THE LA TIMES CONTAINS AN ARTICLE ABOUT "FEMINISM" - "FEMINISTS" & "NOT SUPPORTING HILLARY CLINTON" BY COLLEEN SHALBY THAT MIGHT BE >>> THE BEGINNING OF THE END FOR HILLARY AND HER RUN FOR THE PRESIDENCY
IT'S MORE LIKE A SPLINTER THAN A STAKE IN THE HEART --- BUT WHO THINKS THAT A SPLINTER IN THE HEART OF THE HILLARY CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT CAN'T BE FATAL TO THE EFFORT IN THE LONG RUN ???
According to Colleen Shalby, writing for the LA Times, today, "... Bernie Sanders likes to say Hillary Clinton represents the establishment — a criticism we have heard in debates and on the campaign trail.... 'Honestly, Senator Sanders is the only person who I think would characterize me, a woman running to be the first woman president, as exemplifying the establishment,' Clinton retorted. 'It’s really quite amusing to me.'... Clinton has actively fought that establishment label, using language designed to appeal to feminists. But it hasn’t worked, at least not with younger women. As Evan Halper reported, Clinton is losing the female millennial vote to Sanders. The most recent example came from the Iowa caucuses, as women ages 18 to 29 preferred Sanders.... Why?" (See "Readers React -- You can still be a feminist and vote against Hillary Clinton" by Colleen Shalby, 2/7/16, LA TIMES/ Politics [http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-pol-prez-hillary-clinton-feminism-millennial-vote-20160207-story.html]).
After going through the comments of many "feminists," who are NOT FOR HILLARY CLINTON, Colleen Shalby finishes with what seems to be HER conclusion: ".... For many, when it comes down to it, the vote for or against Clinton has nothing to do with feminism."
This is one small article, but what it says is big, Big, BIG..... If the HRC campaign continues NOT TO INSPIRE FEMINISTS, ESPECIALLY YOUNG FEMINISTS, TO VOTE FOR HER, then Hillary is toast on a stick, and even Larry "Bud" Mellman and Dave Letterman won't be able to peddle her.
This is whats going on.
ReplyDeleteWoman don't like to be told what to do, especially by someone old enough to be their grandmother.
Madeline "I cant believe I'm a Jew" Albright, and, Gloria "I can't believe I'm only half a Jew" Steinem lecturing woman that Hillary "I cant believe I'm not a Jew" Clinton is owed their support like they are calling in a student loan ain't gonna work.
Hey, Jocko, jeez, what's with all the talk about "Jews" not believing things? Are you reading "Searchlight" again?
ReplyDeleteGail's gonna be pissed, you know.
I suspect the first comment was posted by Marty "Why Do I have a Jew name" Golden

BREAKING WITH PC FOR A HUMOROUS PURPOSE MIGHT BE ACCEPTABLE -- THE REFERENCES TO ALBRIGHT AND STEINEM DO GO BACK TO SOME OF THE THINGS THAT THEY ONCE SAID.... HOWEVER, USING THE SAME FORMULATION BEYOND THAT THREE -- AND THEN, FOUR TIMES -- TEARS THE ENVELOPE OF CIVILITY

UPDATE: THE "SO -- ON 'MEET THE PRESS' -- HILLARY LAUGHS-OFF MADELEINE ALBRIGHT'S 'SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL' REMARK" EDITION
ReplyDeleteFOR THOSE WHO MISSED IT, FORMER SECRETARY OF STATE MADELEINE ALBRIGHT THINKS IT'S PERFECTLY "ALL RIGHT" TO SAY THAT CERTAIN WOMEN SHOULD GO TO A SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL IF THEY DON'T SUPPORT HILLARY CLINTON'S RUN FOR THE PRESIDENCY.... ACCORDING TO HILLARY, MADELEINE HAS BEEN SAYING THAT FOR A LONG TIME AND SHE REALLY BELIEVES IT....
SOME HAVE TAKEN EXCEPTION TO THOSE REMARKS --- SO THIS MORNING ON MTP, CHUCK TODD CONFRONTED FORMER SECRETARY OF STATE HILLARY CLINTON ABOUT HER FRIEND FORMER SECRETARY OF STATE MADELEINE ALBRIGHT'S COMMENTS....
