Linda Sarsour --- EXIT, STAGE LEFT ! ! !

Maybe she’s been a local for mostly her whole life, but Linda Sarsour has decided that the stage in Bay Ridge is >>> TOO SMALL AND PROBABLY TOO HOSTILE <<< so just ahead of being run out of town,  Sarsour has pulled up her tent in Brooklyn and is going  to God knows where to do who knows what

After questionable charges against somebody commenting on a blog  ---  Sarsour makes her own escape, if not from New York, certainly from Bay Ridge

Don’t make any mistake about it, for some reason or other, the  Islamist-Palestinian activist Linda Sarsour is getting out of town…..  Other than obviously leaving her local platform here in Bay Ridge, her plans are plainly unexplained, and her comments rather vague,  even contradictory.

Here’s Paula Katinas' take on this from her recent breaking story in the  “Brooklyn Daily Eagle” online edition  ---  “Linda Sarsour, a Bay Ridge political activist whose public profile has been raised to a national level thanks in part to her role in organizing the historic Women’s March on Washington last month, is leaving her job as executive director of the Brooklyn-based Arab American Association of New York (AAANY)….   Sarsour, who served at the helm of the association for 11 years, announced her decision to leave her post in a letter to the group’s supporters and community members on Tuesday….   ‘We are in a critical moment as a country and I feel compelled to focus my energy on the national level and building the capacity of the progressive movement, so it is with a heavy heart that I announce that I will be leaving my post as the executive director of the Arab American Association of New York,” Sarsour wrote….”  (See   Sarsour leaving post at Arab American Association of NY”  by Paula Katinas,  2/21/17,  Brooklyn Daily Eagle   [http://www.brooklyneagle.com/articles/2017/2/21/sarsour-leaving-post-arab-american-association-ny]).

Paula Katinas and the folks at the Eagle also noted that  ---  “Sarsour said she plans to continue living in Brooklyn and will remain active in the Arab-American community in Brooklyn but that the election of Donald Trump has necessitated that she become more active on a national level….   She also indicated that she is thinking of writing a book….”

Like so much about Ms. Sarsour,  this all just doesn’t add up…..
It’s just like all the hoopla about the so-called threats against Sarsour.   Almost a month before the most recent charges against this “Glenn Maccioli”  ---  the Brooklyn Eagle had reported about Sarsour’s facing more threats  (See  “Brooklyn's Linda Sarsour, Muslim activist, faces more threats after Women's March”  by Deepti Hajela & Mary Frost, 1/27/17,  Brooklyn Daily Eagle   [http://www.brooklyneagle.com/articles/2017/1/27/brooklyns-linda-sarsour-muslim-activist-faces-more-threats-after-womens-march]).   The problem with all of that was that THERE WERE NO THREATS mentioned in the article, except a rehash of the more than two year old story about the besotted street guy, "Bobo."

Well, that was sort of remedied by Sarsour’s last week with her most recent tissue-thin complaint against the internet commenter,  “Glenn Maccioli.”

WHAT’S THE REAL REASON THAT  “COCKROACH” SARSOUR IS ON THE MOVE  ---  OR  ---  WHAT’S IN A NAME ? ? ?

Possibly, the reason Linda Sarsour is ON THE RUN has more to do with an expose about her that recently appeared in the Jewish Press  (See  “Arab Regimes Behind the Women  March? The Linda Sarsour Connection” by  Mudar Zahran,  1/24/17,  The Jewish Press/ In Depth/ Opp Eds   [http://www.jewishpress.com/indepth/opinions/arab-regimes-behind-the-women-march-the-linda-sarsour-connection/2017/01/24/]).  A lot of this in depth article is about where Sarsour comes from and who’s behind her in the Arab lands around Israel.  One interesting sidelight is that “SARSOUR” MEANS COCKROACH  according to that article’s author.

Also there is a possible ISIS connection mentioned in there by Mudar Zahran.

  1. UPDATE EXTRA --- UPDATE EXTRA: THE "READ ALL ABOUT IT ! ! !" EDITION

SOME REPUBLICANS MEET AT A WELL KNOWN BAY RIDGE DINER TO SETTLE ON A CANDIDATE --- AND GUESS WHAT --- NO SETTLEMENT FOR NOW.....

A gaggle of little birdies told me that a fly on the wall told them that -- There was a big powwow this morning at the Bridgeview Diner.

According to my source, Marty Golden was there with Dan Donovan, along with John Quaglione, Liam McCabe and a cast of hangers on. My favorite rumor (other than "50 Shades..." Rumer Willis) has it that they were sitting down to figure out who would be the "Chosen One" (or as some might call it "The Republican candidate to be the King of the non-Jews") Quaglione or Liam.

As rumor would have it (certainly not as good as Rumer gets it) the meeting lasted less than hour and finished at (NOW GET THIS>>>) "... an impasse. No deal."

