Hillary Clinton's latest E-mails eruption -- Possibly the Worst, to date -- And its timing couldn't be worse, for Iowa

AP reported that the Obama Administration completely clamped down on twenty-two (22) super-secret E-mails in the latest "release" by the U.S. State Department

HILLARY CLINTON AND HER CAMPAIGN GO INTO FULL "DAMAGE CONTROL" MODE ---   HOWEVER,  HRC'S AND HER CAMPAIGN'S CURRENT DEMANDS THAT THE U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT  IMMEDIATELY RELEASE THE FORMER SECRETARY OF STATE'S TWENTY-TWO (22) "TOP SECRET" E-MAILS DEMONSTRATES HER COMPLETE LACK OF CONCERN FOR THE CLASSIFICATION OF SECRET COMMUNICATIONS OR THIS COUNTRY'S ESPIONAGE LAWS

According to a report in Newsmax  ---   "The Obama administration has confirmed for the first time that Hillary Clinton's home server contained closely guarded government secrets, censoring 22 emails that contained material requiring one of the highest levels of classification. The revelation came three days before Clinton competes in the Iowa presidential caucuses....    State Department officials also said the agency's Diplomatic Security and Intelligence and Research bureaus are investigating if any of the information was classified at the time of transmission, going to the heart of Clinton's defense of her email practices....  The department published its latest batch of emails from her time as secretary of state Friday evening....  ( See "'Top Secret' Info Found in Clinton Emails" by Newsmax Staff from AP feed,  1/30/16, Newsmax/   [http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/US-Clinton-Emails/2016/01/29/id/711904/]).

OTHER NOTABLE FACTS MENTIONED BY THE AP

The Associated Press learned ahead of the State Department's Friday release that seven (7) "email chains"  would be withheld in full from any release to the public, because those "..chains" -- totalling twenty-two (22) E-mails  contained "top secret" information.  The E-mails covered thirty-seven (37) pages; and they included messages a key intelligence official recently said involved "special access programs" — highly restricted, super-classified material that could point to confidential sources or clandestine programs like drone strikes.

IN A LATER ARTICLE, NEWSMAX SHOWED THE HILLARY CAMP GOING INTO FULL DAMAGE CONTROL MODE

In what would be a sidebar story if Newsmax were done in a broadsheet format, the Republican-leaning news blog said the following:  "With the Iowa caucus just days away, Hillary Clinton and her presidential campaign quickly went into damage-control mode over the State Department's decision to withhold 22 emails containing "top secret" information found in emails on the private server she used while secretary of state....   'I never emailed anything that was considered to be classified,'  Clinton, the Democratic front-runner, told Dubuque, Iowa ABC affiliate KCRG on Friday, maintaining that she wants the withheld emails to be released....   'I'd love for people to see what I did and I hope that will happen,' Clinton commented in the interview....   The Friday afternoon interview came as her campaign was issuing an official statement about the emails, in which it insists that she wants them released, not withheld by the State Department...."  (See  "Clinton Camp in Damage-Control Mode Over 'Top Secret' Emails" by By Sandy Fitzgerald, 1/30/16,  Newsmax/Home/ Headline [http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/hillary-clinton-damage-control/2016/01/30/id/711965/]).

HILLARY CLINTON & THE CLINTON CAMPAIGN PROVE THAT THEY DON'T CARE ONE WIT ABOUT NATIONAL SECURITY AND/OR THE CLASSIFICATION OF SECRET COMMUNICATIONS

By calling on the U.S. State Department to immediately release all of her E-mails, including the ones classified as "TOP SECRET" --  Hillary Clinton, the presidential candidate, has again demonstrated for everybody to see that she does not pay any heed to the classification status of top secret material.  In fact, Hillary Clinton, along with her campaign, is telling the U.S. State Department  to violate the espionage laws of the United States by releasing the 22 E-mails indisputably NOW classified as "top secret";  and again she is doing it for her own convenience to benefit her faltering campaign.
Can there be any doubt that her current attitude is exactly the same as what made her  put this confidential material onto her non-secure private server in the first place  --  or  --  when she told her aides to strip out the security information on the headers of certain classified documents before sending them to her on her private E-mail system.

  1. Are we supposed to believe the timing of this is just a coincidence?

The White House takes a major shit all over the Clinton operation 2 days before Iowa.

