHEN YKW LET ME KNOW ABOUT HIS COLUMN EARLIER THIS WEEK, HE NEVER MENTIONED ANY "... NICE STUFF [THAT HE WROTE] ABOUT GOLDEN..." --- BESIDES ANYTHING LIKE THAT WAS JUST WINDOW DRESSING --- I REPORTED ON THE REAL "MEAT AND POTATOES" OF THE COLUMN IN QUESTION

BTW, THANK YOU FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY TO PUT OUT SOME REAL INSIDER NEWS --- IF YOU WANT THE REAL CONTEXT OF/FOR THE BOB CAPANO COLUMN THIS WEEK, YOU DO HAVE TO READ THE JULIANNE CUBA COLUMN THIS WEEK

This is the key paragraph of Cuba's column that you have to pay attention not to miss --- it's as important as anything that she had to say about Seddio: ".... Gounardes lost to Golden in 2012 — and was reportedly pushed to run again by supermarket mogul and former Republican mayoral candidate John Catsimatidis — and is now taking another shot at it after announcing his campaign following a slew of controversies stemming from the sitting pol’s office...." (The Julianne Cuba column I am referring to was cited in my comment above).

    ReplyDelete
  7. Is this a Capano, Eaton, Catsimatidis hit on Golden-- seems like too many coincidences here with Capano column, Julianne Cuba article talking about Cats pushing Gournades, etc. etc.
    What say you Gale??

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 8:23 AM"

DO YOU WANT ME TO DO A WHOLE SEMIOTIC ANALYSIS OF ABOUT WHAT I'VE HAD TO SAY ABOUT THIS STUFF ?????

ON THESE MATTERS I'D MUCH PREFER TO BE SYMBIOTIC THAN SEMIOTIC --- I'M SURE YOU UNDERSTAND WHY.....

BTW, you call it a "hit"; I call it some people just doing their bit..... AND, what say I ????? I thought I had my say about all of this in my most recent two comments up above; also now, here.....

    ReplyDelete
  9. Silly people. You haven’t seen a hit by Cats. Always understated, if Cats decided Golden had to go he would have funded a real candidate. Cats always felt betrayed by Gounardes family when they were going to his meetings while backing de Blasio and Cats volunteers ran into Andrew and Bay Ridge Dems passing out de Blasio literature.

It's time for you to chill; that's what time it is.
You need to get back to local political gossip and forget all that stuff about corruption in the courthouse. Did you ever see Gatemouth talking about corruption in the courts, huh?
And what's with all this censorship BS. How can so many comments be so bad? One or two, maybe, but dozens, you goddaggedduhfuggaddahheeyuhwiddatshit!
Here's my two cents, for all the Sleepless in Seattle crowd in Brooklyn, Marty Golden's goose is pretty far from being cooked yet, but things are looking a little bit loosey-goosey, if you know what I mean.
Now is the time for Marty to make sure Barkan gets a couple of 'friends' to help with his campaign irregardless of what Marty really thinks about Barkan.
And, Gailybird, I'm gettin' onto this laptop way too late. I don't know how you do it.

BOTH OF YOU GIVE EVERY INDICATION OF HAVING SERIOUS COGNITIVE DEFICITS OF UNKNOWN ETIOLOGY; POSSIBLY IT'S THE RESULT OF SOME TRAUMA, LIKE AN AXE INTO YOUR BRAIN; HOWEVER, IT'S ALSO POSSIBLY THE RESULT OF VERY LONG-TERM OVERUSE OF CANNABIS TOGETHER WITH LARGE AMOUNTS OF ALCOHOL, PROBABLY STARTING WHEN YOU WERE FOUR OR FIVE --- MOST LIKELY THOUGH, IS THAT YOU ARE SIBLINGS AND YOUR PARENTS LOCKED YOU AWAY FOR VERY LONG PERIODS OF SECLUSION AND SOCIAL PRIVATION IN SKINNER BOXES JUST TO SEE HOW YOU WOULD TURN OUT --- THE SADDEST PART OF ALL OF THIS IS THAT I AM BEING MADE TO SUFFER FOR IT

FYI, Bob Capano and Justin Brannan are just about 10% of the sources of my "outside" material..... As a pair, they aren't even my top sources of "outside" material. My "outside" sources only account for about a quarter or a third of the material that I use for MY comments and posts. Based on URL info, "BOB C" and "ANTI-BOB C" combined make up about 20% of the "Anonymous" comments over all (although at times it does seem like it's over 150%).....

