Eaton has gotten nothing but crap from Grimm — So, it’s about time for Eaton to deliver his own “Suet Sandwich” to “Mickey Suits” — It’s... Delightful, Delicious, Delectable ... It’s De-limit... It’s Delovely ! ! !
The Grimm scandals look like they are nearing critical mass — and an ad hoc alliance between the Brooklyn GOP and a rump Tea Party faction would have immediate credibility if the SI GOP panjandrums and poobahs want to stick with Grimm
Even if Eaton doesn’t have Antoniello’s number programmed on his cell, he should take the trouble to look it up, and give SI's "Gentleman John" the courtesy of getting on the bandwagon nice and early. Besides, if the call isn't taken in the friendly spirit with which it should be delivered, the Brooklyn leadership owes the collective Staten Island GOP a headache or three. This would be a gift that would keep on giving to all the deserving SI GOP personalities, factions and office-holders, from the relatively young to the absolutely ancient.
From Eaton’s perspective it would be a win-win-win. Eaton looks like he needs to put on his Brooklyn intra-party war paint in 2014 anyway, since his own Law Chairman and Party Secretary have already taken a blood oath against State Senator Golden. So since Grimm isn’t strong on the Brooklyn side of the Narrows anyway, force Golden and Grimm to run openly as a team. — Btw, that’s a case where the whole would be less than the separate parts. — And right now in Bay Ridge, it would be tough to say which of the two is the bigger hole (or should that be "in the bigger hole" ?). Also any kind of call like this to Mr. Antoniello will be news – all by itself. And it's always good to get your name in the news, just ask Chris Christie and "Mickey Suits".
Craig, if you want any more great ideas, I have a million of ‘em....
Recchia was a lousy councilman, which means he'll make a horrible congressman.
ReplyDeleteSomethings gotta give, however, the stuff on Grimm was before voters in 2012 and he won.
It's getting piled higher and he's in it deeper ... he's on his tippy-tippy toes as I write this.
DeleteSo what's the problem ? Grimm is a bachelor -- he's got an old girlfriend who screwed him up. What real guy hasn't been there and done that? Was she the one in the john in Bay Ridge ? Probably not, "old girlfriends" don't do a lot of that, unless they are distraught - then they might do anything.
ReplyDeleteWhat gets me though is where is this mutt from? He's here - he's there: he's in Iraq, then it's New Jersey, then it's Texas and then it's Queens and then it's Staten Island.
And the undercover stuff and then his real business partner and he's in the FBI and then he's not. And the medals don't even go there
Don't worry Eaton will make that call when it is time.
ReplyDeleteWe are all ready for a change.
Even if Eaton goes against both Grimm and Golden, they don't have to run as a team. Their primaries if there are any will probably be at different times.
ReplyDeleteFrom the sound of it Gallo and Beradelli also have a blood oath against Grimm too. At least I know Gallo does....
ReplyDeleteAll that anger gonna burn that boy up .... or maybe only keep him warm on these cold winter nights....
DeleteGrimm is irrelevant - Craig should focus on taking down Marty after all of the things he has done to Craig in the past year. Someone must take Marty out of office, he is a corrupt politician and has been getting away with it for far too long.
ReplyDeleteWhat did the Governor know and when did he know it?
ReplyDeleteWINNER OF THE VAGUENESS AWARD !
DeleteAS HEARD LAST NIGHT ON BROOKLYN GOP BLOG-TALK RADIO:
ReplyDeleteEven though Gene Berardelli did try to do a lead-in to a segment about Congressman Grimm, his lead was only followed by a Frank Russo, a guest on the show. Among other hats, Russo is the President of TBTP aka the Tea Party in Brooklyn. Russo restated the position of TBTP and at least one faction of the Staten Island Tea Party that Grimm was put in with the help of the Tea Party and the Tea Party no longer is supporting Grimm.
UPDATE: THE “LET’S JUST GRIMM AND BEAR IT” EDITION
ReplyDeleteSI ADVANCE SAYS “REPUBLICANS ON STATEN ISLAND MAKE UNANIMOUS ENDORSEMENT OF GRIMM”
According to a report on the Staten Island Advance blog, “Despite continuing concerns regarding his campaign financing, Rep. Michael Grimm got a unanimous endorsement from the executive committee of the Staten Island Republican Party Friday night at their GOP headquarters....” (See “Republicans on Staten Island make unanimous endorsement of Grimm” by Kiawana Rich, 1/17/14, SI Advance/ silive.com [http://www.silive.com/news/index.ssf/2014/01/staten_island_gop_party_gives.html]).
Other key bits of information that appeared on the Advance blog included, the following: SI GOP Chairman Antoniello stressed that Grimm "keeps telling us he did nothing wrong.... I am going to believe him." He also mentioned “Until proven otherwise....”; also it was noted that no other Republicans were interviewed for the Grimm slot, and that the recommendation Grimm's nomination must be approved by the larger Republican county committee at a future convention.
or craig can endorse michael allegretti again
ReplyDeleteSounds like a plan -- maybe, not the best plan -- but, a plan nonetheless....
