"25,000" --- It's not just some number

At the close of the NYSE today,  the big old companies' index was at 25,000+

This has been a record-breaking week for almost every major index.....   And several of these major indexes set new record highs again today

The "Trump Rally" is now more than a year old !!!!!

The Dow-Jones Industrials Index, which tracks 30 of the biggest well-established U.S. companies, rose 152.45 points today , or 0.6%, to 25,075.13.

  6. Well done Chairman..I just picked up the Bay Ridge Courier and saw your column..you now level the playing field with Kassar' s Common Sense Column in the Home Reporter...you guys are going head to head every week..

You have a great platform for months and years to come if u choose to run again.

What a great beginning of the year as I heard:
    Become Chairman
    Become weekly columnist
    Become possible gubernatorial candidate
    You are laying a foundation

  15. 7:16 is finally unmasking the elephant in the room. It's Bob and through four elections Bob has never answered the question. Does Bob Capano appreciate Bay Ridge? This was an issue that dogged one of Chuck Schumers last congressional races. It resulted in Schumer taking the gamble on a run for Senate.

  18. Who is Capano, and exactly how did he make the Dow reach the 25,000 mark?

    ReplyDelete
  19. In answer to your silly question, Capano is Capano Who. Capano is the latest Doctor operating the TARDIS and there have been no Daleks roaming around Bay Ridge on his watch.

  20. As predicted by some astute political insiders on this very blog, it's turning out to be a big year for Capano.
Meanwhile, has anyone heard from the other former Council candidates? Capanko Has parlayed his candidacy into some big things..brilliant

  21. Everyone thinks 2017 was the year of Capano.

    wait till 2018 takes off

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think Capano did this brilliantly- he knew he couldnt win the primary with Golden pushing Q and KAssar pushing McCab so he orchestrated a very high profile battle with Kassar & Long ("The Placeholder Deal") and a leaving of the shattered Brooklyn GOp to become a Reform Party leader and NOW in 2018- he is the Reform Chairman of Kings County already meeting with local & state candidates, and now a columnist read throughout Brooklyn..well played Mr. Capano

  33. The Chairman was smart to bar Michael Wolf from his campaign compound during the historical council race of 2017.

At least now Trump will realize who the better strategist is.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Grimm was just interviewed on Fox regarding his support from Bannon. It was obvious Grimm is in fear of Chairman Capano.

  35. It doesn’t fit GM benefactors narrative that Jerry got Bob out of Saperstein campaign and now Bob looking for payback.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Cross the Chairman and face the consequences.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Chairman or no chairman sometimes pissing off so many people has unintended consequences which is why Bob and his little reform party are going to stick it to Kassar and KCCP. No more no show jobs for Jerry’s cronies means no more influence.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I hear Capano has built up a nice army of people screwed by Kassar through the years and now that they see the KCCP going down, they are happy to take their chances with Capano and the new, growing reform party

    ReplyDelete
  39. I hear Capanos army is so big they'll be taking over Fort Hamilton.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Kassar has screwed so many people you could populate a mid size city. Now that the patronage is gone so is the muscle of the Conservatives. Will be fun to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Are Bobs troops going to take over Fort Wadsworth?

    It's closer to home

    ReplyDelete
  42. Thats real funny Jerry

    ReplyDelete
  43. No matter the size of Capano s army, certainly having the overt or tacit support of real NYC powerhouses like Curtis Sliwa, Craig Eaton , and John Catsimatidis can only help him!

  50. RESPONSE: THE "IMPATIENT LITTLE BIRDIE" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 7:30 PM"

JUST WHEN I WAS GETTING READY TO SLAM "AAA" AGAIN, MY LITTLE BIRDIE BSI WHO TIPPED ME TO THE STORY STEALS MY THUNDER

Earlier today, the following information was contained in a release that was sent out by John Marzulli, who is now a PR guy for the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of New York. According to the Marzulli pitch, there had been a hastily scheduled telephone status conference this morning; it was arranged by Hon. Jack Weinstein, but it wasn't on the public calendar as far as I can tell.

None of the sides were physically present in Judge Weinstein's courtroom, and the lawyers for the defendants called in and waived their clients' appearances by phone.
Judge Weinstein set a trial date for 5/14/18. It was also agreed and ordered that any defendants' motions for separate trials were to be submitted within 20 days of today's conference.