  34. Yea Bob a former life long self proclaimed Republican is now JB cheerleader in Chief to give some kind of value to the fact that all he managed to do was draw away a few hundred votes that still didn’t affect the outcome of the race. 53. Truth is Mccabe somehow snake-charmed Teddy Ghorra's wig off. so much so that Teddy Wigs told Stretch Saperstein to take a knee to clear the field for the Mighty Mccabe while Quaglione stands behind the window licking a lollipop and looking sad. Is this another Kassar Coup or another sign of Golden's waning power?

    ReplyDelete
  54. This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.

    ReplyDelete
  55. "Goldens waning power" is just wishful thinking. Golden controls the pensions, the budget, and the chairs of the Senate. The reform party is irrelevant and I've yet to see an election in Brooklyn when 1% made the difference.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  59. McCabe is posting up a storm on facebook. Is he running? Is he well? Last we heard he was working out his demons. Stretch Saperstein cant be happy with Ghorra betraying him for Mccabe.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Demons? Doesn't Ted "Toupee" Ghorra know that Liam "the Drunk" McCabe just recently went on a bender, disappeared for weeks and just came out of rehab? Ghorra and the Brooklyn GOP would do a great disservice to the cause if they go with McCabe. How could the party support someone like that!? Saperstein is just another loser who would embarrass himself. #Qforyou

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 9:52 PM"

GEE, YOU'RE SO WRONG IT MUST HURT JUST BEING YOU !!!!!

A WFP CONVENTION IS MORE AKIN TO A PRIMARY THAN A GENERAL ELECTION --- BOB CAPANO GOT TWICE THE PERCENTAGE FROM REPUBLICAN VOTERS THAN GOVERNOR CUOMO GOT FROM WFP DELEGATES --- AND CYNTHIA NIXON GOT ALMOST TWICE THE PERCENTAGE OF WFP DELEGATES THAN QUAGLIONE GOT FROM REPUBLICAN VOTERS

You just aren't as good as I am playing fast and loose with past convention, primary and general election numbers.....

    ReplyDelete
  65. They are not WFP delegates they are members of the electoral college and Nixon carried every electoral college delegation except Massachusetts and DC.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Gail, why haven't you reported that this week Liam McCabe is the Republicans' 2018 'anointed one' in the 46th district?
Some how, Golden, Ghorra and Kassar have decided to make Quaglione and Saperstein bow down in homage to the "King of the Twelve Steppers and the Opioid Addicted'. How in the world did that happen?
For everybody involved, there's one big hurdle, residency. A key consultant says that Liam is NOT ELIGIBLE to run for the assembly in the 46th.

    If >>> I <<< don't believe it, I ain't reportin' it.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yes Capano will run on the reform line in the 46th and get the same % he got last year

    ReplyDelete
  71. Liam is well aware of the requirements for an assembly race. Q is not going anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Capano will win this year

    ReplyDelete
  73. Liam is the “anointed” candidate. He has the support of Ghorra and Kassar and that’s all he needs unless Q steps in which he still may. Saperstein being urged not to drop out but wage a primary. Being approached by former Ghorra supporters.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Not so fast

Chairman Capano has signed off on the 46th

    ReplyDelete
  75. Wow..if Q steps aside for McCabe he will look like a real pussy..also, how the he'll does Q work down the hall from Kassar at Marty's office when all know Kassar screwed him last year in the Council race by helping McCabe behind the scenes and then blowing the general election by quietly supporting Capano on the Reform line...now, Kassar is about to screw Q again by pushing McCabe in the 46th. .Q is just not that smart..

    ReplyDelete
  76. Kassar is just desperate to get jobs for his cronies at Steeplechase, no one in Manhattan GOP will deal with them. If as is looking increasingly likely Grimm loses the primary then the gravy train will end in June instead of continuing through November. With Hynes no longer in Office and Donovan wise to the Con it’s getting harder and harder for the Cons to come up with their no show jobs.

