In just a few days after the 2017 Kentucky Derby --- this
Capano thing at Casa Calamari should be for >>> all the roses, all the chips, all
the dip and all the marbles <<< at least as far as his City Council ambitions are
concerned…..
We have a Derby winner called “Always Dreaming” and the Capano Campaign
needs some real >>> DERBY-WINNER-LEVEL
CRED <<< going into the heart of
this year’s Triple Crown season
Capano needs to show that he’s a winner
and “Always Dreaming” can’t do it for
him ( Three-year-old AD is just too busy for the next bunch of weeks --- right now,
as a legit Triple Crown threat)
They’re calling it
a “Reception to Support Brooklyn’s own
Bob Capano for City Council” (it should be called “THE RECEPTION TO >>> SHOW SUPPORT <<< for Brooklyn’s own Bob Capano for City Council”)….. It’s
from 6 PM to 8 PM
on Tuesday at .>>> Leo’s
Casa Calamari <<< 8602 Third Avenue in Bay Ridge….. It’s got the Craig Eaton, Johnny Cats’ and
“Kings County GOP Coalition” seal
of approval.....
It’s a little pricey, but I
plan to be there to show my long-ago-promised support….. Plus,
now my hair is so nice and lustrous from all the brush strokes I did
last Thursday night, I want the world to
see and be dazzled…..
Ah !!! Here’s the
rub ---
the stop watch is running on Bob Capano’s own latest run for his roses here in
early May 2017 --- he’s been at this for well over a year and some
months. He now >>> NEEDS TO MAKE HIS MOVE ON THE
PACK <<< and establish a clear
lead in some key campaign categories.
One of those is a lead in fund raising over his Republican opponents, as reflected in his report to the NYC Campaign Finances Board with his next filing (at Thursday’s debate, Liam clearly stated that he
had the lead, and neither Bob nor Johnnie Q rebutted that or even said, “Tut-tut,
not so fast, Liam…”)….. Another
stride forward that Bob has to show is
open and public support by key members of the Brooklyn Republican establishment ---
that means Republican State and County Committee Members and other recognizable GOP
activists. Bob also needs to make some
kind of fresh move to the outside by adding a more visible, recognizable
consultant or operative to actually run a real winning-level campaign, someone who has some real cred in successful GOP
races, preferably in Brooklyn (it doesn’t have to be Obi Wan, Mr. O’Brien-Murray, but it was BC himself that once dropped his
name).
I hope my friend
--- Democrat Candidate “X” ---
understands that this is something that I have to do, for now…..
Everybody else,
including Bob, needs to
understand that too….. This is my personal "all in" moment --- but it also might be my last >>> play <<< until primary day.
Sorry, Gale, but rats don't usually swim towards a sinking ship.
ReplyDeleteBob has a better shot at next years kentucky derby than winning this primary.
ReplyDeleteI was at that debate. I never noticed Bob.
ReplyDeleteI did notice Bob's event on Facebook said "expected guest John Catsimatidis"
ReplyDeleteExpected. As in "definitely not confirmed, maybe he will stop by if he can but probably not"
Looks like even the Cat Man is abandoning the sinking S.S. Capano
Quaglione will be the winner easily over McCabe and his Manhattan volunteers
ReplyDeleteCOMMENT: THE "EVERYBODY IN THE GOP NEEDS TO TAKE NOTE" EDITION
ReplyDeleteEXCEPT FOR THE COMMENTS ABOVE ON THIS THREAD, IN THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS, I HAVE HAD MORE E-MAILS & COMMENTS ON MY BLOG SAYING THIS OR THAT ABOUT DEMOCRAT NEWCOMER VINCENT CHIRICO THAN ANY OF THE GOP CANDIDATES AND/OR GENERALLY ABOUT THE GOP DEBATE ON THURSDAY
Think about it..... That's all.
Hey Gale,
ReplyDeleteWhats to think about?
Vince Chirico takes votes away from Justin and Carroll.
Chirico does not take one vote from the presumptive nominee El Yatem.
Zelda of Ocean Parkway
for every 3 votes chirico gets 2 of them come from justin
ReplyDeleteJustin will get 3 votes?
