CBS HAS BAD NEWS FOR HILLARY IN ITS LATEST POLLING

Not only does network TV keep the Hillary Clinton E-Mail Fiasco in the news   —   CBS Evening News reports “PLUMMETING POLLS” in wake of revelations about Clinton's exclusive use of private E-Mails while U.S. Secretary of State and unsatisfactory explanation as to why

FEWER THAN HALF OF THOSE POLLED BY CBS SAY THAT HILLARY CLINTON IS “HONEST AND TRUSTWORTHY”  —   AND MORE THAN SIX OUT OF TEN SAY IT WAS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR CLINTON TO USE HER PRIVATE E-MAIL FOR PUBLIC BUSINESS

Thursday night’s broadcast of the “CBS Evening News”said that plummeting polls numbers show  Hillary Clinton’s popularity is in free-fall following the turmoil involving Clinton’s exclusive use of a private email during her tenure as secretary of state and her explanation of what she did and why she did it. Breitbart News reported that the CBS News anchor Scott Pelley said, “That email scandal is taking a toll on Hillary Clinton’s image as she gets ready to run for president (See “CBS NEWS REPORTS ON CLINTON’S PLUMMETING POLLS OVER EMAIL SCANDAL ” by Pam Key [with video link to Scott Pelley’s CBS Evening News segment], 3/26/15, Breitbart News

29% SAY THEY HAVE WORSE OPINION SINCE HILLARY CLINTON'S PRIVATE E-MAIL SYSTEM WAS DISCLOSED

In a CBS News poll out tonight, 29 percent of Americans say their opinion of her has grown worse as a result of revelations that she used her personal email account for State Department business. .

HILLARY'S FAVORABILITY FALLS FROM 38% to 26%

Breitbart and CBS also report that the number of Americans who view her favorably has fallen sharply from 38 percent to 26 percent. And less than half, just 42 percent, say Mrs. Clinton is honest and trustworthy”

LENGTHY AND DETAILED ACCOUNT OF ITS LATEST POLL PROVIDED BY CBS NEWS

CBS News provided a lengthy and detailed account of this particular poll — it provides no good news for Hillary Clinton or her camp followers.  They can spin it if they like, but by every possible metric, Hillary Clinton has taken a big hit (See “What Americans think of Hillary Clinton's email practices” by Sarah Dutton, Jennifer De Pinto, Anthony Salvanto & Fred Backus, 3/26/15, CBS News [http://www.cbsnews.com/news/views-on-hillary-clinton-and-the-email-controversy/]).

According to the CBS News report, “Most Americans (65 percent) say their opinion of Clinton has not changed in the wake of the email controversy, but 29 percent say their opinion of her has grown worse....  More generally, 26 percent of Americans now have a favorable view of Hillary Clinton, while 37 percent view her unfavorably; another third are undecided or don't have an opinion of her. As Clinton weighs a presidential bid, her favorable views are 12 points lower than they were in the fall of 2013, just months after leaving her position as secretary of state. Her unfavorable views have ticked up slightly, but the percentage that is undecided about her has risen eight points....”

The report also provided some other interesting data:  “When asked to evaluate Hillary Clinton on some key characteristics, the public gives Clinton her most negative marks on honesty. Fewer than half - 42 percent- say she is honest and trustworthy, while more - 47 percent - don't think she is....   More than six in 10 Americans do not think it was appropriate for Hillary Clinton to use a personal email address and server for work-related matters as secretary of state....  ”

  1. Funny, I watched the same news report and read the same polling results and Hillary has a 67% approval rating with leadership and trustworthiness as her strongest traits favorable to voters. But I am not surprised that you would mischaracterize the nation's view of Hillary. It is in keeping with your earlier post on Congressional candidate Vinny Gentile. In that post you headlined accusing Mr. Gentile of race-baiting when all of the facts and documentary evidence proved to the contrary. You Gale start with a conclusion and then create an analysis out of thin air to support your conclusion. I know a disgraced former prosecutor who did that. He'd nab some innocent and then have his office create a case - out of thin air - it worked for awhile - for years in fact - but eventually Brooklyn caught on to him and voted him out. I hear he's shilling for Dan Donovan these days. Are you?

  2. RESPONSE: THE "PROFESSOR CHARLES KINGSFIELD - 'PLEASE, TAKE THIS QUARTER, CALL YOUR MOTHER AND TELL HER THAT YOU WILL NEVER BE A LAWYER' [STARRING JOHN HOUSEMAN]" EDITION

Your comment above is so full of factual, logical and, yes, even moral errors; I wouldn't know where to begin to unravel your Gordian knot of of nonsense and untruth; other than to say, I completely disagree --- Plus, I've double-checked my sources and looked at the Scott Pelley clip, yet again; and I can only conclude that you either were looking at reports of some other poll or you are just lying. There is absolutely NO "Hillary has a 67% approval rating with leadership and trustworthiness as her strongest traits favorable to voters..." in the polling material that I cited and Scott Pelley reported on last night --- none, zilch, nada, goose egg, shut out. --- I HOPE THAT YOU GET IT, but I suspect that, perhaps, you already had....