The next court appearance on these matters was scheduled for 2/28/18, however Judge Weinstein did not orally order a specific time on that date. Instead Judge Weinstein told all the lawyers that he would issue an formal written order later containing the exact time of day for the 2/28/18 appearance(s) for all sides.

Oddly, no bail was discussed for either Defendant Luthmann or Defendant Padula; and no bail hearings are scheduled for either Luthmann or Padula, who at this time remain in custody.

So far "AAA" is performing exactly as one might expect a defense counsel for Richard Luthmann to act, when that defense counsel's real interests seem to be more closely aligned with Dennis Quirk, and Judy and Mike McMahon.

My source told me that, as an attorney himself, Luthmann should know how he wants his case defended and what he is doing to further that. Well, if what he plans as part of his defense strategy is to stay in jail until his trial, then he and his new legal representative, "AAA," are doing exactly what they need to do.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Luthmann had a reason for hiring Aidala and putting up a fight is not one of those reasons. This story not adding up. Luthmann is an attorney with no criminal record. Strong ties to the community are not in question. Nothing is in question. Luthmann never asked for bail, or, his attorney never asked for bail. Luthmann is still an attorney however he may find it difficult to prosecute the Federal lawsuit he filed on behalf of the whistleblower Polizotto while incarcerated. The lawsuit has tape of the statan island DA McMahons wife, Judge Judith McMahon, trying to fix cases and use court staff to raise money for hubby DA McMahons race in 2015.

    ReplyDelete
  52. 9:46 has lots of facts but dusnt get it. Luthmann being put in jail ends the lawsuit and McMahon gets back into congress. Works out all around.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Chairman Capano please grant clemency to Luthmann

    ReplyDelete
  54. Luthman made a deal.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Why hasn't Capanunu used his nu-nu influence as Reform Party Chairman to fix this for Luthmann. Isn't that what powerful party chairmen like Kassar and Long do?
That I left out Ghorra's name was not an oversight.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Kassar got his buddy DA McMahon to indict Luthmann.

Capano sent out a press release denouncing Luthmann.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Hey 807 am
How do you know Capano is not working on it and got Aidala involved!

    ReplyDelete
  58. If Capano got Aidala involved than . .

    ReplyDelete
  59. The Chairman is always working and leading

    ReplyDelete
  60. Chairman
Great showing on your sponsored Facebook ad announcing your new column..almost 300 likes in 1 day it looks like..people are following you

    ReplyDelete
  61. Somebody or lots of somebodies need to get real about this Luthmann thing. The evil-doers were able to go after Richard Luthmann because he was more than anything else, a poseur. Furthermore, he was practically all alone and without any strong or reliable allies. As soon as he got caught out on a limb, he was like low-hanging fruit next to a sidewalk --- he was both easy to grab, and nobody was close enough to him to try to keep it from happening.

When this all went down, the first thing that the Reform Party leaders did was pee their pants. After that they just tried to make a hasty exit without anybody noticing anything.

    ReplyDelete
  62. See Chairman. Jealous and envy.

They fear you. We love you.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Kassar hasn't done anything. He's been silent..
Capano debuted a new column throughout Brooklyn, promoted it on Facebook, is a chairman...interviewing state Senate and congressional candidate's, works with a billionaire

    ReplyDelete
  64. A column in a paper nobody heard of and facebook. Kassar has elected Governors, a US Senator, Attorney General, Comptroller, a bunch of congressman.

Bob Capano lost 5 elections and if I put the % of vote capano got the blog administrator will delete it. I'll give you a hint. Bob got less than 2% but slightly more than zero.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Its not the size of Chairman Capanos followers its the loyalty and dedication to the Chairman and the American way.

    ReplyDelete
  66. 659pm
Are you talking about Kassar's column??

    ReplyDelete
  67. "The American Way"! You aren't serious about that shiboleth of the left are you?
That's something that liberals like Norman Lear and Barbara Jordan latched onto in the early 80s to try to stop the Reagan Revolution. More likely, you relate it to around the time of the TV Superman character played by George Reeves in the early 1950s. It's really more than a hundred years older than that, back in the 1840s some people thought that it was a better phrase than "The American Dream."
I'm not one of those people, and not just because I wasn't there in the 1840s.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I slept through most of the 80's

    ReplyDelete
  75. Bannon said he was sorry.

    Now its Bobs turn.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Ted Ghorra and Jerry Kassar will continue to run Bay Ridge politics in 2018 while Capano and Eaton will continue to blog.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Ted Ghorra runs nothing except to the phone when his boss Jerry Kassar is calling. Even the people who supported Ted now realize what a huge mistake it was. It’s only a matter of time.

