AP POLL MEANS MORE BAD NEWS FOR HILLARY --- ANOTHER BAD DAY IN ANOTHER BAD WEEK

If the polls were sharks, and Hillary Clinton sailed  into the most recent AP poll, she would need a bigger boat

After roll-out-after- roll-out- after- roll-out  ---  The AP-Gfk   poll says 49% of Americans don't like Hillary Clinton and only 39% like her

People seem to think that Hillary can't identify with them and that she lacks compassion

This looks like it might be another bad week foe Hillary  ---  Exactly how many has that been in a row ? ? ?

According to a report early today on the Yahoo News blog, "More Americans now have an unfavorable than a favorable view of Hillary Rodham Clinton, according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll that finds negative ratings of the former secretary of state have increased over the past few months, especially among Democrats...."  (See "AP-GfK Poll: Americans view Clinton, Republicans unfavorably" by Emily Swason, 7/16/15, Yahoo News/ AP [http://news.yahoo.com/ap-gfk-poll-americans-view-clinton-republicans-unfavorably-071925104--election.html]).  According to this report, digging into the numbers makes things look even worse. for Clinton and her campaign.

"CLINTON'S RATINGS DROPPING"  -- AP

Only thirty-nine percent (39%)  Americans have a favorable view of Clinton, while forty-nine  percent (49%) have an unfavorable view, according to the new survey. In an AP-GfK poll conducted at the end of April, forty-six percent (46%) had a favorable opinion and just forty-one  percent (41%) had an unfavorable opinion of Clinton.

EVEN AMONG DEMOCRATS

The percentage of Democrats giving Clinton favorable ratings dropped from eighty-one  percent  (81%0  in the April poll to seventy percent (70%) in  July.   Also, now nearly one quarter of Democrats  say they see Clinton in an unfavorable light. Positive ratings of Clinton also fell among men, from forty-four percent (44%)  to thirty-four (34%) percent.  And only forty-five percent (45%) of women Democrats  were counted as having favorable views of Hillary.

HILLARY SEEN AS  "NOT COMPASSIONATE"  --  TO MANY,  HILLARY SEEMS  MUCH LESS COMPASSIONATE NOW THAN OBAMA DID IN 2008

Perhaps most concerning for Hillary Clinton and her supporters, only  forty percent (40%)  of Americans in the recent AP poll say the word "compassionate" describes her at least somewhat well, while fifty-eight percent (58%)  say it describes her only slightly well or less.  By contrast, in 2008,  fifty-six percent  (56%) of Americans considered presidential candidate Barack Obama to be at least somewhat compassionate.

  2. Grimm and Hillary have a few things in common. Both talked about spending their whole life doing good things for others. Both are greedy. Both would have been better people and better public servants if they didn't turn to the dark side because of their greed, leading to so many evil deeds that they had to get caught at something eventually. Surely, both have lots of blood on their hands. At some point in their runs, they used the inevitability of winning argument as part of their justification to continue running in spite of the serious charges against them. Both claimed to be innocent of wrongdoing in the face of strong evidence of their guilt. Both claimed that the charges against them were politically motivated and attacked their prosecutors as part of their defense. Both depended on the help of strong men who held the same office that they wanted to have as their own personal possession. Both needed an entourage to stay out of trouble and get even the simplest things right. BOTH HAVE VERY UNUSUAL EYES.

One very big difference between the two, the day Hillary gets sentenced it will be a much bigger story.

  3. UPDATE: THE "HUMA IS NEWS AGAIN" EDITION

HUMA ABEDIN IS TOP-PAID PERSON IN HILLARY CLINTON'S CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT

ANOTHER PROBLEMATIC CHARACTER NEAR TOP OF GROUP TRYING TAKE OVER THE WHITE HOUSE

According to an article that appeared in the Weekly Standard, "The top paid employee on Hillary Clinton's campaign is Huma Abedin. According to Federal Election Commission disclosures released this week, Abedin was paid $69,263.09 in the first quarter of the campaign.... By contrast, the chairman of the Clinton campaign, John Podesta, received only $3,586.00.... Robby Mook, the campaign manager, made $27,625.80.... Jennifer Palmieri, the communications director, pulled in a tidy $31,710.91.... The Clinton campaign has continuously insisted it is cheap. The FEC disclosure report suggests otherwise...." (See "Huma Abedin Paid $69,263 in First Quarter of Clinton Campaign" by Daniel Halper, 7/17/15, Weekly Standard/ The Blog [http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/huma-abedin-paid-69263-first-quarter-clinton-campaign_992407.html]).

