But when will the GOP primary campaign heat up ?
“Is there anybody there ? Does anybody care...” – “1776”
According to a Colin Campbell report in today’s Politicker, “With just over two weeks to go before they face off in the September 10 Republican primary, John Catsimatidis and Joe Lhota have taken their battle to the air.” (See “Airwaves Heat Up in Republican Mayoral Contest” by Colin Campbell, 8/26/13, NY Observer/Politicker [http://politicker.com/2013/08/airwaves-heat-up-in-republican-mayoral-contest/]).
Unfortunately, neither the campaign of John “Cats” Catsimatidis nor the one of his opponent Joseph Lhota has heated up the GOP electorate. The adds of both campaigns don’t reflect any real theme and the mail isn’t any better.
Does anybody have a solid notion who is ahead ? Does anybody whose name is not Lhota or Catsimatidis really care ?
Nobody cares, they're too distracted by the intense excitement surrounding Chairman Eaton's coming downfall.
ReplyDeleteWe appreciate dry humor on this blog...
DeleteI wouldnt count Eaton out so soon....a lot will be happening between now and the end of October....
ReplyDeleteEnd of October ?
DeleteA well-produced robo-call tells 46th AD Republicans that Nussbaum and Potter are "Endorsed by the Kings County Republican Party..." . If that's true, will that be enough to put them over the top ?
ReplyDeletebtw, I missed the call myself; but no worry, one of my Baker Street Irregulars with the KCRP made sure I heard a recording. That's how I was able to tell you that it was "well-produced".
Has anybody seen or heard from Sarta and Annarummo ? Are they in witness protection because of some investigation involving "The Samoan Shaman" and shredded petitions at the BOE ? If anybody gets any kind of message from the "Republicans for Change" Dynamic Duo in the 46th AD, please let me know. If I see the pair's picture and bio on a milk container, I'll post about it right away.
There is rumor of a Gene Russo palm card that looks like it's for Sarta and Clorinda and Rudy Guiliani....
DeleteOne of the professional advisers to the KCRP is very critical of a significant outlay by some of those trying to take on "Brooklyn Republicans for Change" independently.
ReplyDeleteEverybody needs to remember that one person's "gift horse" might seem to others like a "Trojan Horse."
To a neutral observer everybody involved might look like just a handful of Trojans.