What did Hillary do ??? --- She laughed....
What did Hillary say ??? --- She said -- People are getting upset about everything, nowadays.... They have to understand that Madeleine has been my friend for a long time, and she has been saying that for a long time and she really believes it.... [AND THAT MAKES IT ALL RIGHT ?????]
Read about and/or see, all for yourself, the actual quotes and how Hillary looked and acted (See "Hillary Laughs Off ‘There’s A Special Place In Hell’ For Women Who Don’t Vote For Her Comment" by Steve Guest, 2/7/16 [with video link to segment Hillary Clinton interview on 2/7/16 Meet the Press with Chuck Todd], Daily Caller [http://dailycaller.com/2016/02/07/hillary-laughs-off-theres-a-special-place-in-hell-for-women-who-dont-vote-for-me-comment-video/]).
Goodbye Marco !!
ReplyDeleteRESPONSE: THE "WHAT'S WRONG WITH A STEPFORD CANDIDATE" EDITION
ReplyDeleteMARCO RUBIO WAS VERY DISCIPLINED AND VERY "ON MESSAGE" -- HE THINKS IT'S VERY IMPORTANT FOR EVERYBODY TO KNOW THAT PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA INTENDED TO DO EVERYTHING THAT HE DID
Just because Chris Christie got snarky and said, "... and there it is...."; so what ???
BTW, Marco Rubio intended to do everything that he did at the debate; so why isn't that presidential ???
AND WHAT ABOUT THIS --- How many times in the last couple of days did Christie talk about Rubio's answers being a "... drive-by opening with false facts, followed by a three minute segment from his routine speech..." ??? My guess is it's way more than four times.
NH is all about the race for second place.
ReplyDeleteIts not going to be Cruz, Fiorina, Bush, Rubio, or that fat Clemenza. I meant Christi.
UPDATE: THE "NOW --- IT'S THE WASHINGTON POST DOING A FRONT PAGE ARTICLE" EDITION
ReplyDeleteTHE FRONT PAGE WA-PO ARTICLE SAYS: ".... ON THE EVE OF THE NEW HAMPSHIRE PRIMARY, HILLARY CLINTON... IS HAVING TROUBLE PERSUADING WOMEN, YOUNG AND OLD, TO RALLY BEHIND HER CAUSE...."
WITH TWO STORIES IN MAJOR NEWSPAPERS IN QUICK SUCCESSION >>> BOTH DISCUSSING HILLARY'S PROBLEMS ATTRACTING THE SUPPORT OF FEMINIST AND OTHER WOMEN VOTERS <<< IT STARTS LOOKING LIKE A TREND
According to afront page article by rwo women Washington Post writers appearing in the Monday print edition, "On the eve of the New Hampshire primary, Hillary Clinton’s quest to become the country’s first female president has encountered an unexpected problem: she is having trouble persuading women, young and old, to rally behind her cause...." ( See "Clinton looks to sisterhood, but votes may go to Sanders" by Abby Phillip & Frances Stead Sellers,2/7/16, Washington Post/ Politics [https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2016/02/07/8c73740c-c50a-11e5-a4aa-f25866ba0dc6_story.html]).
The authors of the article also noted this in their leading paragraphs: ".... The latest sign came Sunday, when a new CNN/WMUR survey here showed Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont beating Clinton among women by eight points — which represents a big shift from the results last week in the Iowa caucuses, where Clinton won women by 11 points.... Clinton’s struggles with women underscore the extent to which she has not yet figured out how to harness the history-making potential of her candidacy in the same way that Barack Obama mobilized ...."
The WaPo writers, Abby Phillip & Frances Stead Sellers, pointed out that the survey mentioned above followed problematic comments over the weekend by Madeleine Albright and Gloria Steinem, older feminist trailblazers who were trying to encourage younger women to support Clinton.
"Madeleine Albright, the first ever female Secretary of State, told supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton that 'there's a special place in hell' for women who don't help each other...." Following its mention of those harsh remarks by Secretary Albright, the Washington Post front page article took special note of this response by the candidate herself: ".... In an appearance on NBC’s 'Meet the Press' on Sunday, Clinton defended Albright, saying that her words were a 'lighthearted but very pointed remark, which people can take however they choose.'...”