My sixth sense tells me that check from the Clinton foundation never got to the Obama library.

  3. Gail, why are you and everybody else ignoring the 18 additional emails directly from the White House that are being withheld because of some kind of principle of deliberative or executive privilege?

  4. UPDATE: THE "AT LAST --- BERNIE SANDERS GETS IT --- HILLARY'S E-MAILS SCANDAL IS 'A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE' " EDITION

WHEN ASKED IF HIS AVOIDANCE OF THE ISSUE MEANT HE THOUGHT HILLARY CLINTON DID NOTHIG WRONG WITH HER E-MAILS --- BERNIE ANSWERED, "NO... NOPE, NOPE.... THAT IS... A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE... THERE IS A LEGAL PROCESS TAKING PLACE... "

According to CNN --- "Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said Sunday that rival Hillary Clinton's email controversy is a 'very serious issue,' even though he has refused to attack the former secretary of state on that front.... Asked Sunday by CNN's Jake Tapper on 'State of the Union' whether voters should interpret his refusal to engage Clinton on the email issue to mean that Clinton did nothing wrong, Sanders replied with a firm, 'No.'... 'Nope, nope. That is not, I think, a fair assessment. That is, I think, a very serious issue,' Sanders said. 'There is a legal process taking place, I do not want to politicize that issue. It is not my style.'..." Bernie Sanders also told George Stephanopoulos on his ABC Sunday morning show that Hillary Clinton's E-mail problems were a serious matter, but that he didn't want to politicize it.

  7. UPDATE: THE "IT DIDN'T TAKE HILLARY LONG TO LASH BACK AT BERNIE" EDITION

HILLARY SAYS SHE'S DISAPPOINTED THAT BERNIE SANDERS HAS TURNED "NEGATIVE" AND "PERSONAL"

EVEN THOUGH BERNIE SANDERS WAS BEING ASKED DIRECT QUESTIONS BY MEMBERS OF THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA ABOUT THINGS LIKE BENGHAZI AND HILLARY'S E-MAIL PROBLEMS --- SHE DOESN'T LIKE THAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT THOSE THINGS OR EVEN HER RELATIONS WITH THE WALL STREET BANKS

Earlier today on "Good Morning America" Hillary Clinton accused Bernie Sanders of "going negative" and "getting personal" in the latest stages of the campaign in Iowa and New Hampshire. She contrasted that to earlier in the campaign when she says Sanders stuck to the issues facing the American people.

  8. UPDATE: THE "HILLARY GETS WA-PO PINOCCHIOS FOR HER E-MAIL EXCUSES" EDITION

THE WASHINGTON POST'S "FACT CHECKER" FINDS THAT HILLARY'S EXPLANATIONS FOR HER E-MAIL MESS DON'T HOLD WATER -- SHE GETS TWO PINOCCHIOS [FOR NOW, UNTIL WE FIND OUT WHAT'S ACTUALLY IN THE "TOP SECRET" E-MAILS]

WA-PO "FACT CHECKER" SAYS HILLARY'S EXCUSE THAT MATERIAL WAS NOT MARKED CLASSIFIED IS A "RED HERRING"

According to the Wa-Po's fact checker Glenn Kessler's lengthy analysis and critique on today's internet feed:
"Many readers continue to ask questions about Hillary Clinton’s private email set-up and whether or not she mishandled classified information. We have looked at this issue in the past, but the reader interest spiked again after the revelation that seven email chains contained “Top Secret” information and would not be released.... As the saga has dragged on, Clinton’s terminology has become ever more nuanced. When she first discussed her private-email arrangement in detail last March, her staff distributed a Q&A which flatly stated that no classified material was sent or received by Clinton at her private email address. Now she says the emails were not marked classified: 'When you receive information, of course, there has to be some markings, some indication that someone down the chain thought that this was classified and that was not the case.'... Finally, we come to Clinton’s excuse—that none of the emails were marked classified. This is a bit of a red herring. Anything marked classified could not be sent through an unclassified system—and officials are supposed to know enough about the sensitivity of communications to recognize material that could be considered classified under the executive order.... The Clinton campaign has argued that some intelligence officials are now engaged in a game of overclassification. That could well be the case; it’s impossible to know without access to emails that may not be released for years. But this debate would not even be taking place without the decision to set up the private server in the first place....
