Justice Schmidt dismisses “Marty Golden’s” suit to remove Craig Eaton as Republican County Chairman

Suit by four nominal “Republicans for Change” petitioners fails to name several necessary parties, including the NYS Board of Elections and several Brooklyn GOP county officials elected at the 2013 Brooklyn GOP County Convention

Earlier today Justice David Schmidt published his decision in the 2013 case: In the Matter of the Application of Diane Haslett Rudiano, Glen Nocera, Maureen Daley and Marie E. Daley  -against-    Craig Eaton, et al. (Kings County Supreme Court, Special Election Part: Index No.: 17848/2013).   It was pretty much all bad news for the plaintiff-petitioners, who were the stalking horses for State Senator Martin Golden, Timothy Cochrane and the self-styled “Republicans for Change” slate (See “#EpicFail - Marty Golden's RFC Loses - Again - To Craig Eaton & Brooklyn GOP” by Gene Berardelli, 2/28/14, Brooklyn GOP Radio >Official< Show Blog [http://brooklyngopradio.blogspot.com/2014/02/epicfail-marty-goldens-rfc-loses-again.html] for a Scribd. copy of the complete decision by Justice Schmidt  —  and a very nifty cartoon of somebody’s VICTORY DANCE).

  1. None if matters. Marty is unstoppable. He obviously cut a deal with the Dems (secretly supporting Recchia against Grimm, meeting with deBlasio supporting universal tax hikes- I mean pre-k...).

And for all intents and purposes it looks like the current Brooklyn GOP had the fight knocked out of them and will also be giving Golden a pass.

  3. The Republicans for Change, led by Marty Golden, is a pathetic group. Lets go over their history: first, John Quaglione, a poor excuse for a human being, runs for a position: LOSES. Then, Timmy "Hot Dog" Cochrane runs for a position: LOSES. Then, they appeal and guess what the decision was? LOSS! Marty - throw in the towel. Or since you are best buds with DeBlasio now, maybe ask him if the PC will rehire you even though you were a failure as a police officer also? I am sure a little brown nosing could get you back on the beat.

    1. Maybe if he sucks up enough, they can put him on the same beat as NYPD Auxiliary Police Office Glen Nocera - they are both incompetent "law enforcement" officers.

    2. OPINION: THE "RALLY AND SALLY" EDITION

Everybody above is looking at this through the wrong end of the telescope.

Golden's, Cochrane's and the Republicans' for Change series of losses is a sign of their weakness and an opportunity for the county organization to rally the troops and sally forth against the big man himself in one on one combat with their own champion.

Remember, you can't beat somebody with nobody.

    3. Ok Gale, who?

Lots of talk from lots of people.

What there isn't a lot of is ACTION.

  4. It is quite obvious over the course of the last few months that Golden is an absolute nobody in Brooklyn. Yes, congrats to Golden for getting certain streets plowed during the snowstorm, but it is very funny how Golden's attempts to put people in any positions have failed: Quaglione and Cochrane were both losers, as if Marty. This will be quite obvious to everyone when he loses this upcoming election. Adios Officer Marty.

  5. Gale, I heard that Cockrane is moving to Queens to live in his house once it is finished. I heard he sold his house in Bay Ridge. These are all from good sources. Why then would Golden have made such a mistake to try to have Tim "Hot Dog" Cockrane become the Chairman of a County he will no longer be living in? What a real stupid move.....as if, any of their other moves were smart...

  6. I hear Golden received an endorsement from Mayor Deblasio's son.