Maybe a cool head, somebody like Craig Eaton, needs to be brought in to moderate the next time these folks get together.

  2. I don't buy it.

It takes at least an hour to get waited on at the Bridgeview and capano looks like hes never missed a meal.

  3. Word on the street is Capano sat at the next able, ordered a plate of pork chops, took off his glasses and nobody recognized him.

  4. Wait as minute. Dan Donovan in Brooklyn? A likely story.

  5. Somebody is watching to much TV. Like Donovan or Marty really give a shit about this.

    ReplyDelete
  6. They don't. That's why John Quaglione and Liam McCabe actually being there shows how pathetic and servile they are.
Quick, think about them as community leaders? Doesn't it make you want to laugh?

  7. Gail, can you tell us whether this meeting actually did happen, once and for all?
If it did, when did it actually happen, and exactly who was there?

  8. RESPONSE: THE "FROM ANOTHER CORNER" EDITION

DONOVAN & GOLDEN SEE THAT TWO IS WEAKER THAN ONE AGAINST CAPANO

This is what I was told by another source. The elected Republicans obviously want only a single candidate to oppose Bob Capano, whom they now know they can't control, and they want it decided sooner rather than later before Capano's momentum is more than they think they can handle.

  9. Capano is a legend in his own mind. McCabe will get over 70%

  10. If John, Liam, or both drop out there will definitely be new candidates on the Republican side, if they all stay in there will still probably be new candidates. As for the story about the Bridgeview Diner I think GM should get some additional confirmation about it...

  11. The Post was about a Bay Ridge leader, Linda Sarsour, and her recognition that has her poised her to become a national leader. Not a bunch of fat white guys with comb overs in a diner.

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 9:55 AM" AND "... 10:11 AM"

MY >>> SECOND SOURCE <<< CONFIRMED THE MEETING --- AND I'M HOPING FOR MORE FROM MY FIRST SOURCE, SOON

In an E-mail that's just minutes old, a SECOND SOURCE just told me that they counldn't betray the confidence of somebody who was >>> present at the Donovan-Golden-Quaglione-McCabe-Bridgeview-Meeting yesterday <<< and that "...someone there..." gave my source the straight skinny about what happened there and what went on.....

Also, I am pressing my FIRST SOURCE for more details of the meeting, which I'm pretty sure were being held back from me -- yesterday.....

So, when I find out more --- you'll find out more.....

  13. I thought this item was about Sarsour Gale? Anyway, as long as we are meandering through topics the DNC just elected another Clinton/Obama hack as its chair. 2020 will be a breeze for the GOP.

  15. UPDATE: THE “YOU ASKED FOR IT --- HOW CAN I RESIST ! ! !” EDITION

GETTING BACK ONTO THE SUBJECT OF SARSOUR

SARSOUR POUNDS CAPANO, CAPANO POUNDS BACK & ALSO SHOWS HE CAN STAY ON HIS CAMPAIGN MESSAGING -- THEN SARSOUR'S CROWD GO AFTER BOB AGAIN

Earlier today, Linda Sarsour, the home-grown Bay Ridge Islamist radical went after Republican Bob Capano.....

Capano’s Facebook response to Ms. Sarsour and her coterie was quick and quite succinct --- “Robert Capano… New York…. Just this morning on facebook, Linda Sarsour attacked my candidacy for City Council because I have consistently stood up to her radical and extreme rhetoric. Below are just two examples. I refuse to give in to political correctness by being shy about standing up for what is right. If you agree with me, I hope you will join me at my campaign kick-off fundraiser tomorrow in Bay Ridge at The Bean Post with Curtis Sliwa, John Catsimatidis, Craig Eaton & The Kings County GOP Coalition, or consider making a donation….”

Still weighing in, Sarsour and some of her fellow travelers had this to say about Bob Capano: Rabyaah Althaibani with Cinzia Arruzza and Linda Sarsour…. Sick bigots don't belong in our great city and we will mobilize and organize to get you out of office!!”

So far, Bob Capano has stood out >>> WAY AHEAD OF THE GOP FIELD <<< in calling out LINDA SARSOUR as the ISLAMIST EXTREMIST and LEFT-WING DEMOCRAT that she is….. That last bit in response to Capano's statement above, shows that Sarsour and her allies might well fear that, like Donald Trump in 2016, Capano will win in 2017.....

  16. Capanos thinks his anti Sarsour stuff will score points with GOP primary voters but hes wrong. The GOP wants to win in November and Bobs stuff may play well in Staten Island. In Brooklyn it spells losing in November.

    ReplyDelete
  17. 7:05 has it right. McCabes approach will work in November. Capano an quaglione pandering tough guy stuff lost horribly in two elections in a row. The Republican base is not growing.

    ReplyDelete
  18. at least capano is getting press over the nickel bag stuff. what is quaglione doing?

