Both Golden and Eaton backed Allegretti as did most of the GOP officials Staten Island but ALlegretti was a flawed candidate. Plus in 1982 the old 50th AD, the Bay Ridge district was chopped up in reapportionment, a plan Senator Mega voted for.<br /><br />Yes Bob DiCarlo blew it, but he screwed up everything. When he got "the talk" from Kassar and Eaton, Sullivan switched districts to run for the "open" seat.