  79. I must please thank the Blog Aministrator for not deleting our comments which are calling into question Liam and his mental and physical heath. We all know Liam has struggled with demons time and again but recently he fell off the wagon again and quite hard may I add. Now he is back home and ready to run for office again? I say why not first focus on getting your life back on track and patching things up with your fiance and her mom who lets you live in her house rent free? There are more important things in Life than running for a measly $79,000 Assembly seat and one that you will surely lose at may I add. Ghorra should be ashamed. Ghorra is enabling Liam by clearing the field and letting him run. Shame on Ghorra I say! Shame!

    ReplyDelete
  80. You didn't say '... may I add...' before you said 'Ghorra should be ashamed' And then before you said, 'Shame on Ghorra I say! Shame!'

  81. Liam demons did not come out in council race publicly...will they with this most recent bender come out now publicly..serious question to put out there...
Would be a blow to Ghorra and Kassar...

Q and Saperstein should look at this as you know the Dems will put it all out there if he is the Republican candidate

    ReplyDelete
  82. All things considered, Liam McCabe running for the assembly at this time is a bad idea all around. Why can't EVERYBODY see that, especially those closest to Liam.

    ReplyDelete
  83. There are no matching funds for Assembly. I don't think McCbae has the Financial network to raise the money necessary..have Ghorra and Kassar thought of that???
    Quaglione can raise the $$$.

Once word gets our about McCabe latest bender, and I am sure it will, money will be even more difficult to raise for him

    ReplyDelete
  84. In all seriousness, why are they just dissing and dismissing Quaglione here? Doesn't he get first choice of running in the 46th?

    ReplyDelete
  85. If Q wants the nomination he has it. The problem is that they are steamrolling Saperstein. The girlfriend is urging Liam to run and Kassar is going along with it to get his cronies paid. You all should leave alone whatever personal problems Liam is having or had nobody is perfect. The problem is with Ghorra who is starting to look like he can only aspire to become Jerry’s puppet and is showing zero leadership on this.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Q will in the primary. Saperstein is clearly not happy and tweeting.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Q is supporting Saperstein and telling him to stay in. Donovan would probably side with Saperstein too after today’s terrible turnout for Grimm in Bay Ridge which was organized by Liam. This could get comically ugly.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Like Donovan ever heard of Saperstein

    ReplyDelete
  89. Not whether Donovan heard of Saperstein but whether Donovan going to let Liam off the hook for betrayal. Not likely.

    ReplyDelete
  93. for McCabe i think it would be wise to focus on getting his life back together and patching things up with his campaign fiancee and her poor mother who lets him live in their beautiful home rent-free. There are much grader goals in life than running for a lowly $79,000 New York State Assembly seat. "Chairman" Ghorra is an enabler. Shame on Ted Ghorra. He should tell McCabe to focus on getting his life back on the tracks

    ReplyDelete

  96. Yea Grimm beats Donovan 3 to 1 among the demographic of felons who’ve done hard time in the can.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Q & Orlando are making it clear they will not play nice with McCabe & O'brien this time like last year when they did not reveal any of McCabe's "issues". They will win again in a GOP primary, no matter what it takes..Q is livid with Kassar & Ghorra

    ReplyDelete
  98. How ridiculous, Liam just updated his cover photo with him proposing to his fiancee from last year..like that is going to stop people from knowing his demons ..Q 4 U

    ReplyDelete
  99. It’s obvious that there are several viable prospective candidates looking at the race in the 46th. If it’s true that Ghorra is already backing Liam then he really is Jerry’s puppet and it’s not just the Craig loyalists spreading that rumor. Ted’s a smart guy only reason he would back Liam against Q is same reason he foolishly did it last summer which is Jerry ordering him to do it.

    ReplyDelete

How the hell is Quaglione working in the same office as Kassar??????????????????????

    ReplyDelete
  101. Liam really looks silly- he is tweeting and posting up a torm on facebook the past 24 hours since he got out of rehab to position self for Asembly race, after he has had no posts for a month- anyone can see right through it..