  4. RESPONSE, UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE “THIS IS JUST HILLARY-OUS” EDITION

SOMETIMES “YOU JUST CAN’T MAKE THIS STUFF UP” DOESN’T COME CLOSE TO TELLING THE UNDERLYING PROFOUND TRUTH OF SOMETHING — HERE IS THE LATEST ATTEMPT BY THE HILLARY CLINTON FOLKS TO EXERCISE THE KIND OF “THOUGHT CONTROL” THAT GEORGE ORWELL WARNED US ABOUT ALMOST SEVENTY YEARS AGO

According to tweets by NY Times writer Amy Chozick a group calling itself HRC Super Volunteers [btw, one of my BSIs has already infiltrated that bunch (Shh ! I won't tell....)] has put out a list of words that demonstrate “coded sexism.” — Those twelve “words” are the following: “polarizing”; “calculating”; “disingenuous”; “insincere”; “ambitious”; “inevitable”; “entitled”; “over confident” [yes, I know, that’s two words, but it’s their list not mine]; “secretive”; “will do anything to win" [yes, I know, that’s more than two words, but like I said, it’s their list not mine]; "represents the past" [see my prior bracketed remarks]; and "out of touch" [more of the same].

In its own feature about the Chozick tweets and the yahoos from HRC Super Volunteers, the Washington Post noted that the words have been used against Clinton in the past, but typically by Clinton's opponents or conservative media (See “The 13 words you can’t write about Hillary Clinton anymore” by Aaron Blake, 3/26.15, Washington Post [http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2015/03/26/the-13-words-you-cant-write-about-hillary-clinton-anymore/]). However, the WaPo noted that neither of those groups would likely be swayed by a warning that they would "be on notice"; and that a quick online search returns Clinton's name with the word "ambitious" 556,000 times. That's far more than most of the male GOP field, but Clinton also has been well known for far longer. (If there is a problem with this WaPo article, it is that so much of its analysis involves the word “ambitious” and the concept of ambition.

As far as I’m concerned, HRC Super Volunteers have provided everybody with a list of modifiers that all work very well in describing Hillary Clinton. We all owe them a debt of gratitude.

Also my list above is of twelve (12) words an phrases — I’m too tired to track down the thirteenth.

  5. Laugh all you want Gale as you find mocking Hillary and her supporters hilarious. President Woodrow Wilson also laughed at and mocked the suffragists and Susan B. Anthony. That is until they won the right to vote. Today we celebrate the suffragists as heroes. A Hillary presidency will work to advance the full participation of women and girls around the world. Because of that our nation will be stronger and we will have a more prosperous economy. So keep laughing. In 22 months we will be calling Hillary Madam President.

  6. Strange that Woodrow Wilson would be mocking Susan B Anthony since she died a decade before he took office.

  7. You must be Gale's lead historian. Read Wilson's biography and you will learn what he said about Susan B. Anthony. But then again I am suggesting you read a book and I'm sure you rarely do that as Breitbart is most likely your exclusive reading material.

  8. Electing Hillary as our next president of the United States will cause men to beat their wives??? Feminists know that it is watching football that does that. And Hillary's election will cause "marginal men" to assault women? Marginal men? You must be this blog's Diversity and Cultural Sensitivity Expert.

    Mayo God help us.

  10. The commentator a few places back is 100% correct. Electing Hillary Clinton to be President of the United States will have a devastating psychological and sociological impact on two very large groups of "marginal males." Being ruled by a white female will be seen as a re-imposition of slavery by many non-successful black men. Also except for the stigmatization of slavery, the same sort of thing will happen to unsuccessful white boys and men). The social pathologies of those populations will blow off the charts.

  11. Hello above. You must be Brooklyn's very own revisionist historian - like David Barton in Texas. Bill O'Reilly makes up stories too. A Tea Party trait I suspect.

In 2008 Hillary had the Iowa primary stolen from her by Obama. She graciously then began almost immediately to campaign for and support his candidacy and she urged her voters to do the same. We expect that Obama's supporters will now leading up to 2016 fully support Hillary's candidacy.

I must correct your ill-gotten understanding about the Slave Era and white women's status. Historically, white men had far more power over their white women than they did over Black male slaves. Daughters were the property of fathers and then became the property of husbands. In fact, a married white woman back then was considered property for all legal purposes in the courts. She could not enter into a contract or even make an adult decision without his approval. If she got into trouble with the law it was the man who was held accountable. Hence, white women never had authority over Black slaves because they themselves were treated like children and had no authority. There is no lingering resentment from the Black male community toward white women. The struggle for women's equality has always been to be emancipated from the white male patriarchy. There is no connection to Black males in this movement. So you are incorrect. And now you have been corrected.
