City Council Candidate John Quaglione’s latest proposal just overflows with the milk of human kindness --- Along with estrogen, prolactin, and so much more good mommy & baby stuff --- that JQ says he wants to use >>> OUR TAX MONEY <<< to pay for it [if not through NYS Medicaid, then from the City's Treasury]
How much of a “squishy” progressive or liberal Republican does John
Quaglione want to be ? ? ?
I didn’t think that Quags could have topped his call for the
city to establish an Independent
Theater Week; however, maybe
he just did ! ! ! --- Now, he wants the City to pay the cost of
getting real fresh from the breast mom’s milk for the people who can’t afford it
According to a Paula Katinas story in the Brooklyn Eagle --- John Quaglione, says that there was a plan to have New York State use
Medicaid funds to cover breast milk in the same way baby formula is covered, but it's stalled in Albany. Perhaps as part of his now-obvious strategy
of being the most squishy Republican candidate in this City Council race, John
Quaglione has lashed out at people like State Senator Martin Golden and others in
Albany. Quaglione says that this milk from moms proposal has
been shot down in Albany; and he’s calling on the New York City Council and the
NYC Department of Health to pick up the tab
(See “Quaglione says breast milk needed for premature babies” by
Paula Katinas, 3/31/17, Brooklyn Daily
Eagle [http://www.brooklyneagle.com/articles/2017/3/31/quaglione-says-breast-milk-needed-premature-babies]).
Here’s what JQ had to say in his own words: “This proposal would have allowed Medicaid
coverage of breast milk as formula, donated to milk banks, to foster the
healthy development of babies born too early. We have to help mothers who
cannot produce breast milk and families who cannot afford it for their newborn.
The last thing we want is for those who need it to be forced to turn to
cheaper, unregulated sources. We already have milk banks throughout New York City,
so it makes perfect sense for the city to partner in an effort to magnify the
positive results.”
So let me get this straight ! ! ! --- Is
Johnny Cakes really saying that all of this stuff --- the
breast milk donations and collections, and the milk banks --- already
exist, but it would all work a lot better if taxpayer money paid for it for
poor people…..
Another entitlement ? ? ? - ! ! ! --- Breast milk for the poor, because baby formula ain't good enough ! ! !
Breastfeeding babies at the Independent Theater. Q will make a good Mom someday.
ReplyDeleteQuaglione's been sucking on the public tit his entire adult life. That's the real problem.
ReplyDeleteto 3:20 well now medicaid can pay for it
ReplyDeleteGail, will you please tell everybody this, when Q says 'Albany' is blocking his proposal, does Q mean some of the other people on Marty's staff, Marty's leadership in the Republican Conference or Marty Golden himself.
ReplyDeleteBob Capano's latest mailing shows he is the only conservative Republican candidate running for the City Council from Bay Ridge who's ready, willing and able to step up and stop the insanity of Mayor Duhballsy-oh. The other 'Republicans' McCabe and Quagllione only would add their own brand of nuttiness to the mayor's insanity.
ReplyDeleteWhen Duhballsy-oh says he wants to spend our money to open heroin shooting galleries, Capano said he was against it, plain and simple; and even went on a national television show to expose what the mayor was doing. On the other hand, Quaglione says he wants the city to spend that money on puppet shows or to breast-pump women to get their mother's milk for poor babies; and McCabe would spend it for homeless shelters for vets with pets, or some other wacky bide-a-wee project involving homeless veterans.
Who did Bob mail to? I'm a Republican in Dyker Heights, and have received no mail from him.
ReplyDeleteGale
ReplyDeleteIs this true, was there a Capano mailing or more capano smokescreen? ?
Capano did a mailing !! Ha Ha Ha.
ReplyDeleteEverything from Bob is smoke and mirrors.
When the weather gets better Bob will come over from Staten Island and sit in his aunts house watching the golf channel.
Friend of mine saw Bob buying cardboard boxes in Bay Ridge. Packing for a move back to Staten Island?
ReplyDeleteBob never left staten island

ReplyDeleteJohn Orlando is making Q look very foolish..
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "AND THEY ARE ALL HIS OWN" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 10:16 PM"
I HAVE COME TO BURY JQ, NOT TO PRAISE HIM --- BUT, COMMENTER 10:16 PM'S CALLING OUT JOHN Q FOR "GIRLY ISSUES" IS PERHAPS A BRIDGE TOO FAR
SOME PEOPLE SAY THAT THERE IS >>> NO BAD PUBLICITY <<<
IN THESE TWO INSTANCES [THE INDEPENDENT THEATER AND THE GOVERNMENT -FUNDED MOTHER'S MILK BANKS], I HAVE TO SAY THAT JOHN QUAGLIONE'S "EARNED MEDIA" HAS ANOTHER NAME >>> "UNFORCED ERRORS" <<<
The commenter above that said, "the piece is about quaglione & his girly issues. the issues are original. [sic]" is probably implying something that isn't correct --- more important, it isn't right.....
Back to the real point of the post above. --- Even though part of the article that I wrote stood some of what JQ was saying on its head, making my focus on bosoms and not mothers' milk (that was for the purposes of making a ribald humorous satire out of Mr. Quaglione's remarks); my main point was that Quaglione's proposal was a classic big government, "mommy state" (strangely poignant in this instance) over-reach.
Bottom line [even if using that term bugs O'Reilly and Guttfeld --- in this instance it is the bottom line], even jokingly referring to this as JQ's "girly issues" ignores that this is really about Quaglione's proposals being too liberal and/or progressive for a Republican being from his part of Brooklyn.
I met John Quaglione the other day and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
ReplyDeleteHuh? What? Oh, I'm sorry. Just ... talking about ... Quaglione ... makes ... me ...so sleepy... hard to stay awake ....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Q needs to be fair & balanced.
ReplyDeleteMedicaid needs to pay sperm donors.
Paying sperm donors !! Capano will be rich
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "DONOR CLASS" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... 11:33 AM"
IN SPITE OF ALL YOU GEN X AND LATTER DAY YUPPY TYPES TRYING YOUR HARDEST TO REDEFINE THE "DONOR CLASS" TO INCLUDE YOURSELVES IN IT.....
Just jerking off doesn't make you a "sperm donor".....
However, I'm sure that most progressives probably would be willing to make masturbation by men or women an activity very worthy of regular payments from the general fisc.....
So, I guess that means you, "Anonymous said... at 11:33 AM," must be a "PROGRESSIVE" like John Quaglione.....
Do you know what "Liam" Mc Cabe and Bill DiBlasio have in common?
ReplyDeleteThey both changed their names to run for office.

ReplyDeleteBig Bad Wolf Bob Capano has patterned his campaign too much like Donald Trump's, Wicked Queen John Quaglione is doing Hillary's mirror on the wall chant about being the fairest WOMAN of them all and Goldilocks Liam McCabe has picked out the path to victory that seems just right.
ReplyDeleteCapano like Trump?
ReplyDeleteTrump has money.