    ReplyDelete
  102. Run Liam Run! The Q haters are out in full effect. This is your race to win, you will crush Saperstein or Chamberas. Q won’t run because Marty won’t let him.

    ReplyDelete
  103. The only demon Liam has is bobby the fat loser.

    Q could care less.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Q could care less if he is passed over for Liam, who he beat last year?? I doubt that, get real

    ReplyDelete
  105. Liam might do well to sit this one out. He could survive getting crushed by Q in the City Council Primary but losing to Saperstein even by a couple of votes would really harm his future prospects. And last year he had Long and Kassar backing him with all their resources including their headquarters, Ghorra and Malliotakis backing him on the down low and he still got crushed. Sounds like he has to sort through a lot of issues not having to do with running for Office. It’s time for Teddy Ghorra to show some backbone and tell Jerry to quiet down.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Liam should know he cant go all in in a heated GOP primary for Congress as he has done with Grimm and expect to be a candidate and not have peole coming at him..
By the way, I passed by Salty Dog Sunday and there were 10 people there for Grimm... When Grimm tells Liam to take a hike for that disaster, he cant expect to go running back to Donovan again

    ReplyDelete
  107. Ten people is a generous estimate.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Q-- get off this blog

  111. Numbers don't lie and Saperstein had a strong showing against Chaim Deutsch. Equally a shame 'Chairman' Ghorra is clearing this field for his drinking buddy McCabe. Clearly, the 46 candidate should be Saperstein or John Q. McCabe is a minor leaguer. Ghorra is making a mistake

    ReplyDelete
  112. McCabe has the votes in Bay Ridge & Dyker. Without Capano he may have beat Marty Golden machine.. You're dreaming of you think you can beat him. Go Liam Go!

    ReplyDelete
  113. McCabe will destroy Saperstein and Capano's interns, Vito and Vito, who worked with Sap..

    ReplyDelete
  114. Vito Bautista worked worked for Saperstein?

    ReplyDelete
  115. Liam’s apologists are out in force. If you combined not only Capanos vote but Regina Potter vote and have it to Liam he still would have lost to John. And he had the operations of Mike Long and Jerry Kassar behind him as well as Ted Ghorra and Nicole Malliotakis. Maybe Saperstein won’t win by a lot but he could still beat Liam if John supports him. The pint I’m trying to make is that the so called powers that be need to think long and hard before they start bullying out of the race to make room for Liam.

  116. Liam & Grimm are taking over Bay Ridge & Dyker Heights.

    ReplyDelete
  117. The voters remember that when Grimm was in Congress and Liam ran his office people got results. Donovan is non existent in the Brooklyn end of his district.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Simcha Felder is now the one keeping Golden in power.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Check out face book, some photos of Liam campaign meeting in a diner. Gained weight , clear from drinking again .

    ReplyDelete
  120. Let’s get one thing clear. When Grimm was in Oiffce, Fran still ran the office while Liam had a title and worked on other campaigns for Jerry. That was the extent of his involvement.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I love the infighting between Kassar s disciples Liam and Fran Vella above over who was in charge at Grimm's office ...it's only going to get worse as the congressional primary continues and with the 46th AD race...the end is near

  122. WOW- this is nuts.. over the past 48 hours, Liam & his fiancee are all over social media pumping up Liam-- check out his facebook post about Branna possibly running for Speaker and the comments- everyone seeingf right through it-- all of a sudden its like a switch went off and decided running for Assembly and probably out of rehab this weekend so here we go..

how silly - during his City Council campaign announcement he talked about his journey and "recovery"- I dont think he can do that twice!!

The safe Republican choice looks like STeve Saperstein..

    just sayin

    ReplyDelete
  123. Hey Saperstein interns (Vito and Vito)-- go back to class, your late

    ReplyDelete
  124. Liam had a drink. That is such juicy gossip.

Eating Pizza till you gain 350 pounds and stop seeing your dick might be a bit more serious.

    just sayin bob

    ReplyDelete
  125. Is today the day we are supposed to file taxes ?

    ReplyDelete
  126. liam doesnt have a shot.. Saperstein will destroy him and Q will help him..it will ALL come out!

