The above is the title of a “featured” post in a blog “Berardelli, Esq. [http://www.berardelliesq.com/] (Copyright © 2013 BerardelliEsq.com - The Official Site of Gene Berardelli, Esq.. All Rights Reserved )
Will someone, please, look at this particular post [http://www.berardelliesq.com/on-politics/item/19-what-has-become-of-honor?.html], read it and think about it for a while. Then drop us a comment and let me know if “Berardelli, Esq. — What Has Become Of Honor? — Featured ” says anything meaningful or makes any sense at all.
ReplyDeleteUPDATE: Several searchers have clicked the post above; I’m sure a least a few others have read it in passing while on this blog for something else. So far, nobody has commented – frankly, I quite understand their/your reticence.
“Just so you know where I’m coming from,” the author-of or the author-who-is Berardelli, Esq., in his effort to make some point about “honor” or the lack of it in the contemporary socio-political milieu, throws around that term and quite a few others without giving any definition(s) or even working description(s) of the thing(s) about which he’s talking/blogging. Another problem with this “featured” post is that few if any of Berardelli, Esquire’s propositions are properly formed; so, who can even tell what he’s getting at, much less whether he is right or wrong.
In short, the March 1st “featured” post by Berardelli, Esq., “What Has Become Of Honor?” is one big steaming mess that makes no sense at all.
Anybody who wants to defend even a small piece of it is welcome to try.
The first four paragraphs, Gene was talking about himself.
ReplyDeleteHe does not do "good things for the sake of just doing good things", he out and out lies "to your face as if it was an art form", and he manuevers, cajoles, and screws "good, honorable people over - all to be the head of [his] little fiefdom where all that is done revolves around maintaining a illusory power that's just as temporary and fleeting as life itself".
He wants to be "wants to be king of [his] own little anthill (think GOP Radio) and they are willing to compromise [himself] to do so"
The punchline:
More often than not, he wants "to accomplish something bigger than [himself]"
That is a tall order.
This is hardly a "defense" of the Berardelli, Esq., “What Has Become Of Honor?” post, although what you've accomplished in turning the table on "Gene" is actually give “What Has Become Of Honor?” some grounding in something real --- the dark side of "Gene" "Berardelli, Esq." ...
DeleteYour comment even suggests a whole new insight into what "Gene" "Berardelli, Esq." has been up to for quite some time now. However, that will require an entirely separate posting some time in the future (I'm actually going to prepare some notes on it right after I finish this "Reply").
Although I still hold out some hope that someone will attempt to defend any of what "Berardelli, Esq." writ in “What Has Become Of Honor?”; thank you for taking this into an entirely different direction for me
