The following piece appeared a couple of days ago on a much more glamorous and well-regarded Brooklyn-related Republican blog than mine. After intense negotiations, and a significant exchange of good and valuable consideration, I secured the permission of the author to reprint it here on my blog. In so doing, I hope to enhance the prestige as well as the credibility of my humble and independent bit o' internet jibbuh-jabbah-jiye.....

Why Donald Trump is Kickin' Ass and Takin' Names
by Russell Gallo
_________________________________To so many of my Pseudo-Conservative /RINO /Establishment /Liberal "friends", this question is persistent, baffling and scaring the shit out of them.
The answer is quite simple. As a matter of fact, President George W. Bush pretty much summed it up quite "brilliantly" when he said "There's an old saying in Tennessee, I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee that says, 'Fool me once, shame on ... shame on you. Fool me... You can't get fooled again!'"
For so many election cycles, Republicans have been running on issues that the American people agree with them on and winning. However, once in office they do not fight the good fight. They cite reasons like not having control over one or both houses of Congress, not having a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and not controlling the White House as reasons not to pass or even propose legislation.
But a quick look back into history shows that even when the Republican Party controlled the entire federal government under George W. Bush they didn't follow through on any of their promises. They even allowed moderate justices onto the Supreme Court!
This time around we have several real conservative candidates running for office BUT the American people (Republicans primarily but a significant portion of Democrats and Independents) don't trusTed (not a typo) them.
[(In Original) LINK TO SEE WHAT NEW HAMPSHIRE SHOWED US]
What New Hampshire Showed Us
First of all, New Hampshire has gotten the GOP candidate right 14 of the last 17 election cycles while only getting the Democrat candidate right 6 of the same last 17 cycles.... Trump won every demographic on the Republican side and received more raw votes than Hillary Clinton.... New Hampshire allows Independent voters to vote in primaries giving a more accurate view into how these same voters will vote in a General Election.... If all outsider candidates dropped today, where would their voters go? Most to Trump and some to Cruz. Even the candidates that are being labeled "establishment" (Rubio, Kasich, Christie) are more conservative than any candidates fielded by the Republican Party for President in quite some time and ALL of them have adopted watered-down versions of policies that Trump has brought to the forefront.... The problem for them is "...that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!"Trump On The Issues That Piss Off Real Americans And Scare The S#!T Out Of The Left
On Immigration
"What can be simpler or more accurately stated? The Mexican Government is forcing their most unwanted people into the United States. They are, in many cases, criminals, drug dealers, rapists, etc."... "I'm gonna say, 'Mexico, this is not going to continue, you're going to pay for that wall,' and they will pay for the wall."... "New Hampshire has a tremendous drug epidemic, I am going to create borders. No drugs are coming in. We're going to build a wall. You know what I'm talking about. You have confidence in me. Believe me, I will solve the problem."
On Terrorism
"When you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families, they care about their lives, don't kid yourselves. But they say they don't care about their lives. You have to take out their families."... “I would bring back waterboarding and I’d bring back a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding.”... "ISIS is making a tremendous amount of money because they have certain oil caps, right? They have certain areas of oil that they took away, they have some in Syria, some in Iraq. I would bomb the shit out of 'em[.]"
Gallo's Analysis
In October 2014 and September 2015, I outlined plans for Republicans to win elections nationally. For those of you that know me, you know that I do not pull punches. I agree with Ronald Reagan when he said.... “Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?”Who fits that bill? The answer is simple. Donald Trump.
We have heard politicians say they want to "build a wall" and "defeat terrorists and evil doers." It has been almost 15 years since 9/11 and we are arguably worse off now despite controlling Congress and the White House intermittently since then.
In steps Donald Trump...

ReplyDeleteIt is a terrible shame that he has fallen under the spell of a vile and reprehensible con artist like Donald Trump.
Trump represents the worst in America: a loud, angry, meanspirited and tacky blowhard who is prone to lash out at anyone and everyone.
Giving Trump the nuclear launch codes and control of America's military would be a death sentence for our nation, and probably the rest of humanity.
I feel bad for you, Russ. You've clearly lost your way.
Trump is winning because the opposition is split. One on one 31% ain't much.
ReplyDeleteIn the end:
ReplyDeleteCruz will be deported
Rubio will go back and get his GED
Carson will sit down
Bush will get a real job
Trump will be committed to a nuthouse with other red headed freaks
Not surprised that Russ Gallo supports Trump. Gallo is the worst kind of self serving Republican around. Extremely selfish and even more divisive just like Trump. He and his co-pilot are the main reason that Craig Eaton is on the outside looking in.
ReplyDeleteRuss gallo and craig are no longer in brooklyn gop politics.
ReplyDeleteCraig and Russ are out of GOP politics in Brooklyn and now we are running quality candidates throughout the county and increasing participation in the process!
ReplyDeleteBrooklyn has been out of GOP politics since the 50's
ReplyDeleteVery soon ted ghorra will win more local races in brooklyn in 2 years than craig did in 8.
ReplyDeleteThe real tragedy is I just loaned Scalia money
ReplyDeleteThe only races Ted Ghorra will ever win involve running shoes.
ReplyDeleteTG will be making a splash leading and winning a local race in Brooklyn VERY soon!!
ReplyDeleteThe only splash TG will be making is in the Hudson.....he drank the Golden - Kassar Kool-Aid and thinks he is going to be able to win races. The truth is, Golden and Kassar do not want any other republican elected officials in Brooklyn...they tolerate Malliotakis (although any time she steps out of line they scream - remember a few years ago, when she didnt toe the line they took her name off the door at the Office) and are OK with Donovan because his GPS doesnt have Brooklyn on it.
ReplyDeleteAs for winning races, when Eaton came in as Chairman in 2007(??) there was Golden and Fossella. During his tenure Malliotakis won the Assembly Seat, Brooklyn won two special elections - Turner and Storobin - and Golden and Grimm/Donovan won.
Get your facts straight....
What happened to Arnaldo?
ReplyDeleteGood question, i havent heard anything from ferraro. Is craig still the se facto brooklyn GOP leader?
ReplyDeleteIn response to 8:48am, you are 100% correct.
ReplyDeleteHere is how I see it:
Eaton was doing a great job, until Golden stole the BOE Commissioner spot and threatened all of the BOE employees - remember 2013.
He was then told by old man Golden that he needed to become Golden's boy....like Testaverde, Q, Kassar and the rest of the old-fat white men.
Eaton stood up to Golden and beat him twice in 2013....then in 2015....and will then again in 2016....
Anonymous at 7:24....dont pick on Ghorra..after all he was on a committee to fill vacancies once..isnt that being an active Republican?
ReplyDelete9:57am
ReplyDelete2016?????
RESPONSE: THE "LET ME JUST JUMP IN" EDITION
ReplyDeleteYES, 2016 !!!
Just like Republican State Senator Marty Golden, and his supporting cast of gunzels and castrati, dragged his 2013 losing effort to takeover the Brooklyn GOP from 2013 into 2014, Golden and his harem of butt-boys are dragging SSMG's losing 2015 effort into 2016.
The question begs.... RG is right!