ReplyDeleteIs there anyone taking bets on whether or not Sir Catsimatidis shows up to Bob's Last Call at Casa Calamari on Tuesday nite? I've got $20 cash that he doesn't show and Bob has to juggle rice balls for improv entertainment
ReplyDeleteGentile is pathetic. Hes in the NY Post saying hes running for DA unless the democratic boss makes him a Judge. Vinnie and Justin are two peas in a pod. They get what they can as long as its good for them.
ReplyDeleteto 7:59 my question is why would anyone care about Castimides showing up for anything? Is capano running just to score points with his boss?
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "PLEASE PAY ATTENTION, I'LL ONLY DO THIS ONCE" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID AT... 5:00 PM"
SINCE I DON'T WANT TO GO OVER THIS AGAIN, I'LL KEEP THIS VERY SIMPLE.....
The hortatory prescription, "Think about it..." was addressed to the fact that for about two days (now almost three days) there has been more interest (as manifest by E-mails and comments on this blog) about a Democrat second-stringer like Vince Chirico than all of the GOP City Council candidates and the conduct of the GOP debate on Thursday.
My point was that, more thananybody else, >>> REPUBLICANS <<< need to think about why in a significant span of time there was more traffic on an independent Republican blog and E-mail to its moderator about a so-far-no-account Democrat candidate than all of the Republican candidates for the same office combined, who just had their first debate organized by the so-called Republican leadership.
UPDATE: THE "DEMOCRATS IN THE NEWS" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTHIS JUST IN FROM ONE OF MY MOST RELIABLE BAKER STREET IRREGULARS:
"[Democrat Candidate Rev. Khader] El-Yateem was just the other day endorsed by the NYC Chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America..... They are the self-acclaimed 'largest and fastest growing socialist organization in the USA.'... El-Yateem thinks he can appeal to the GOP in a general election... by being a socialist ?!?!?! Poor guy is clueless and letting Sarsour run him into the ground. He's finished...."
All you folks need to remember that the >>> PRIMARIES <<< come before the November general elections.
In addition, one of my close Democrat friends says that the Reverend Candidate El-Yateem is locking up the Bernie Sanders vote --- this sure does seem to confirm that.....
El-Yateem gets 41% in the primary. Unless brannen runs away with it then its El-Yateem v McCabe
ReplyDeleteDoes Capano even realize how badly he hurt himself at the debate?
ReplyDeleteGail, this Palestinian 'clergyman candidate' El-Yateem told the Democratic Socialists that Bernie Sanders inspired him so much that he decided he had to run for office, as a City Councilman. I guess that's a great thing to say to such a group when you want their endorsement.
ReplyDeleteHere's something else that El-Yateem should have told to the Democratic Socialists. The 'Reverend' El-Yateem didn't even bother to vote in the presidential primary when Bernie Sanders really needed his vote to win the New York Democratic Presidential Primary against Hillary Clinton.
Doesn't that show El-Yateem wasn't inspired enough to go out and vote for Bernie Sanders when it really counted.
What a fraud!
Don't the Republicans and all of the Republican candidates for the council know what a gift they gave to the Democrats by running the whole Republican debate on their Home page?
ReplyDeleteI think that Chirico will pick up support among Hispanic votes if he tells everybody that he's named after the Spanish sausage in paella.
ReplyDeleteto 8:32 (Justin) the DSA are behind El-Yateem because Justin was proud to be a hack for Hillary.
ReplyDeleteTo: May 8 at 8:55 AM...
ReplyDeleteMay 8 at 8:32 AM isn't Justin but another candidate in the race.
RESPONSE: THE "TWO MINTS IN ONE" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID AT... 8:55 AM" & "... 11:11 AM"
YOU BOTH CAN'T BE RIGHT.....
BUT, YOU BOTH MIGHT BE THE SAME PERSON.....
SUCH A RIDDLE ! ! !
For the folks out there that might be confused, a couple of my commenters like to play games like this on this blog; but for the most part they are just playing with themselves. Probably because porn doesn't do it for them --- anymore.....