    ReplyDelete
  78. It's 2018 and Ted Ghorra is still Chair of the Brooklyn GOP for all to see, meeting with Ed Cox and others, laughing about Craig Eaton' s demise..

    ReplyDelete
  79. The reform party results in Bay Ridge:

    Gentile 48% with no campaign

Capano 1% with mailings robocalls and big time media

  80. Poseur?

  82. Chairman Capano has seized the moment. Thats what real leadership is about.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Capano and Eaton are 2 Catsimatidis gophers

    ReplyDelete
  84. Ed Cox hardly thrilled with Ted Ghorra. Everybody knows Jerry owns and runs Brooklyn GOP. At least Eaton was a real Chairman and got to act like it.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I was with Ted Ghorra and Ed Cox in Albany. They got a long great and were laughing about how if Craig didn't drive Cataimatdis to events and then tag along , no one would see him anymore..

    ReplyDelete
  86. Wait Capano is the driver, Eaton carries Cats coat

    ReplyDelete
  87. Bob had to finish stocking shelves that night

    ReplyDelete
  88. Chairman
    Please see comment 531 pm.
Can't believe how they are still attacking you. You must be doing something right!!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Craig Eaton and John Cats are good friends and Ed Cox feels like a fool that he went to bat for Ted Ghorra with John and Andrea. It's a lose lose for Ted as if he doesn't do exactly what Jerry tells him, Golden will turn on him and he will be ousted. If he listens to Jerry the John Quaglione supporters are going to go after him because there is no love lost after Ted supported Liam behind the scenes.

    ReplyDelete
  90. For all to see, Ted Ghorra is the GOP chairman and Craig is nobody..
I guess Cats can't be that loyal to Craig since Cats and Andrea still work closely with Ed Cox after he "went to bat for Ted Ghorra " as 628 pm says..guess it didn't bother Cats too much that Ed Cox left Eaton how to dry..besides Catsimatidis was relates to Cox through andrea..if John and Andrea really wanted to help Craig they could have stopped Cox from "Going to bat for Ted Ghorra"..obviously they did not..so much for "Craig Eaton and John Cats being good friends"...

    ReplyDelete
  91. A lot of Craig’s old friends even accepted Ted to put and end to all of the infighting but now see what a disaster it was after he bungled a very winnable city council race for Gentile seat. Everywhere else in Brooklyn was even worse. Jerry made Ted go all out for Liam and then made him ignore John’s race in the general.

  92. RESPONSE: THE "LET'S STAY ON TOPIC --- AND THE TOPIC IS RICHARD LUTHMANN" EDITION

TO MOST OF THE UNFOCUSED CROWD COMMENTING ABOVE

THIS THREAD FOLLOWS A POST ABOUT RICHARD LUTHMANN; AND IT IS INTENDED TO DISCUSS FORMER REFORM PARTY "CHIEF COUNSEL" RICHARD LUTHMANN --- IT IS NOT INTENDED TO BE A RANT-SITE ABOUT BOB CAPANO AND/OR CRAIG EATON, OR TED GHORRA AND/OR JERRY KASSAR

One of my BSIs sent me a link for something called the "Ripoff Report" and some purported published consumer complaints about Luthmann's professional services as an attorney (See: https://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/richard-a-luthmann/staten-island-new-york-10314/richard-a-luthmann-richard-luthmann-rich-luthmann-luthman-tamara-moore-the-luthman-law-1397733). I have to agree with my best informed source on the Luthmann case that the
"... language in the complaints about Luthmann as an attorney and the time they were filed [in the "Ripoff Report"] looks contrived to screw Luthmann...."

    ReplyDelete
  93. Kassar had the Staten Island DA McMahon do a number on Luthmann. Kassar tweeted the day of Luthmanns arrest gloating about Luthmann doing hard time. As soon as the tweets were out the reform party dumped Luthmann. The reform party had it first battle with Kassar and they left there wounded on the field.

    ReplyDelete

  98. Daily News says Long is worried the GOP has nobody to run for Governor. I guess Mike didnt notice Assembly Minority leader Brian Kolb announced last month hes running for Governor. Or maybe Mike made the same deal with Andrew that he made with his shithead father Mario in 1990.

    ReplyDelete
  99. or the same deal he tried to make for city council

    ReplyDelete
  100. Nobody gives a shit about a city council race. Its small time local politics that happened last year.