    ReplyDelete
  127. In the photo I saw on facebook yesterday- Liam weighs many more pounds than Bob...just sayin..

Liam is not getting Reform Line no matter how much he asks...just sayin

    ReplyDelete
  128. "Liam weighs more pounds than bob". Did you just get here from Yugoslavia?

oh and nobody gives a shit about the reform line...just sayin

    ReplyDelete
  129. we willl forward this to Bob- tell Liam no need to ask..just sayin

    ReplyDelete
  130. Saperstein will beat McCabe and Obrien big time

    ReplyDelete
  131. I hear Saperstein and Capano met and patched up differences and ready to go against Kassar, Ghorra, Obrien and McCabe

    ReplyDelete
  132. The Brooklyn GOP is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Brooklyn Conservatives this whole thing with Ghorra shoving Saperstein aside like garbage proves it.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Liam has lost lots of support with his recent activities. He needs to go away

    ReplyDelete
  134. I don't care who Liam's got or don't got, because Liam thinks he's going to win without BIG TIME fundraising. That means that Liam will lose badly, meaning the worst ever by a Republican in a 46th AD race, contested or uncontested.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Let's talk to Liam McCabe in language that should be very familiar to him, "Liam, your recent approach to recovery, including more politics right away after rehab, that's really STINKIN' THINKIN'."

    ReplyDelete
  136. Quaglione will take the gloves off and remind voters about the whole struggle and recovery speech before the Council race and know will hear same thing before Assembly race..Liam thinks people will feel bad for him, eve admire him for recovery efforts, but that only works once..Q beats Liam by a bigger margin..I also heard today that Ghorra is getting a lot of heat for saying he is supporting Liam

    ReplyDelete
  137. Whether Liam wins or not whether he gains or loses supporters, is not the point. Even people who helped Ted become Chairman are sick of what he’s letting Jerry do to the party.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Nobody cares about Ghorra and nobody cares about what you say Kassar is doing to the party. All the remaining Republicans care about now is how much are they going to get when they sell their homes.

    ReplyDelete
  139. 6:57 apparently since Justin barely won after a massive concon turnout there are a lot of Republicans not interested in selling their homes. Ghorra keeps this up Marty will make him a convenient scapegoat for unity.

    ReplyDelete
  140. 7:19, I love how you Republicans try to spin losses into wins. Good luck with all that in 2018. AHAHAHAHA!

    ReplyDelete
  141. So far u understand Chairman Capano has met with Chris McCreight and Steve Saperstein about the 46th. Whether this was a formal interview or not I don't know, but it's clear Capano will be involved deeply

    ReplyDelete
  142. Capano is a sore loser who for some reason clings to trying to pretend that anyone in Brooklyn cares who he is. Brannan barely won his seat in a NYC climate so hostile to Republicans not seen since the Watergate era. Which is why he had his hangers on plant that obviously bogus story about him becoming speaker. Staffers from other City Council offices could be heard laughing so hard you’d think Seinfeld came out of retirement.

    ReplyDelete
  143. 507am
Then why is Golden, McCabe, and Saperstein calling Capano for his endorsement????
    Ahahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  144. Here's a big fact that is obvious even from the comments on THIS BROOKLYN REPUBLICAN blog (are there any others?) - the Bay Ridge Dems are growing in power and on the march to take every elected office in Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights - while at the same time the Brooklyn Republicans are in complete meltdown, and Golden's operation is fraying because of the Republican meltdown.
This is a good guess - the Liam McCabe reboot is nothing but a "Hail Mary" move to save Golden or something extorted by Liam or somebody behind Liam as a condition of Liam's crowd supporting Marty.

  148. Let's keep talking about Liam, because the whole Bob & Q rat-a-tat-tat, and Gail's Storm of blog administered removals is B-O-R-I-N-G M-E T-O D-E-A-T-H.

Doesn't Liam know that there are lots of Republican voters that WILL NOT VOTE FOR HIM - PERIOD. That's one of the reasons Q crushed him in the 2017 primary for City Council.

Here's news, most of the same Republicans won't vote for Liam in a general election either, because they see Liam as part of the Conservative Party takeover of the Brooklyn Republican Party apparatus.
