Why I AM Thankful for State Senator Martin Golden

I am thankful for Marty Golden, because he is very lucky, generally good humored, somewhat talented, occasionally generous and works pretty hard.

For the most part, he brings all that to his vocation as a public official; and we all get some benefit from it.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO MARTY GOLDEN, TO ALL BROOKLYN GOP ACTIVISTS, ESPECIALLY CHAIRMAN CRAIG EATON, AND TO EVERYBODY ELSE WHO GIVES A HOOT ABOUT THE BROOKLYN REPUBLICAN PARTY AND DOES ANYTHING POSITIVE ON ITS BEHALF IN ANY WAY

ON THIS THANKSGIVING, EVERYBODY OF WHATEVER POLITICAL STRIPE OR PLUMAGE, ENJOY YOUR LIVES AND YOUR SITUATIONS AS BEST YOU CAN, IT'S ALL THAT YOU HAVE FOR NOW

And always remember, living well is the best revenge --- and we should all be thankful for that as we endeavor to achieve it.

  1. Jimmy Carter also worked hard.

    See what good that did

  2. Marty Golden has nothing to be thankful for - he is a washed up cop because he is too soft to cut it and got "hurt" - also, Quaglione lost, Testaverde lost, Lhota lost, and Cochrane lost - hopefully, Marty, your wife and two sons appreciate you because no one else in Brooklyn does.

  3. Incumbents, as we know, seldom get beat.
But it can be done if you know what causes the incumbent to lose.
The way to beat Marty Golden is in a Conservative primary.
    A real Conservative beats him.

    1. How does any candidate not enrolled in the Conservative Party get their name on the ballot without a Wilson-Pakula from State Senator Golden's Chief of Staff, Conservative Party Chairman Jerry Kassar ?

What person in the Conservative Party would run against Golden ? If there is one, I know people who would help them get onto the Conservative Line and give them $$$$ for their campaign once they're solidly in the race.

  4. I am thankful that in 2014 somebody (maybe a Rep or maybe a Dem) will take him out................he single handedly (or should I say with Kassar) destroyed Lhota's chances of winning by dividing and attempting to conquer, the Brooklyn GOP......and to think that he wanted to put in Tim-Hot-Dog-Cockrane as Chair.

Funny, but I just heard from a reliable source that Tim is now back at the Stock Exchange - lets see, his former firm squeezed him out and forced him to resign - then he went to work at Xaverian as Dir of Development for one year and his contract was not renewed because he was an empty (small) suit- then he went into an Empire Bus Maint Comany which failed - then a Hot Dog Company which failed - now he is back to where all his failures started.....maybe he is looking to line up jobs for Golden, Kassar and others........in Jan 2015.....

  5. It's past Thanksgiving 2013, and other than a few Republican-Conservative incumbents, who are presumably running for re-election, I don't know of a single candidate who is openly talking about running for any office on the GOP line in 2014.

It's time for somebody to step up -- several somebodies to step up -- and declare their intentions to run for the various offices that are up for grabs in 2014.

At this stage it's a lot like the kids' game, "King of the Hill." Declare yourself a candidate, put together a team, introduce yourself around (like at the holiday parties) and wait until somebody else tries to say that you're not. Then, of course, take issue with them.....before wishing them "Happy Holidays"....

  6. I nominate Quaglione to be the "KIng of all Losers".
He ran for the only seat that Republicans had a shot at.
The only seat Republicans used to own.
Quagliones numbers demonstrate it may be impossible for it to be a competitive seat ever again.

  7. Quaglione is a joke - thanks to him, Gentile won by his biggest margin EVER - goes to show how well Quaglione and his slave driver Marty Golden did - no ones respects them and Golden has got to go in 2014.

  8. Word I'm getting is Goldens getting a Wilson/Pakula from Seddio as payback for supporting Hynes.

    1. Now that would be a big gift both to hard-core anti-Golden Democrats and hard-core anti-Golden Republicans.

Do it, Frank. Please, please, please!

  9. Not likely. Golden is now Target Zero for Senate Democrats. They know he is vulnerable, have seen the hatred for him within the Brooklyn GOP, and are confident he will commit more self-inflicted wounds before next fall.