    ReplyDelete
  19. The left leaning Citizens Union endorsed Quaglione over gentile last time.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Is that what led to Quaglione to predict a huge victory over Gentile in 2013? And, think hard about it, is that what happened in the real world on election day? I'll bet when Quaglione's boss Marty Golden is in one of his nastier moods, he even calls Quaglione 'Councilman.'

    ReplyDelete
  21. Capano never got the Citizens Union

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 10:16 PM" AND "... AT 1:04 AM"

SOME FREE >>> ADVICE <<< TO THESE COMMENTERS AND CANDIDATE JOHN QUAGLIONE --- JUST FORGET THE CITIZENS UNION IN 2013... BRINGING UP ANYTHING ABOUT >>> YOUR 2013 RACE <<< AIN'T GONNA HELP YUH ! ! !

JQ, is the 2013 CU endorsement the best argument that you have to run in 2017 ? ? ?

JQ, how many voters do yo think are going to vote for YOU in 2017 because some bunch of goo-goo busybodies said something nice about you in 2013 ? ? ?

  23. Gail, here's something that does have something to do with the 2017 campaign:

Please join Bob [CAPANO] at his kick-off fundraiser for City Council in Bay Ridge TODAY, Sunday, February 26th (2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.) with special guests Curtis Sliwa, John Catsimatidis, and Craig Eaton.

    Bay Ridge, Brooklyn

    ReplyDelete
  24. A big day for 5th Avenue! I was at the Royal just this morning and I could feel excitement in the air. For today, leading GOP candidate Bob Capano will be hobnobbing with big name radio & TV celebs at the Bean Post and just a few doors down at La Sajjj Restaurant Reverend El-Yateen will launch his historic campaign for City Council. Meanwhile, Liam and Quaglione are home watching Law & Order re-runs.

    ReplyDelete
  25. There will be a lot more excitement at Pastor El-Yateem's launch than at Bob Capano's last ditch effort to remind everyone that at some point in the last decade he lived in Bay Ridge.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I hear Liam will be out and about.

    ReplyDelete
  27. He usually looks like ten miles of bad road on Sundays. Is he drinking again?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Liam will be waiting at the Verrazano Toll Booth with balloons to welcome Bob to Bay Ridge!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think the critical point being overlooked about the respected citizen union endorsement of John Quaglione is that they almost always endorse liberal democrat incumbents but not with Quaglione.

    ReplyDelete
  30. So imagine if Quaglione didn't get that "vaunted" endorsement. Could he really have done worse than the 34% he wound up getting? And his pathetic 34% overtook Bob Capano's previous record of 39% being the worst result ever for a Bay Ridge City Council candidate.

    ReplyDelete
  31. So..... I just got back from Father El Yateen's fundraiser party. People came bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. It was PAAA--AAACKED with lots of clergy. He's got the priest vote locked down.

Then I past by the Bean Post on my way back home and saw Capano and his wife loading trays of uneaten baked ziti into their Toyota Prius. I guess they were getting ready for the drive back home to Tottenville after another failure of an event. I saw Ron Kuby there to

  32. BACKFILL: THE "... SPITE OF BOB CAPANO'S BEST EFFORTS" EDITION

LINDA SARSOUR LOOKS LIKE SHE MIGHT BE GOING OUT IN STYLE & ON TOP --- AND WITH "CITY & STATE" CALLING HER ONE OF ITS WINNERS OF THE WEEK

After all of the smashing and crashing, and thrashing and mashing and bashing and plain old sassing by all her local opponents, along with many critics near and far, Linda Sarsour is going to sachet right off the local stage into something that is probably bigger and better..... Or as the TV series that spun off from "All in the Family" back in the 70s & 80s sang out at the beginning of the show, Sarsour is figuratively ".... Movin' on up to the East Side, to a deluxe apartment in the sky... Movin on up to the East Side, we finally got a piece of the pie...."

The part of the "City & State" piece that highlights Ms. Sarsour's ascendancy is just a few lines, but it's probably enough to say it all --- ".... Linda Sarsour – The Brooklyn-based Muslim activist, no stranger to online harassment, started the week reporting threats of a man hoping to find her and “spit in her face.” Instead of hiding, her next move to was to lead a crowdfunding effort to repair a vandalized Jewish cemetery in Missouri. She got great press, perfectly timed as she leaves her longtime position at the Arab American Association of New York for a more national role...." (See "WINNERS & LOSERS 2/24/17"
by City & State Staff, 2/23/17, City & State New York/ Winners & Losers [http://cityandstateny.com/articles/personality/winners-and-losers/winners-and-losers-2/24/17.html#.WLUeETvyvIV]).

The old Dem wag that sent me that link had this to say about it: "Sarsour won this election" He also told me that he knows people like Sarsour very well, they are all about their grants, so follow the money (Some of my regular blog readers know this Dem wag pretty well, he probably puts more comments up here on this blog than anybody else. Although he's always tagged as "Anonymous..." -- he is well known as Nosey Parker's brother, Sunset.....)
