There is proof that Marty Golden was there — he appears in published photos and videos — it’s mentioned by him on facebook and twitter
Suspicions are growing that the Republican-Conservative State Senator from Brooklyn might have been the victim of a cyber attack himself
Two days have passed since our State Senator was “co-host” of this “massive” event at the Griffis Institute in Rome, New York. The NY state senators were gathered there to hold hearings to discuss “a threat even greater than nuclear war”; and State Senator Golden was there in his capacity as Chairman of the New York State Senate Select Committee on Science, Technology, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship.
In spite of the momentous import of the event, there has been no press release or other communication from State Senator Golden or his staff about what happened at the hearings, or what State Senator Golden did or said while he was there. Furthermore, there has not been any explanation or excuse as to why neither State Senator Golden nor his staff has made an informative and timely report of these proceedings; it has been more than two days since the event.
If these matters have been “Classified” in any way, I apologize for this snarky post.
Marty is a joke - all his guys lost, including Lhota, Testaverde, Quaglione, Cochrane - this old man should get the hint and move along.
ReplyDeleteNone of this cyber-security problem is a joke. New York State has no plan to stop or remedy anything.
DeleteEverybody needs to ask State Senator Golden what is the New York State plan to prevent or minimize a large scale cyber attack.
Cochrane did not lose yet there is a court case in January so don't get ahead of yourself
DeleteAlso tell me which one of eatons people won
DeleteIn rebuttal to "Anonymous November 21, 2013 at 3:48 PM": Cochrane did lose at the GOP County Convention; then the results were officially filed at the NYS Board of Elections; there was no administrative objection to that filing and that filing has not been challenged in court; btw there is a Motion to DIsmiss the "court case in January" that Justice Schmidt might well decide long before January....
DeleteIn answer to "Anonymous November 21, 2013 at 3:51 PM":
The whole slate proposed at the convention, including some members of the RFC bunch.
The elections that mattered were the Primary and General. What happened at the convention is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

ReplyDeleteSTATE SENATOR GOLDEN CHAIRMAN OF THE NEW YORK STATE SENATE SELECT COMMITTEE ON SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, INCUBATION, AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP STILL FAILS TO MAKE ANY REPORT OF HIS PARTICIPATION IN KEY SECURITY HEARINGS
It is well into the third day since State Senator Martin Golden was, as his own words have claimed, “co-host” of the “massive” “CYBERSECURITY: DEFENDING NEW YORK FROM CYBER ATTACKS” hearings held at the Griffis Institute in Rome, New York on November 18th, 2013. Checking State Senator Golden’s official home page, as well as various search engines, for any press releases or other announcements has failed to uncover any report relative to State Senator Golden’s appearance as a host or panelist and/or other participation in the hearings on cybersecurity held in Rome, New York earlier this week.
What is/are Marty Golden and/or his staff waiting for ?
Are there any TECHNICAL problems that are effecting Golden’s computer outlets ? There are some indications that there just might be.... Is Marty the victim of hacking or some other breach of his personal cybersecurity ?
Golden's staff screwing the pooch again.
ReplyDeleteThe key question about the "Technical problems that are effecting Golden's computer outlets" is possibly technically complex, but more likely technically and practically very simple.
DeleteHere's another related to the first, and not necessarily posed in the alternative -- was it just incompetence or might it have involved betrayal ?
Some have suggested that it might have been an arguable betrayal by somebody taking advantage of a glaring incident of staff incompetence.
Has anyone hear the rumblings about Eaton? Sounds like the last shoe is about to drop on him and his posse...
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean what rumblings please explain if you heard anything juicy
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lot of bullshit to me......it is Golden who will have the last shoe dropping......
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, I am curious what the first shoes that dropped were? As far as I can see, Eaton has been cleared of everything...he is not County Chairman No. 1 as Golden and Kassar told everyone...he won at the State GOP Convention when his State Committee Candidates were made members of State Committee....he won the convention......and he will win the lawsuit......what exactly are the first shoes that dropped Mr. Anonymous-I can't seem to find any such shoes?
ReplyDeleteA broken down cop running Science & Technolgy.
ReplyDeleteA cross between Barney (has anyone seen my gun) Fife & Fredo.
Shoes dropping, shoes dropping, shoes dropping.... all of them into the works of the Brooklyn GOP.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a piece of classical "sabotage" -- doesn't it !
UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE “I’ll PITCH IN AND HELP OUT” EDITION
ReplyDeleteSTATE SENATOR GOLDEN CHAIRMAN OF THE NEW YORK STATE SENATE SELECT COMMITTEE ON SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, INCUBATION, AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP MAINTAINS “RADIO SILENCE” CLEARLY UNABLE TO MAKE A TIMELY REPORT OF HIS PARTICIPATION IN THE CYBER-SECURITY HEARINGS HELD ON NOVEMBER 18th
It has been four days since State Senator Martin Golden was at the “CYBERSECURITY: DEFENDING NEW YORK FROM CYBER ATTACKS” hearings held at the Griffis Institute in Rome, New York on this past Monday afternoon. Continuous checking of State Senator Golden’s official home page, as well as broader searches on various search engines, has not turned up any press releases or other announcements, any other report specifically relative to State Senator Golden’s appearance as a chairman, host, panelist and/or other participation in the hearings on cybersecurity held in Rome, New York earlier this week.
Rather than wonder why no timely report of the proceedings has been forthcoming from Golden, the Golden staff or the staff of The New York State Senate Select Committee on Science, Technology, Incubation and Entrepreneurship, I figured that I should pitch in and help out.
Those interested in obtaining an insight into the testimony and materials presented at the November 18, 2013 hearing on “Cybersecurity: Defending New York From Cyber Attacks” can access them at the following site: “State Gov- Banks Updates: Testimony from Cyber Security: Defending New York from Cyberattacks” posted by Admin; Created 11/21/2013 - 11:09am; Last Updated 11/21/2013 - 12:29pm [http://appliedweb.org/feed-item/493/state-gov-banks-updates-testimony-cyber-security-defending-new-york-cyberattacks]. Within that site are links to the following: files of the “testimony” submitted into the record of the 11/18/13 hearing [http://www.nysenate.gov/files/pdfs/Hearing%20testimony.pdf]; Video of the entire hearing at “New York State Senate Public Hearing on Cyber Security - 11/18/13” published 11/19/13, You Tube [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21IhSWt1V0w] (See State Senator Marty Golden do his Georgie Jessel imitation in his extremely insightful and technical introductory remarks at the 7:35 to 9:01 mark; where among other gems, the state senator says he wants to compare the efforts of New York State “... with the much praised models of Michigan and West Virginia....”
There is also a “Newsroom” item by State Senator Griffo, “Testimony from Cyber Security: Defending New York from Cyberattacks” posted by Jude Seymour 11/21/13, webpage of State Senator Joseph A. Griffo [http://www.nysenate.gov/testimony/testimony-cyber-security-defending-new-york-cyberattacks]. (This post at the Griffo site also contains internal links to the You Tube and the hearing testimony pdf, both cited above).
Btw, why is the “Newsroom” on State Senator Griffo’s webpage able to do a report on the Monday, November 18th hearings by Thursday, when Golden’s can’t have it up on his “Newsroom” by Friday (hint – just copy it) ? Is somebody chairing The New York State Senate Select Committee on Science, Technology, Incubation and Entrepreneurship asleep at the switch ? Or, is there a problem with Golden’s staff in Brooklyn or Albany ?
UPDATE: THE "HOW LONG WILL THIS STONEWALLING LAST" EDITION
ReplyDeleteSTATE SENATOR GOLDEN CHAIRMAN OF THE NEW YORK STATE SENATE SELECT COMMITTEE ON SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, INCUBATION, AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP IS EITHER UNABLE TO MAKE A TIMELY REPORT OF HIS PARTICIPATION IN THE CYBER-SECURITY HEARINGS HELD ON NOVEMBER 18TH --- OR HE HAS SOME ULTERIOR REASON FOR NOT MAKING ANY PUBLIC REPORT
It has been virtually a whole week since State Senator Martin Golden was at the “CYBERSECURITY: DEFENDING NEW YORK FROM CYBER ATTACKS” hearings held last Monday afternoon, 11/18/13, at the Griffis Institute in Rome, New York.
Repeated checking of State Senator Golden’s official home page, and broader searches on various search engines, has not turned up any press releases or other announcements, or any other report specifically relative to State Senator Golden’s appearance as a chairman, host, panelist and/or other participation in the hearings on cybersecurity held in Rome, New York last Monday.
What is especially strange about all of this is that some press flak bothered to make several releases through Senator Golden's official webpage to announce the upcoming hearing, "CYBERSECURITY: DEFENDING NEW YORK FROM CYBER ATTACKS" that had been scheduled and was held as scheduled on November 18th; but there has been no similar effort to inform Chairman State Senator Golden's followers about what happened at the event vis a vis Golden.
Gale, the report your looking for is there under the tab on Golden's website for Committees. Its the video of the whole 4 1/2 hour hearing. This is a brilliant way to handle the material put it out there in a completely unmanageable format.
DeleteDOn't expect any written report anytime soon. Neither Golden nor anybody connected to him wants too much looking into this Science, Technology, Incubators and Entrepreneurship business. Actually, the state senate select committee is missing one key descriptive word in its name to tell you what its all about -- "BOONDOGGLES".
Keep pluggin away at this, Gale.