Huma Abedin has worked for Hillary Clinton for the last two decades. She is emerging as a "Gray Eminence" behind Hillary Clinton, much like Obama's Valerie Jarrett. Similar to Jarrett, Huma Abedin has her own [past?] involvement with problematic organizations -- in Huma's case, multiple entanglements with the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamic organizations. She is also married to the disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner.

  4. BACKFILL: THE "EVEN WITH HUMA --- IT'S ABOUT BENGHAZI AND THE E-MAILS" EDITION

TREY GOWDY WANTS HUMA ABEDIN TO TESTIFY ABOUT HILLARY CLITON'S EMAILS

STATE DEPARTMENT SAYS IT'S WAITING ON HUMA AEDIN FOR HER RECORDS

According to the Washington Post, "Republicans leading the charge to investigate #Benghazi are closing in on Hillary Clinton’s inner circle.... Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) disclosed Monday that he plans to interview three of Clinton’s top advisers: Huma Abedin, a longtime Clinton aide; Cheryl Mills, Clinton’s former chief of staff; and Jake Sullivan, a former director of policy planning at the State Department. Gowdy, who leads the House Select Committee on Benghazi, said there are others on the list but he will not release their names 'given the nature of their work.'..." (See "Gowdy wants to grill Huma Abedin about Benghazi" by Elise Viebeck, 7/7/15, The Washington Post [http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2015/07/07/gowdy-wants-to-grill-huma-abedin-about-benghazi/]).

The Post also noted that ".... Republican lawmakers rarely have direct access to Clinton aides — Abedin specifically has been a magnet for suspicion on the right. But when the interviews will take place remains up in the air. An aide to Gowdy, Jamal Ware, emailed that the panel intends to set up interviews “as expeditiously as possible” once the State Department supplies more of the trio’s email correspondence...."

Meanwhile, according to a report in Politico, the U.S. State Department indidcated that ".... Former Clinton Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin is in the process of responding to State's request for records in her control, but [ ] does not say explicitly what records if any she has turned over so far...." 6. FLASH: THE " 'MEXICAN ?' BORN IN THE USA AND RUNNING HILLARY CLINTON'S CAMPAIGN" EDITION

DID AMANDA RENTERIA, CLINTON'S NATIONAL POLITICAL DIRECTOR, GIVE AWAY TOO MUCH ABOUT HER BEING A "LATINA FIRST" WHEN SHE SAID HER BOYS WERE "MEXICAN"

Both Renteria and her sons were born in the USA, they are U.S. citizens --- so why did she call them "Mexican" in her interview by Mark Halperin and Margaret Talev for Bloomberg ?
The remarks were quite prominent in the long version of the interview. The exchange was initiated by Margaret Talev's repeated questions about Donald Trump. (See "Working for Clinton: Meet the Brooklyn Staffers" ["boys... Mexican" at @ 8:00min mark] 7/16/15, Bloomberg Business [http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/videos/2015-07-16/working-for-clinton-meet-the-brooklyn-staffers]; also [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbvBSdN2hFc]).

Amanda Renteria was a controversial choice for such a high place on the Clinton Team and in the formal campaign apparatus. Even though, Renteria has some street cred among Mexican Americans and other political groups, because of her work as a Senator's Chief of Staff, and having run for congress; this is her first job in a presidential campaign. Some have predicted that if there were any mistakes high up in the Hillary Clinton operation, the chances are they would be by Renteria.

Under all of the circumstances, calling her second-generation American sons "Mexicans" in the context of questions about Donald Trump's remarks might be one of those mistakes.
