In it Galewyn writes (I am paraphrasing):

Names of Catholic leaders invited to the White House by Papist President John Fitzgerald Kennedy (Gale always uses middle names for our Presidents - out of respect)have been released!
Newsmax reports that Catholic clergy dressed in black with white collars - one wearing a long dress - have been seen entering the White House. These were a select group of individuals with disturbing ties to the Roman Curia and are known to have direct links to the Vatican. Newsmax goes on to report that non-Catholics are treated as second class citizens and are not permitted to receive Holy Communion. Importantly, Galewyn Massey perceptively points out that this visit took place while at the very same time the Conciliar sessions are going on in Rome. Coincidence? Not according to Massey. This is a deliberate effort to have the Pope take over the United States government. Galewyn then ends his post with an appropriate Broadway lyric from . . . A man for All Seasons, Man of La Mancha, or maybe it was a ditty from Camelot . . . Jesuit priest Thomas Reese and an America magazine contributor also spoke glowingly of Obama's reminder to us of the truth of the Crusades and how we need to be mindful of the hateful acts perpetrated throughout history in the name of Christ. It is amazing to me how here at this blog you try to "whitewash" the sins of our faith and the errant decisions our Church has made throughout history. However, there was no explanation as to why Mr. Schults’ remarks did no appear to convey a complete thought about America’s greatness.

There was another major gap in Eric Schultz’ remarks to the press. When asked about the President’s reaction to the intense critical response to some of his remarks at the National Prayer Breafast, “Schultz said he had not spoken with the president about reaction to his remarks at the prayer breakfast. *** ‘But I know that there is a failed presidential candidate and an RNC chairman from the past who have criticized us,’ Schultz said. ‘But I don’t have a response to either of those two people.’...” Again, there was no explanation as to why neither the President nor his press spokesman attempted to make any rebuttal to, or even to make any substantive comment about, the wave of criticism coming from politicians, Christian leaders and just plain folks, along with significant parts of the press and the news media.Galewyn Masseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09210379476512207622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3872239785607728837.post-36778334007412122042015-02-06T22:05:59.260-05:002015-02-06T22:05:59.260-05:00UPDATE: THE “LIBERAL MEDIA REPEATS THE OUTRAGE&quo...UPDATE: THE “LIBERAL MEDIA REPEATS THE OUTRAGE"

OBAMA’S AND HIS SUPPORTERS’ MESSAGES ARE NOW BECOMING CLEARER: “WE HAVE MET ISIS AND THEY ARE US” OR “WHEN IT COMES TO MUSLIMS, IT’S VERY IMPORTANT FOR CHRISTIANS TO BE SELF-CRITICAL TO THE POINT OF DOUBTING THEMSELVES”

The first such article that I saw was in the Washington Post; and it said this, among other things*: “President Obama has never been one to go easy on America. *** As a new president, he dismissed the idea of American exceptionalism, noting that Greeks think their country is special, too. He labeled the Bush-era interrogation practices, euphemistically called “harsh” for years, as torture. America, he has suggested, has much to answer given its history in Latin America and the Middle East. *** His latest challenge came Thursday at the National Prayer Breakfast. At a time of global anxiety over Islamist terrorism, Obama noted pointedly that his fellow Christians, who make up a vast majority of Americans, should perhaps not be the ones who cast the first stone....” ( See “Critics pounce after Obama talks Crusades, slavery at prayer breakfast” by Juliet Eilperin, 1/5/15 [but very late in the evening], Washington Post [http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/obamas-speech-at-prayer-breakfast-called-offensive-to-christians/2015/02/05/6a15a240-ad50-11e4-ad71-7b9eba0f87d6_story.html]).

The gist of the WaPo article is that Obama has repeatedly let everybody know that, in so many ways, he is willing to look at America as the bad guy. So when it comes to questioning the religious beliefs of ISIS and other Islamic extremists, saying that American Christians shouldn’t get on their high horse, because it was their Christian beliefs that are often behind what has made America a bad guy in the world, is simply being consistent.

“The Atlantic” saw fit to set up its own straw man of the crypto-religious underpinnings of the American Confederacy in an effort to provide cover for the president, and salve the political wounds resulting from Obama’s anti-Christian barbs (See “The Foolish, Historically Illiterate, Incredible Response to Obama's Prayer Breakfast Speech” by Ta-Nahisi Coates, 2/6/15, The Atlantic [http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2015/02/the-foolish-historically-illiterate-incredible-response-to-obamas-prayer-breakfast-speech/385246/]).

Using a photograph of a KKK fiery-cross as his backdrop, Mr. Coates gives a lengthy quote from Confederate Vice President Alexander Stephens, which clearly focused on a religious justification of slavery. Oddly, there is no mention of Christ or Christian teaching in the lengthy quote of VP Stephens that “The Atlantic” used.

Not content with that, Ta-Nahisi Coates decided that he needed to get into the Obama American-Christian bashing act himself with his penultimate gem: “Pointing out that Americans have done, on their own soil, in the name of their own God, something similar to what ISIS is doing now does not make ISIS any less barbaric, or any more correct. That is unless you view the entire discussion as a kind of religious one-upmanship, in which the goal is to prove that Christianity is ‘the awesomest.’...” Of course, Ta-Nahisi saved his best for last, closing with this: “Obama seemed to be going for something more—faith leavened by 'some doubt.' If you are truly appalled by the brutality of ISIS, then a wise and essential step is understanding the lure of brutality, and recalling how easily your own society can be, and how often it has been, pulled over the brink.”

Oh, I get it – “We have met ISIS and they are us.” – And people like Barack Hussein Obama and Ta-Nahisi Coates are just avatars of a “Muslim Pogo.”
thirty years or so....) .Galewyn Masseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09210379476512207622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3872239785607728837.post-24543951554637431952015-02-06T17:49:47.384-05:002015-02-06T17:49:47.384-05:00Gail, I thought that this was Dorothy, the Church ...Gail, I thought that this was Dorothy, the Church Lady, until the comment at February 6, 2015 at 12:32 PM.

If this person is a woman then it's somebody named "Janet from another planet" --- if it's a guy, it's got to be Barack Hussein Obama, doing his own push back.

Barry Obama is only guy that might say something like this, "If we ... Suffice it to say that killing people for insulting Mohammed and for leaving Islam are not practices that are rejected by orthodox muslims living in the muslim world. Granted, you can find a few people who are adherents to any religion who will do bad things. The real difference comes when there is a demonstrable departure from faith by an action (like, say, burning a prisoner of war alive) and when actions are endemic to a religion. Here I must note that Obama’s best friends in Iran continue to hang Christian converts from Islam....”

Megyn Kelly then took Obama to task for his historically skewed view of the Crusades, which were defensive campaigns to protect Christians and Christian Shrines in Christian lands invaded by the Muslims; concluding with this: “...To look at the Crusades as Western aggression is something only a community organizer could do.