The Washington Post piece is small potatoes compared to New York Times cover story just posted.
ReplyDeleteToday Bill Clinton lambasted Bernie Sanders today for being corrupt and dishonest. Bill pointed to some data mistakenly sent to Sanders headquarters and Sanders staffer opened the e mail.
Sounds like real corruption to me.
Bill didn't say anything about the 118 million dollars he made for speeches to groups with business at the State Department.
NR says Rubio is finished.
ReplyDeleteI agree
The Times story made Bill Clinton seem old, and pathetic and out of the swing of things.
ReplyDeleteUPDATE: THE "ALBRIGHT-STEINEM GAFFS MAKE THE NY TIMES FRONT PAGE" EDITION
ReplyDeleteWELL, IT'S HAPPENED --- HILLARY CLINTON'S "FEMALE PROBLEMS" HAVE HIT THE FRONT PAGE OF THE NEW YORK TIMES --- THE MSM SEEMS TO BE TURNING ON HILLARY BECAUSE OF HER ATTEMPT TO USE WOMEN & FEMINISM AS HER LAST LINE OF DEFENSE AGAINST BERNIE SANDERS
According to a NY Times front page story in today's print editions, both former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and another 60s & 70s era feminist, Gloria Steinem, commited major gaffs in attacking women for not being there for Hillary Clinton's campaign --- and now they're trying to backtrack and backfill ( See "Gloria Steinem and Madeleine Albright Rebuke Young Women Backing Bernie Sanders" by Alan Rappaport, 2/7/16 [front page 2/8/16 print editions], NY Times/ Election 2016 [http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/08/us/politics/gloria-steinem-madeleine-albright-hillary-clinton-bernie-sanders.html?_r=0]).
The Rappaport article also noted that polling and annecdotal data indicate that Hillary Clinton is having a very difficult time connecting with young women and is trying to make adjustments with her campaign to fix that; and things like the Albright-Steinem fiasco aren't helpful for that.
Now it's three major papers (plus lessr outlets) across the country that have slammed HRC on this point --- the MSM looks like it is trending against Hillary's attempt to use a feminist wedge against Bernie
Christie may be # 2 coming out of NH.
ReplyDeleteRubio is in a free fall.
Bill Clinton is calling Bernie Sanders supporters sexist.
ReplyDeleteThe optics of Bill calling a bunch of milenial girls sexist ain't going to work.
That's rich !!
THE "FBI'S LETTER ABOUT HILLARY CLINTON'S E-MAILS" EDITION
ReplyDeleteFBI RESPONSE IN FOIA CASE PUTS LIE TO THE CLAIMS OF HILLARY CLINTON AND HER CAMPAIGN THAT FBI INQUIRIES WERE A "SECURITY REVIEW" --- FBI CALLS IT PART OF "... ON-GOING LAW ENFORCEMENT EFFORTS..."
"...in a letter dated February 2 and filed in court Monday, the FBI’s general counsel, James Baker, notes that in public statements and congressional testimony, the FBI 'has acknowledged generally that it is working on matters related to former Secretary Clinton’s use of a private email server.'... Baker says the FBI has not, however, “publicly acknowledged the specific focus, scope or potential targets of any such proceedings.” He ends the one-paragraph letter by saying that the FBI cannot say more 'without adversely affecting on-going law enforcement efforts.'...” (See "FBI Makes It Official: Hillary Rodham Clinton Is Under Investigation" by Michael Walsh, 2/8/16, PJ Media/ Trending [https://pjmedia.com/trending/2016/02/08/fbi-makes-it-official-hillary-rodham-clinton-is-under-investigation/]).
Now that NBC has refused to renew my contract for election analyses, I'll share it with Gails desciples.
ReplyDeleteSanders put Hillary in the intensive care unit. Prognosis is under seal.
Trump thanked relatives who were home sleeping. Why do we watch this guy?
Kasich is the winner, for now. And, hes news, for now.
Cruz is Cruzing on and Cruzing well after 3rd place.

Christie is out. Trenton is beautiful this time of year.
Fiorina will stay in long enough to personally fire all her staff.
Oh, I forgot Ben Carson, along with everyone else.
